Hot Air Gun

•The product should only be connected to a 240V AC, 50Hz electrical outlet.
•Never leave the product unattended whilst it is switched on.
•If you have to leave the product unattended, even for a short while, always switch
it off.
•Keep the product out of children’s reach and do not allow children to use it.
•Never use near flammable materials or gasses.
•Inspect the mains lead regularly. Never use the product if the mains lead or plug
has been damaged in any way.
•Do not place the mains lead on or near any hot surface.
•Do not touch the product if your hands are moist or wet.
•Never use the heat gun as a hair dryer.
•Never direct the hot airflow towards people or animals.
•Never obstruct the hot airflow by blocking or covering the air outlet.
•Never touch the nozzle to any surface when using the gun or shortly after using.
•Keep the handle dry and clean, free from oil or grease.
•Always store the gun in an upright position.
•Never use the gun in the rain or n extremely damp days.
•Never poke anything down inside the hot air nozzle.
•Always allow the heat gun to cool down completely before storage.

Applications
Use only for the purposes listed below.
•Removing paint and varnish with hot air jet and scraper.
•Removing self-adhesive stickers and trim.
•Loosening rusted or over-tightened nuts and screws.
•Thawing frozen pipes, door locks, padlocks, etc.
Warning: do not attempt to thaw plastic pipes!
•Highlighting the natural wood grain of wooden surfaces before staining or varnishing.
•Softening old putty before removal and replacement.
•Drying out wet, damaged timber prior to filling with compound and refinishing.
•Shrinking PVC shrink-wrap sheeting.
•Waxing and de-waxing skis.
•Shrinking polyvinyl wire joints
•Soft soldering.

Operating Instructions
The variable heat control allows for low to high working temperature setting. Before plugging in, make
sure the power switch is in the off position.
When ready to work, set the switch to on and set the variable heat control to the desired temperature
settings. The heat gun will take approximately a minute to reach its operating temperature.
Paint and Varnish Removal
1. Turn on the gun and allow it to reach full heating power. Hold the nozzle 3-4” from the paint to be
removed. After a short time, the paint will soften and begin to blister. Do not overheat the paint,
as this will cause burning and make the paint more difficult to remove. When stripping paint
overhead, always use eye protection.
2. Begin scraping the paint, working from top to bottom. Scrape with smooth, even strokes; warming
the surface in front of the scraper by moving the gun from side to side. If the paint is warmed
properly, even thick layers can be removed in a single pass. Paint should come off it a strip equal in
width to the scraper blade.
3. Clean the edge of the scraper regularly to keep it clean and sharp to prevent paint from building up
on the blade. Scrape the paint as soon as it softens since it will quickly harden again.
4. Shaped or profiles surfaces can be stripped with a wire brush after softening with the hot air jet.
5. Cover all surfaces not to be heated with non-flammable material. Never concentrate the tool’s
heat on a window pane or other glass surface.
Caution: Lead paint fumes are very harmful. Always provide adequate ventilation while working
indoors!
Note:
•Never use the heat gun in combination with chemical strippers.
•Clean dry paint or varnish from the nozzle and scrapers after use. If the nozzle is not clean, there
may be danger of ignition.
•Use only in well ventilated areas. Peelings and residue from lead based paints are poisonous.
Care and Maintenance
Caution: Do not use mineral turpentine, paint thinner, gasoline or similar substances to clean the
heat gun!
•Always allow the heat gun to cool down completely before storage.
•Unplug the tool when not in use.
•Clean out any accumulated dust. Keep the air intake and outlet opening clean.
