Welcome!
Congratulations on your purchase of this
Pathos Logos integrated stereo amplifier.
The Logos is a two-in-one machine that
combines pre- and power amplification
stages in a common chassis. The electric
network has been laid-out in a feedback-
free 'natural' way according to the funda-
mental principles of the Pathos philosophy.
The pre-amplification stage is entirely tube-
based, balanced, operates in pure class A
and is powered by a dedicated stabilised
power supply. The digital 100-step volume
control system is 100% resistive thanks to
an integrated network of high precision,
laser-trimmed resistors that guarantee
perfect inter-channel balance. The input
selector is operated through high-tech
miniaturised relays, originally developed for
very high frequency telecommunication
applications.
The output stage is true dual-mono and
outfitted with oversized transformers and
power supplies to deliver high current into
even demanding loads. This stage ensures
great energy for superior dynamics and
punch, without affecting the warmth,
naturalness and musicality provided by the
tube stage.
Finally, flexibility is provided for with 5 RCA
and 2 balanced XLR input pairs, a two-digit
LC display and fully remote controlled
functions over volume, mute and input
selection.
Main specifications:
Output power: 110W RMS @ 8 Ohm
220W RMS @ 4 Ohm
Frequency response: 2Hz-200KHz ±0,5dB
THD: <0.05%
S/N ratio: >90dB
Input impedance: 100 KOhm

The amplifier must be put in a way that the current cable can be
easily accessible and the plug must have ground protection.
The amplifier must have a correct ventilation, it cannot be covered
with objects such as newspapers, towels, curtains, etc.
Minimum space between amplifier and objects are:
in height 30 cm, on sides 20 cm, in front 10 cm, behind 5 cm
Water must not be sprayed on or near the amplifier. No objects
containing liquids, such as vases, must be put on or close to the
amp.
Turning off the switch doesn't remove corrent from the amp. To
unconnect amplifier you have to remove the plug.
Warning.

Cleaning
Before cleaning your unit, always make sure
the unit is off and the power cord is dis-
connected from the AC wall outlet. When
cleaning your Logos, the care for the
exterior parts should be limited to wiping
with a soft, dry cloth. Always avoid using
solvents or alcohol-based cleaners.
Remote control batteries
Your remote control is provided with two
batteries type 1.5 V - MICRO.
To install or replace batteries, remove the
back cover of the remote control by

About your unit
Packaging
When unpacking your Logos, always handle
it with care. Store all packaging in a dry
place for future shipments. In case of
transport or shipment, the original packaging
will properly prevent transit damages.
Placing
Place your Logos on a firm level surface
away from excessive dirt or moisture.
As to assure long, trouble free operation,
please provide reasonable air flow to permit
heat exchange. Your Logos should be
situated so that its location does not
interfere with its proper ventilation.
The unit should be situated away from heat
sources as radiators, heat registers, stoves
or other appliances that produce heat. The
unit should not be used near water --- e.g.
near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink,
laundry tub, swimming pool.
Vacuum Tubes
Your Logos is provided with two selected
tubes type 6922 for the input stage. In the
case you need to replace vacuum tubes,
always use same type tubes.
Note: it is not recommend to leave your
Logos switched on 24 hours a day. This
custom of some audiophiles does not
induce benefits in Logos' musical
performances and will shorten tubes' life.
Warm-up
For superior sonic performances, a warm-up
period of around twenty minutes is recom-
mended every time the Logos is used.

Your Logos has no wording printed on the
front panel and on the remote control. These
are designer's choices, in order not to spoil
the style of the Logos. Controls are designed
to be intuitive, so that users become familiar
with all the controls very quickly.
To switch the unit on, press the button 1.
As soon as the unit is turned on, the LCD 4
indicates the letter P for around 60 seconds;
after that time, the unit is working and the
LCD 4 displays the volume control.
To switch the unit off, press the button 1.
The volume can be operated both by turning
the dial 3 and via the remote control. By
pressing the button 6, the volume increases;
by pressing the button 7, the volume de-
creases. The volume level is indicated by
the LCD 4 with two digits, from 0 to 99.
When using the remote control, always
direct it towards the IR sensor 5.
Inputs can be selected both by pressing the
button 2 on the front panel or by pressing
the button 9 on the remote control. By repe-
titely pressing one of the above-mentioned
buttons, the various inputs are selected as
indicated on the LCD 4 (A1 to A7)
Mute function can be operated by pressing
the button 8 on the remote control. When in
mute mode, the LCD 4 displays --.
Your Logos is provided with a liquid crystal
display to indicate various functions, as
described below. The brightness of the LCD
increases each time one control function is
operated, and automatically decreases after
around 5 seconds from the last operation.
Please read carefully the following safety
instructions, which have been included in
compliance with international safety

CAUTION: When connecting your Logos to
other components, make sure the unit is off.
NOTE: Pathos Acoustics recommends to
use only high quality interconnect and
power cables. Using not appropriate cables
can prevent your amplifier, your sources and
your loudspeakers from delivering their full
potential. Make sure all cable terminations
are of high quality, free from shorts or cold
solder joints.
The wiring to and from the amplifier should
be arranged in a neat way. It is advisable to
separate AC cords form signal and speakers
cables, as to avoid hums and noise from
being introduced into your system.
All input and output connectors are clearly
marked in the back panel to indicate use.
The following are the available inputs and
outputs:
- One RCA Tape output terminals (L, R)
- One RCA Pre output terminal (L, R)
- Five RCA line input terminals (L, R)
- Two balanced line input terminals (L, R)
- Right channel speaker terminals (+ -)
- Left channel speaker terminals (+ -)
- AC Power Socket
All right channel inputs and ouputs are
marked with the letter R; left channel inputs
and outputs are marked with the letter L.
Positive speaker connectors are marked
with the symbol +; negatives are marked
All input connectors are clearly indicated in
the back panel of your Logos.
Tape out terminals and input terminals from
3 to 7 utilize unbalanced RCA connectors.
The inputs marked Aux 1 and Aux 2 utilize
balanced 3-pin XLR connectors. When
using very long cables, the use of balanced
connectors is highly recommended, for both
electrical and sonic reasons, in order to
reduce noise and not incur significant signal
loss.
The pin assignment for the XLR terminals is
(as indicated in the back panel):- pin 1
shield (ground) - pin 2 non inverting input
(hot or +)- pin 3 inverting input (-)
Speaker out terminals are clearly indicated
in the back panel of your Logos.
Positive output terminals are marked with
red colour.
Left channel terminals are located at your
left and marked with the letter L; right
channel terminals are located at your right
and marked with the letter R.
