totestknotbeforethrowingrakeintowater!

OperatingInstructions
TheWeedSheariseasytooperatebutmustbeusedproperlyforasafeandeffectivemethodof
controllingunderwaterweeds.UsetheWeedShearwheneverweedsbecomeaproblem.TheWeed
Shearwillcutapaththroughyourweedsapproximately48”wide.
Alwaysusecautionbecausethebladesaresharp.
Step1.Testthestrengthoftheknotthatwasmadeduringassembly.SeeFigure2.
Step2.Withtheropesecurelyinyourhandortiedtoasolidsurface.Throwtherakeoutintothe
water.(Ifyouareonadock,tietheropetoapostsoyoudon’tthrowtoofar).
Step2.Usetheropetopullitbackin.Useashorthardjerkingmotion.
Step3.Inspect.Ifthecuttingedgescomesbackwithanabundanceofweedsonit,youmayneedto
sharpenthecuttingblade.Seetheinstructionsbelow.



Cutweedsonadaywhenthewindisblowingtowardstheshore.Thiswillmakepickingthemupeasier.
TheWeedShearisdesignedforcuttingunderwatervegetation.Caremustbetakenintheassembly,
operation,andusageoftheWeedShear.Neitherthemanufacturernorthesellerassumesany
responsibilityforthemisuseoftheWeedShear.
TheWeedShearisnotdesignedtocutheavycattails,bulrushesorhighlyfibrousplants.Doingsomay
bendordamagetheblades.Followallapplicablelawsrelatedtocuttingandharvestingunderwater
vegetation.

2. Donotusewhenswimmersarepresent.
3. Avoidareaswithunderwaterstructures.
4. Checkallbolts,connectionsandropesbeforeuse.
5. Whennotinusestoreinasafelocationoutofthereachofchildren.
6. Donotplaceorusenearelectricalcordsorcables.

BladeSharpening
1. StandtheassembledWeedShearup.Bladesshouldbedownwardandhandlepointingup.

2. RestthehandleoftheWeedShearagainstabuildingorwall.
3. KneelorsitinfrontoftheWeedShearinastableposition.Donotsharpenwhilestandingor
leaningoverthecuttingedge.
4. Holdthesharpenerwiththethumbrestingontheflaredridge.Wearleatherglovestoprotect
yourhandsifyouslipwhilesharpening.
5. Runthesharpenerdownthecuttingedgeinfourtosixstrokesusinglesspressureastheedge
getssharper.
6. Tosharpentheoppositecuttingedge,eitherswitchhandsorturntheWeedSheararoundso
theoppositeedgeisinpositionforsharpening.

Keepoutofreachofchildren.Donotusewithchildreninimmediatearea.





WeedShearismanufacturedbyPaumcoProducts,Inc.

PaumcoProducts,Inc.warrantstotheoriginalconsumer‐purchaserthatthisproductshallbefreefrom
defectsinworkmanshipandmaterialsundernormalandreasonableuseandcorrectassemblyfora
periodofone(1)yearfromdateoforiginalpurchase.

PaumcoProductswill,atitsoption,refinishorreplaceanyproductorpartfoundtobedefectiveduring
thewarrantyperiod.PaumcoProductsmayrequireyoutoreturnthepart(s)claimedtobedefective,
foritsinspection,freightorpostageprepaid.

PaumcoProductsrequiresproofofpurchaseonallwarrantyclaims.

Thiswarrantydoesnotincludethecostofanyinconvenienceorpropertydamageduetofailureofthe
productanddoesnotcoverdamageduetomisuse,abuse,accident,damagearisingoutof
transportationoftheproduct,ordamageincurredthroughcommercialuseoftheproduct.Thisexpress
warrantyisthesolewarrantygivenbyPaumcoProducts.PaumcoProducts’maximumliability,inany
