OPERATION
Starting and Stopping the Lawn Mower
- Battery Assisted Start
1. Open the battery cover and
slide the battery and safety key
into the Power-X Panel, ensure
that both are inserted fully and
the battery clicks into place.
2. Hold the start/stop lever up
in the on position.
3. Start the engine by
pressing the Start button.
Release the Start button
immediately once the
engine has started.
NOTE: Pressing the Start button again while the engine is
running will damage the starting system.
4. To stop the engine simply

Self Propelled Rear Wheels
Hold the self propelled lever with the engine running and the
mower will start to move. Release the self propelled lever to stop
the moving mower.
Practice starting and
stopping before you use
the mower for the rst time
until you are familiar with
controlling the mower.
4. HOW TO MOW
• While using your lawn mower always wear substantial
footwear and long trousers.
• Make sure the lawn is clear of sticks, stones, wire and debris;
they could be thrown by the blade.
• Before using the lawn mower and after any impact, check for
signs of wear or damage and repair as necessary.
• Keep the underside of the mower housing clean and remove
grass build-up. Deposits not only make it more difcult to start
the mower; they decrease the quality of the cut and make it
harder for the equipment to bag the grass.
• Replace a worn or damaged blade together with the blade bolt
to preserve balance.
WARNING! DO NOT MOW IN POOR VISIBILITY
CONDITIONS, IN THE RAIN OR WHEN GRASS IS WET.
• Start mowing the edge
of the lawn and work
along making sure to
overlap each pass by a
few centimetres.
• When mowing long grass be sure to not overload the engine.
First cut with the highest cutting height and then to the
desired height. This will help reduce the load.
WARNING!: NEVER LET THE BATTERY COME IN CONTACT
WITH FUEL. DO NOT USE BATTERY IF COVERED IN FUEL.

1. Place the mower on a rm, level
surface. The mower must stand on
4 wheels as in mowing mode. Take
off the grass catcher and make
sure that the mulching adapter has
been removed.
2. Connect the water hose to the hose
connection.
3. Turn on the tap. Water will ow into
the inside of the mowing deck.
4. Start the engine.
5. Automatic cleaning will begin. The rotating blades will cast the water
against the mowing deck and therefore clean it from the inside.
A cleaning period of 1-2 minutes is enough when carried out regularly. To
remove dried grass residues we recommend carrying out several cleaning
cycles. Wait a few minutes between the cleaning cycles so that the dried
grass can soak and soften up.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!: BEFORE CLEANING YOUR PETROL
MOWER OR CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE
PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE ENGINE IS OFF
AND IS COOL. DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG TO
PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING.
Removing the Blade
WARNING! ALWAYS USE GLOVES WHEN
HANDLING THE BLADE. SHARP EDGES COULD
CAUSE INJURY.
3. To remove the blade bolt, hold
the blade rmly and with a socket
loosen the blade bolt by turning it
anti-clockwise.
NOTE: A piece of timber will assist
in holding the blade while removing or
tightening the blade bolt.
4. Remove the blade bolt and blade.
5. To t the blade, place the blade over the centre hole aligning the
different shaped lugs.
NOTE: The shape of the lugs prevent the blade from tting in the wrong
direction.
6. Then retighten the fastening bolt with the universal wrench. The
tightening torque should be approx. 40-45 Nm.
Replace the metal blade after 50 hours mowing or 2 years
whichever is sooner. If the blade is cracked or damaged replace it
with a new one.
Only replace the blade with a genuine Ozito replacement blade, as this
will ensure top performance and safety under all conditions.
1. Make sure that the grass catcher has been removed.
2. Empty the petrol tank with a petrol suction pump and run the engine
until the remaining fuel is fully consumed.
• Remove build up of grass in the
grass chute.
• Keep all safety devices, air vents
and the motor housing free of dirt
and dust as far as possible. Wipe
the equipment with a clean cloth or
blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
• Never clean the mower using a
high-pressure cleaner. The engine
must remain dry. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents such as cold
cleaners or petroleum ether.
Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage
TIMBER
The mowing deck is tted with a hose connection (suitable for
conventional garden hose couplings). The lawn mower should be cleaned
thoroughly every time after it has been used.
Checking the Oil Level
Place the lawn mower so that it stands level. Unscrew the oil cap/dipstick
by turning it counter-clockwise and wipe the dipstick. Reinsert the dipstick
into the ller opening as far as it will go but do not screw it in. Pull out the
dipstick, hold it horizontally and read off the oil level. The oil level must be
between the two marks min. and max. on the oil dipstick.
Changing the Oil
The engine oil is best changed when the engine has been switched off
but is still warm.
1. Make sure that the grass catcher has been removed.
2. Empty the petrol tank with a petrol suction pump and run the engine
until the remaining fuel is fully consumed.
3. Place an oil drip tray alongside the mower.
4. Open the oil cap/dipstick and tilt the mower 90° sideways.
5. The hot oil will ow through the open oil ller opening into the oil drip
tray.
6. After the old oil has drained out, set the mower upright again.
7. Fill in engine oil up to the top mark on the oil dip stick.
8. Do not screw in the oil dipstick to check the oil level – only insert it as
far as the thread.
9. Dispose of the used oil in accordance with applicable regulations.
Air Filter
Soiled air lters reduce the engine
output by supplying too little air to the
carburettor. If the air contains a lot of
dust, the air lter must be checked
more frequently.
Never clean the air lter with petrol or
inammable solvents. Clean the air
lter only with compressed air or by
tapping it.
Replacing the Spark Plug
When the petrol mower will not start and everything has been checked, it
is possible that the spark plug will need replacing. The spark plug is not
covered under warranty.
To replace the spark plug:
1. Pull the spark plug lead off the end
of the spark plug.
2. Loosen (anti-clockwise) the spark
plug using the larger socket side of
the socket wrench provided.
3. Remove the spark plug and
replace with a new one, as
specied. Spark plug: TORCH
F6RTC or equivalent.
4. Secure the spark plug in position
by tightening (clockwise) the spark
plug using the socket wrench
provided.
5. Fix the spark plug lead back to the end of the spark plug ensuring it
clicks into place.
