Technical information
Dimensions, parameters
MultiTalent Basic is part of a modularly buildable scoring machine system, designed
into an extruded aluminum housing case with a thermoplastic polyester front panel,
which conforms to European Union standards in accordance with the Machinery
Safety Directive, the EU Directive mandating the CE marking and applicable
regulations.
Dimensions
Width x height x depth: 220 x 160x 55mm
Weight: 900 grams, without the built-in batteries
1,200 grams with the built-in batteries
POWER SUPPLY
Required voltage: 12 V DC (necessary battery accessory)
Electricity consumption: average 0.2A, maximum 0.5A for 12VDC input voltage.
Warning: if the MultiTalent Basic is operated from another power source, which
is connected to the electric power network, make sure that the power supply has
double insulation and will not be short-circuited.
Also make sure that the electric power network has an automatic residual-
current device (RCD), with a current capacity of 30 mA.
OPERATING FROM A BATTERY
The MultiTalent Basic can also be ordered with built-in Lithium-ion batteries. The
internal battery set has a capacity of 7.2V/4,400 mAh. If you purchase the batteries for
the device later, please always use a specialized service for installation. The device
automatically switches off if the battery voltage drops to 6 V.

If the battery voltage is reduced to 6.3, on the front panel of the device the power LED
will flash, showing that recharge is necessary. In the case of use with the built-in
batteries without side panels and wall lamps, the expectable operational time is 100
hours from a completely charged condition till the automatic switch off.
Any kind of 12 V lead battery is also suitable for the operation of MultiTalent Basic
with the correct power source connection. The higher the ampere-hour capacity of the
battery is, the longer its lifespan will be. In case of the use of an external battery, the
device will also protect itself from low voltage and it will switch off as described
above.
IMPORTANT: please always charge the batteries before the first use
CHARGING AN EXTERNAL RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
The built-in Lithium-ion batteries can be charged with the provided power source.
Connect the power source to the device as well as to the 110-230 V electric power
network. The device can be operated normally even during the battery charging cycle.
Accordingly, every time we use the device from the power source, the batteries will be
charging. The batteries that have been depleted to the point where the device switches
off can be recharged from the electric power network in 6 hours. The white LED
located on the control keyboard on the top of the device shows the charging status.
During charging operation the LED is ON with intense light. When the charging status
of the batteries is on maximum, the device switches to drip charging and this is shown
by the LED glowing with very dim light.
EXTERNAL, RECHARGEABLE BATTERY 12 V/6-7 Ah
It has its own connectors, thus it can be connected directly to the MultiTalent Basic as
well as the battery charger.
The average lifespan of a properly used lead battery is 5 years. We recommend
replacing the battery when it begins to be depleted very fast.
It is recommended to recharge the battery after each use, but at least once in every half
year if the device is not in use.
Use the proper battery charger (Article no. 829)
