Unit Installation

1. Please confirm whether your DASH is suitable for the MP-800. If not,
please buy the right DASH KIT for your car or modify your DASH KIT.
2. Different car models need different accessories( DASH KIT /
aftermarket harness adapter/antenna adapter), you can find the correct
aftermarket accessories by searching the year, make, and model of your
vehicle on Amazon or Google.
3. Install the brackets after connecting the wiring harness and antenna.
a. Put the 2 brackets to the left and right side of the unit;
b. Use screws to fix the brackets to the unit.
c. Different car models have different brackets, please use the original car
bracket/screw or buy suitable the bracket /screw for your car.

Aftermarket wiring
harness adapter
For example:
Step1: Purchase aftermarket wiring harness adapter
Wire Connection
NOTE: Please refer to the definition of your actual aftermarket
wiring harness adapter you purchased.
You should buy an aftermarket wiring harness adapter for your car.
The aftermarket wiring harness adapter is specifically designed to fit
your vehicle's factory wiring harness.
NOTE: different car model has different aftermarket wiring
harness adapter.
General aftermarket wiring harness adapter definition

▶Plug your aftermarket wiring harness adapter into your vehicle's
factory wiring harness.
▶Plug MP-800 harness into the back of MP-800 car stereo.
MP-800 harness
▶Match the wires on your aftermarket wiring harness adapter and the
wires on MP-800 harness according to the definition.
▶Twist matching wires together and cover the splice and unused bare
wires with electrical tape to avoid short circuits.

MP-800 harness

Step4: Plug in the radio antenna.
Necessary conditions for MP-800 car stereo works properly :
1. The Yellow wire (+12V Memory Backup ) of the MP-800 harness
has 12V output.
2. The Red wire (+12V Ignition Switch) of the MP-800 harness has
12V output when the car key is on.
3. The Black wire (Ground wire) of the MP-800 harness is valid.
Q: It doesn't work after installation.
Reason 1: You likely bought the wrong aftermarket wiring harness
adapter that does not match your vehicle's factory wiring harness.
Solution:
Reconnect the wires of your aftermarket wiring harness adapter to the
MP-800 harness. Please scan the QR code and find the video named
"How to check if the wiring harness is correctly connected ".
Step5: Test whether MP-800 car stereo works properly

Reason 2: You likely have a loose connection.
Solution:
Make sure that your vehicle's factory wiring harness and aftermarket
wiring harness adapter are securely attached. Ensure that the
MP-800 car stereo plug is properly and tightly plugged into the
back of the MP-800 stereo.
Reason 3: The MP-800 was damaged in transit.
Solution:
Please scan the QR code and find the video named
"How to test if the car stereo works before installing ".

How to set steering wheel control buttons
1.Find your steering wheel control wire of the original vehicle(KEY1/KEY2/
ground wire)
2.KEY1 connecting brown wire, KEY2 connecting brown black wire, KEY
GND the grounding wire.(Please refer to the actual harness)

NOTE:
MP-800 is designed to be connected to your vehicle' steering wheel
control wire directly. (If you connect it to your steering wheel control
box, it may not be able to support its protocol.)
