UNDERSTANDING OXILEAF™ ULTRA
Control for the negative ion generator is separate from the O3 control.
Negative ions will be created around the clock to keep down dust and
other particulates. O3, also known as activated oxygen, is normally kept
at modest levels in occupied spaces. To remove heavy odors, the O3
may be adjusted to a higher level for a period of time. Some use a timer
to deodorize the home or oce while away. Unused O3reverts back to
O2 (oxygen) in about an hour.
OPERATION/SETTINGS AND CONTROLS
NOTE: Some features may not be included on all models.
Turn on the power switch (back of the unit), then turn the unit on (front
panel).
Press “Fan ∆” or “Fan ∇” to adjust airow speed. There are four levels
from which to choose. These buttons are also used to set/adjust the
time (hour).
Press “Ozone ∆” or “Ozone ∇” to adjust the level of activated oxygen
(O3). There are four levels. Use the following chart to determine the
proper setting for the area to be puried.
Press the “UV” button to activate this function and always keep this
turned on. The UV lamp works in conjunction with TiO2 photo-catalytic
lter. You will know that this feature is activated from the blue UV
indicator light on the front of the unit above the “UV” button.
“Anion” or ionization controls the production and dispersal of negative
ions. You will know that this feature is activated from the red “Power/
Anion” indicator light on the front of the unit above the “Power/Anion”

54
button. Anion activates by default automatically when the unit is turned
on, and stays on while unit is in operation.
“Time/Set” is used to set/adjust the unit’s displaying time and optional
ozone timer and unit timer, both of which are described in detail in
the next section with instructions to set. Whether or not you use the
optional ozone timer via the unit timer, you should set the proper time
on unit.
SETTING TIME AND USING OPTIONAL TIMER
To set the clock to the current time, press “Time/Set” once. The hour
and minutes will ash. While ashing, press “Fan ∆” or “Fan ∇” to set
the hour and press “Ozone ∆” or “Ozone ∇” to set the minutes. After
you input the correct time, press the “Time/Set” button one nal time to
set it and conclude the process.
NOTE: The air purier uses the standard U.S. 12-hour clock.
Your air purier features two digital built-in timers which work together
as one to control the sanitizing function (ozone) on a timer if you wish,
as directed below:
Unit timer: use this feature to control the ozone (O3) output to your liking
and sensitivity.
If for any reason you cannot run ozone 24/7, or you simply desire
controlled, intermittent O3 output, then the unit timer should be used.
The unit timer will simply turn o the ozone production after a certain
period of time by shutting down the entire unit, while preserving its
settings. Properly set, the same timer will then turn the unit back on
at the specied time with same settings as before. Thus, set once
the machine will turn itself on and o automatically at your preferred
time. This optional feature is for a small percentage of people who are
sensitive to ozone smell.
To set “Unit Timer”, rst turn o the unit by pressing the On/O button:
Make sure the air purier is plugged in and set to the correct time. Push
the On/O button on the instrument panel to turn o the unit. If the fan
has stopped spinning, the unit is ready to be programmed.
NOTE: Leave the power switch (back of unit) in the ON position. Use
only the On/O button on the front panel.
Use the “Fan ∆” and “Fan ∇” to set the desired fan speed. The setting
will be illuminated on the instrument panel’s LCD screen.
Use the “Ozone ∆” and “Ozone ∇” buttons to set the desired output
level. The output level will light up on the instrument panel. There are
four levels of ozone output: I, II, III, IV.
To turn on the UV light, press the UV button. Once pressed a blue light
on the instrument panel will light up under UV indicator conrming the
UV light has been turned on.
To select the time for the air purier to turn on, press Time/Set button
twice. On the LCD screen, Unit Timer will begin to blink. When blinking
use the “Fan ∆” and “Fan ∇” to set the hour you want the purier to
turn on. Pressing “Fan ∇” adds an hour to the time on the LCD screen,
pressing “Fan ∆” subtracts an hour from the time on the LCD screen.
To change the minutes of the time, use the “Ozone ∆” and “Ozone ∇”
buttons. The “Ozone ∆” button adds a minute to the time while the
“Ozone ∇” button subtracts a minute from the time. Once the desired
time is selected, press Time/Set again, Unit Timer/O on the LCD
screen will start to blink.
When Unit Timer/O is blinking, set the time that you wish to have the
air purier shut o. Us the “Fan ∆” and “Fan ∇” button to select the hour
you want the air purier to shut o. Use the “Ozone ∆” and “Ozone ∇”
buttons to select the minute you want the air purier to turn o.
To conrm the timer has been set successfully, press the Uniter Timer
button and right above it to the left on the instrument panel you should
now see a blinking red light under the Unit Time, which indicates the
Unit Timer function is on and the air purier will turn on and o at the
preselected time with all the functions at the levels you have chosen.
OZONE TIMER: DO NOT USE THE OZONE TIMER BY ITSELF! IT
WILL BE ACTIVATED FOR USE TOGETHER WITH THE UNIT TIMER,
FOLLOWING ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS.
USING A TIMER
Some users who are sensitive to ozone set their units up on a timer so
that the purier does its work only when they are away from home. This
allows for a higher setting and higher concentrations, which can be
more eective for purging purposes. The ozone will normally dissipate
in less than an hour after the purier is turned o. Simple timers plug
into an outlet and are available at hardware and variety stores. This unit
also features a built-in timer.

Does not cover negligence, accidents, lack of maintenance and
improper use.
One (1) year maintenance items warranty: ozone plates/UV bulb, HEPA
lter
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Wash the ceramic O3 plates once every 30 days. When the purier
no longer produces enough O3 to be eective, the plates should be
replaced. Depending on the environment where the unit is placed, it may
take longer or shorter for the plates to wear out. It is recommended to
replace the plates every 1-3 years for optimal performance.
To clean each plate, rst turn the unit o and unplug from outlet.
Remove all lters preceding the plates from the back of the unit, then
each 4” x 4” plate from the center. Pull the plate out rmly, but gently
towards you and out from the unit. Wash the plate carefully with warm
water on both sides of the plate and rinse it well. You can use a mixture
of warm water and ammonia (50/50 solution) and let the plate soak for
about 10-15 minutes, then gently scrub with a sti brush if deposits
are not coming o with water/solution alone. Be careful not to drop
the plate or scrub o the silicon. Clean both the metal screen and
the ceramic tile. Rinse plate in hot water and dry completely before
reinstalling. You may use a hair dryer to dry the plate. Reinstall plate,
making sure it is inserted all the way and seated securely in place.
Reassemble, plug unit into a grounded electrical outlet, turn on and
enjoy.
To clean needlepoint ionizer, rst turn o the unit and unplug it from
outlet. Remove the fan grill cover. The needle-point ionizer will be easy
to nd in front of the fan by looking for two piece of metallic wire. Take
a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol and clean any dust that may
have accumulated on the needle-points. While you have the front grill
cover o the unit, you may also clean the fan blade and grill itself. To
clean the fan blade, gently wipe it with a damp cloth. The grill cover may
be cleaned with warm water. Make sure the fan grill cover is completely
dry before replacing back onto unit. Clean the HEPA lter and prelter
with a can of compressed air. Then wash once in 90 days. Make sure to
fully dry it before reinstalling
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you suspect a problem with your unit, please check the following:
‣Make sure each plate is clean (see previous)
‣ Unit is plugged in properly and turned on
‣ Check the fuse to make sure it is installed properly and not burned out.
To replace fuse, push out the fuse holder cabinet gently towards you
from power cord socket. Remove old fuse, replace with spare. Use only
1amp 250 V (1.25” “fast-acting”).
‣ Wall outlet is active and properly grounded (important to avoid
potential shock)
‣Check plate alignment making sure each ceramic plate has been
inserted fully and correctly. Then check to make sure the meal wings
fully contact the plate on each side. If there is no contact, take out
plates and gently push the metal wings inward towards each other. Then
reinstall plate, ensuring good contact. If the fan is not operating, or after
cleaning the plates not buzzing sound is detected on the high setting of
the O3, please contact company for support.
CAUTION: Turn o the power switch before opening the back panel of
the unit to remove lters and ozone plate for maintenance or to replace
parts.

FAQS
Q: What does OxiLeaf™ Ultra do?
A: It treats the air in your home or oce by breaking down odor causing
pollutants, killing viruses, bacteria, mold and mildew, and removing
airborne contaminants (smoke, dust, pet dander, pollen) from your
breathing space.
Q: How does OxiLeaf™ Ultra treat the air?
A: OxiLeaf™ Ultra produces activated oxygen and negatively charged
ions, the same eective cleansing process nature uses outdoors to
purify the air.
Q: How does OxiLeaf™ Ultra work?
A: It is a six stage process:
OxiLeaf™ Ultra uses a needlepoint ionizer to drop dust, smoke and
other harmful particles out of the air we breathe. In our homes and
oces, there is a lack of negative ions and an abundance of positive
ions. The buildings we spend most of our time in block out the naturally
occurring negative ions. OxiLeaf™ Ultra recreates the natural balance
of positive to negative ions to signicantly reduce airborne particulates.
OxiLeaf™ Ultra uses electricity to split oxygen molecules (O2) into single
oxygen atoms (O) which attach loosely to other O2molecules to become
O3 (activated oxygen). This loosely attached oxygen atom is unstable
and seeks to bond with chemical compounds, odor causing pollutants,
viruses, and mold and mildew to oxidize them.
UV light with the TiO2 photocatalytic lter helps further to destroy
microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses.
The HEPA lter can capture microscopic particles below 0.3 microns,
such as radioactive dust in atomic plants. On the back of OxiLeaf™
Ultra, the HEPA lter also serves to protect the inner mechanism of the
unit from pollution entering and corroding it.
TiO2 photocatalytic lter can treat the airborne pollutants and is
revitalized when exposed to UV light.
Prelter can lter the dust and other particles in the air.
Q: How does nature produce ozone and ions?
A: Ozone is found everywhere outdoors. It is naturally created every day
during sunshine, thunderstorms, lightning and other natural events. The
fresh sweet smell after a thunderstorm is an abundance of ozone in the
air, rain, waterfalls and waves of the ocean, all creating negative ions.
Q: What is an ozone alert?
A: Ozone alerts in cities are a result of the high pollution levels of
hydrocarbons produced by the burning of fossil fuels. When ultraviolet
rays from the sun strike hydrocarbons, O3 is one of the by-products.
Ozone is nature’s sanitizer, and is produced by nature to combat air
pollution. The more polluted the city is, the more ozone will be in the air.
Q: How does it compare to air lters?
A: OxiLeaf™ Ultra does not rely on the air to actually pass through the
machine to be cleaned like typical air lters. Instead, the air purier
produces a.) activated oxygen, which reduces odors and kills mold,
viruses, bacteria, b.) negative ions that take out air particulates, and
includes c.) germicidal UV bulb with TiO2 photocatalytic lter for
cleansing.
Q: Is ozone safe?
A: Yes! But moderation is the key. Ozone in very high concentrations
is not necessary and can even be somewhat irritating. We recommend
you adjust the O3 properly. Before using your OxiLeaf™ Ultra, please
read the enclosed instructions carefully. Also refer to the enclosed Quick
Step Guide.
Q: Where should I place OxiLeaf™ Ultra in my home or oce?
A: OxiLeaf™ Ultra should be placed in the central location of your home,
preferably in a big, open area, such as a living room or dining room. It is
not designed for a single room use, however if there is a particular room/
area that needs to be sanitized, you can place the air purier there rst
for a few days until the problem has been corrected, and then return it
to recommended location. Place the unit at least 4 feet o the ground or
higher for best performance.
Q: How long will OxiLeaf™ Ultra last?
A: OxiLeaf™ Ultra is made of stainless steel and solid wood
construction. Because of the quality material and superior
craftsmanship that goes into each OxiLeaf™ Ultra, you will be able to
enjoy it for many years if maintained properly.
Q: Is it dicult to install?
A: No. Just install the O3plates (located in a small separate white
box), plug it in, and set for the area you will be treating (refer to Quick
Steps Guide and this user guide). For more rapid results, you may also
consider placing the unit up high, facing an air intake if your home
features an air conditioning/heating system. O3 will be evenly distributed.
