Preliminaries
This product is built to shred paper. It is not built to take staples, credit cards, paper
clips, continuous forms, adhesive labels, transparencies, newspaper, cardboard or any
plastic. Using it for these purposes is likely to cause irreparable damage.

*A4 (70g) paper at 230v, 0.6Amps; heavier paper, humidity or other than rated voltage may reduce capacity.
Operation
Operating Switch must be in the AUTO position to operate the shredder. Insert waste bag for
easy disposal.
What to do if...
Paper jam: Set to OFF, remove shredder head and empty the bin. Place back the shredder head
and follow any or all of the below procedures.
Continuous Operation:
2 minutes maximum
NOTE: Shredder rungs briey
after each pass to clear
entry. Continuous
operation beyond 2
minutes will trigger
60 minutes cool down
period.

Keep away from children and pets. Keep hands away from paper entry. Always unplug or
set safety lock when not in use.
Keep foreign objects - gloves, jewelry, clothing, hair, etc. away from shredder operatings. If
object enters top opening, switch to REV to back out object.
Never use aerosol, petroleum based or other ammable products on or near shredder. Do
not use canned air on shredder.
Do not use if damaged or defective.
Do not open shredder head: Danger of electric shock.
Do not place the shredder near or over heat or water source.
Maximum 5 sheets per pass to avoid jams.
Avoid touching exposed blades under the Stripcut shredder head.
The mains socket should be installed near the shredder and should be easily accessible.
Always turn o and unplug the shredder when not in use.
Unplug the shredder before emptying the bin.

Important Safety Instructions - Read Before Using!
Shredder doesn’t start:
Make sure the Shredder head is on the bin correctly.
Wait 60 minutes for the motor to cool down.
Remove and empty the bin.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The bin should be emptied regularly. Never let the bin become overfull with paper, other-
wise the opreation of the shredder may be aected.
Before emptying the bin, always unplug the shredder and place it in a safe place.
If the bin gets soiled, it can be washed in water, rinsed and dried.
The shredder housing can be cleaned with a cloth very lightly dampened with a mild soap
and water solution after the unit has been switched o and unplugged from the mains. Do
not reconnect the shredder until it has dried fully.
NEVER allow water solution or liquids to penetrate the shredder.
Regular oiling of the shredder is also necessary to ensure proper performance. If you are
running the shredder at or near capacity, we recommend oiling it monthly. Use non-aero-
sol vegetable-based oil in a long nozzle container.
Do not use ammable synthetic oil, petroleum-based products or aerosol lubricants of any
kind in or near the shredder at any time.
