How to Operate the Unit
Raise the base unit antenna for best reception.

•When the RECHARGE indicator flashes or the unit beeps intermittently,
recharge the battery.
•Clean the handset and the base unit charge contacts with a soft dry cloth
once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust or
high humidity. If not, the battery may not charge properly.
To install the belt clip or the headset, see pages 12 and 13 in the Operating
Instructions.
Selecting the Dialing Mode
You can program the dialing mode by using the handset near the base unit.
Your phone comes from the factory set to TONE. If you cannot dial, set to
PULSE. The TALK and SP-PHONE indicator lights must be off before
programming.

•If a power failure occurs, the mode will return to the preset (TONE). Reprogram

Dial a telephone
number. To hang up, press ITALKJ or place the handset on
the base unit.
•If noise interferes with your conversation, press LQ!!J to select a clearer channel
or move closer to the base unit.
•To switch a call from the handset to the speakerphone, press' B~MOTE_~P 1. To
hang up, press ISP-PHONE .1 or I REMOTE SP 1.
•Like a standard telephone, you can dial with the base unit keypad after pressing
ITALK!.

Speed Dialer-------------
You can store up to 15 phone numbers; 1O in the handset and 5 in the base unit.
The dialing buttons function as memory stations.
Numbers stored in the handset cannot be dialed with the base unit, and
vice versa.
To store a phone number in the handset
The TALK indicator light must be off before programming.
