1Introduction
Thank you for purchasing of USB DVI/VGA KVM Extender with Audio.
This KVM extender supports both of VGA and DVI video input that
resolution up to FULL HD 1080P. The extension distance of the signal of
Video / Audio / IR / Keyboard & Mouse is up to 150 meters over CAT5e/6,
and moreover, for longer distances extending, consecutively added network
switch for an additional 150 meters as many times as you want. No software
is required and furthermore the installation and operation are easily more
than expected. This product, USB DVI/VGA KVM Extender with Audio,
delivers perfect performance and value added to satisfy your need.
The USB DVI/VGA KVM Extender with Audio is composed of a local
unit (transmitter) and a remote unit (receiver). The local unit connects
directly to the computer (or a KVM switch system). The user console
(keyboard, mouse and DVI monitor) attaches to the remote unit. The remote
and local units extend keyboard, mouse, IR, audio and video signal along
with the Cat5e/6 cable. Local unit offers local monitor output according to
the computer (or a KVM switch system) video input.
1.1 Features
1 Extends the Video / Audio / IR / Keyboard and Mouse signal up to 150 meters using
Cat5e/6 cable in terms of peer to peer.
2 Longer distances extending by adding network switch for an additional 150 meters
as many times as you want.
3 Console operation optional - Control your system from both of the local and remote
units or local unit only by front button switch.
4 Push button at local unit to enable/disable remote console.
5 Supports keyboard/mouse connection of USB interface to computer at local side.
6 Supports either VGA or DVI video input - Up to resolution 1920x1080@ 60Hz.
7 Local unit supports VGA or DVI interface monitor according to video input.
8 Remote unit supports DVI-D interface monitor.
9 DDC, DDC2B support.

2Installation
2.1 System Requirements
Local Console
1 A VGA or DVI interface monitor according to video input
2 USB Keyboard/Mouse.
3 IR blaster (optional)
Precaution:
Local Console VGA video signal input Monitor Supported
Note: The converter must be used connecting to both of Local DVI-IN and DVI-OUT in
synchronization in case of the VGA video input comes into Local DVI ports.
Remote Console
1. A DVI interface monitor.

Cables
1 CAT5e/CAT6 cable to connect remote and local unit, the supported
maximum length of this cable is 150 meters with point to point.
Reset Switch :
Press Reset switch when you want to reset the system. This switch must be
pushed with a thin object like the end of a paper clip, or a ball point pen.

2.3 Hardware Installation
1 Power off all of devices.
2 Connects your monitor, USB keyboard/mouse to the local unit Transmitter if you
want to control your system at local console possibly.
3 Connects your monitor, USB keyboard/mouse to the remote unit Receiver if you
want to control your system at remote console possibly.
4Connects all audio cable to computer,/KVM, speaker and micphone if necessary.
5Connects IR receiver to Remote Receiver and IR blaster to Local Transmitter if
necessary.
6 Connect remote and local unit by using CAT.5e/CAT.6 cable, the supported
maximum cable length is 150 meters with point to point.
7 Connects the 5V power supply to power on the local unit Transmitter.
8 Connects the 5V power supply to power on the remote unit Receiver.
9 Connects video and USB keyboard/mouse of local unit Transmitter and
computer/KVM.
10 Turn on your computer if it was turned off.

3Operations
3.1 Active Console Selection by Front Push Button
You can press front push button on local unit Transmitter (TX) to switch the active
console of operation, and there are two types of active console configurations:
1. TX Active
You can operate the system only from local unit Transmitter (TX).
2. TX/RX Active
You can operate the system Both of local unit Transmitter (TX) and remote
unit Receiver (RX) at same time.
The default configuration is “Both Console” mode, including both of local and
remote consoles activating. The active console can be shown via of LED indicator,
please refer the description of next sections
3.2 LED Indicators
TX/RX Active Indicator (RED)
Indicates you can control your system from both of the local and remote console.
TX Active Indicator (RED)
Indicates you can control your system from local console only.
Power Indicator (RED)
Indicates the KVM unit is power on.
Link Indicator (GREEN)
Indicates link connection established.

3.1 Sun Microsystems Function Key Emulation:
There are 16 special functions on the Sun Micro system keyboard, the KVM Switch can emulate
these function keys. Here is the mapping table for Sun Micro function key emulation. To active these
emulation, you have to press the LEFT Window KEY first (this key usually is located between the
left [Ctrl] and left [Alt]), then choice the second relative key.
