“EB” on the packaging indicates the United King dom.
Operations in th ese instructions are des cribed
mainly using the re mote control, but you can per form
the operations on the main unit if the controls are
the same.
Your unit may not look exactly the same as illustrated.

Battery
• Do not break o pen or short-circuit the battery.
• Do not charge the alkaline or man ganese battery.
• Do not use the batter y if the cover has peeled off.
• Do not heat or expose to flame.
• Do not leave the batter y(ies) in a car exposed to
direct sunlight for a long period of time with door an d
windows closed.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the remote
control for a long period of time. Keep in a cool, dark
area.
• Danger of explosion if batter y is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only with the type re commended by the
manufacturer.
• When disposing the batteries, please contac t your local
authorities or dealer and ask for the correct method of
disposal.

Preparing the remote control
R6/ LR6, AA ( not included)
Use alkaline or manganese bat teries.
Insert s o the poles (+ and –) match those in the remote
control.
Aim at the remote control signal s ensor.
Distance: With in approximately 7 m
Angle: A pproximately 20° up and down, 30° left and right
Placement of speakers
Speakers are designed identically s o that no lef t or right
channel orientation is necessary.
You cannot take the front net of f the speakers.
Use only th e supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damag e the unit and sound
quality will be negatively af fected.
• Keep your speakers at least 10 mm away from the
system for proper ventilation.
• These speakers do not have magnetic shield ing. Do
not put them near TVs, PCs or other equipment eas ily
influenced by magnetism.
• You can damage your speakers and shorten their
useful life i f you play sound at high levels over
extende d period s.
• Reduce the volume in the following cases to avoid
damage.
– When playing distorted s ound.
– When adjusting the sound quality.
Caution
• Use the sp eakers only with the recommende d
system. Failure to do so can damage the
amplifier and speakers, and can cause fire.
Consult a qualifie d servi ce person if damage
occurs or if a sudden change in performance is
apparent.
• Do not attach these speakers to walls or
ceilings.

Caution for AC mains lead
For the Unite d Kingdom
For your safety, please read the following text carefully.
This appliance is supplie d with a moulded three pin
mains plug for your safety and convenience.
A 5-ampere fuse is fitted in this plug.
Should the fuse need to be replaced please ensure that
the replacement fu se has a rating of 5-ampere and that it
is approved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362.
Check for the ASTA mark or the BSI mark on the
body of the fuse.
If the plug contains a removable fu se cover you must
ensure that it is refitted when the fuse is rep laced.
If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until
a replacement cover is obtaine d.
A replace ment fuse c over can be purchased from your
local dealer.
Before use
Remove the connector cover.
How to replace the fuse
The location of the fuse differ according to the t ype of AC
mains plug (figures A and B). C onfirm the AC mains plug
fitted and follow the instructions below.
Illustrations may di ffer from actual AC mains plug.
1. Open the fuse cover with a screwdriver.
