PRECAUTIONS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING
Please keep this manual in a safe and handy place for future reference.
WARNING
Always follow the basic precautions listed below to avoid the possibility of serious injury or
even death from electrical shock, short-circuiting, damages, fire or other hazards. These
precautions include, but are not limited to, the following:
CAUTION
Always follow the basic precautions listed below to avoid the possibility of physical injury to
you or others, or damage to the instrument or other property. These precautions include, but
are not limited to, the following:
Water warningPower supply/AC power adaptor
*Do not place the power cord near heat sources such
as heaters or radiators. Also, do not excessively bend or
otherwise damage the cord, or place heavy objects on
it.
*Only use the voltage specified as correct for the
instrument. The required voltage is printed on the name
plate of the instrument.
* Use the specified adaptor (page 7) only. Using the
wrong adaptor can result in damage to the instrument or
overheating.
* Check the electric plug periodically and remove any
dirt or dust which may have accumulated on it.
Do not open
* This instrument contains no user-serviceable parts.
Do not open the instrument or attempt to disassemble or
modify the internal components in any way. If it should
appear to be malfunctioning, discontinue use
immediately and have it inspected by qualied Yamaha
service personnel.
* Do not expose the instrument to rain, use it near water
or in damp or wet conditions,place on it any containers
(such as vases, bottles or glasses) containing liquids which
might spill into any openings. If any liquid such as water
seeps into the instrument, turn o the power immediately
and unplug the power cord from the AC outlet. Then
have the instrument inspected by qualied our service
personnel.
*Never insert or remove an electric plug with wet hands.
Fire warning
If you notice any abnormality
* Do not put burning items, such as candles, on the
unit. A burning item may fall over and cause a re.
*When one of the following problems occur,immediately
turn o the power switch and disconnect the electric
plug from the outlet. Then have the device inspected by
our service personnel.
- The power cord or plug becomes frayed or damaged.
- It emits unusual smells or smoke.
- Some object has been dropped into the instrument.
- There is a sudden loss of sound during use of the
instrument.
Power supply/AC power adaptor
* Do not connect the instrument to an electrical outlet
using a multiple-connector.Doing so can result in lower
sound quality, or possibly cause overheating in the
outlet.
* When removing the electric plug from the instrument
or an outlet, always hold the plug itself and not the cord.
Pulling by the cord can damage it.
* Remove the electric plug from the outlet when the
instrument is not to be used for extended periods of
time, or during electrical storms.
Location
*Do not place the instrument in an unstable position
where it might accidentally fall over.
* When transporting or moving the instrument, always
use two or more people.Attempting to lift the instrument
by yourself may damage your back, result in other
injury, or cause damage to the instrument itself.
* Before moving the instrument, remove all connected
cables, to prevent damage to the cables or injury to
anyone who might trip over them.

* Read carefully the attached documentation
explaining the assembly process. Failure to assemble
the instrument in the proper sequence might result in
damage to the instrument or even injury.
*When setting up the product, make sure that the AC
outlet you are using is easily accessible. If some trouble
or malfunction occurs, immediately turn o the power
switch and disconnect the plug from the outlet. Even
when the power switch is turned o, electricity is still
owing to the product at the minimum level. When you
are not using the product for a long time, make sure to
unplug the power cord from the wall AC outlet.
* Use only the stand specied for the instrument.
When attaching the stand or rack,use the provided
screws only. Failure to do so could cause damage to the
internal components or result in the instrument falling
over.
* Do not use the instrument/device or headphones for
a long period of time at a high or uncomfortable volume
level, since this can cause permanent hearing loss. If
you experience any hearing loss or ringing in the ears,
consult a physician.
Connections
* Before connecting the instrument to other electronic
components, turn o the power for all components.
Before turning the power on or o for all components,
set all volume levels to minimum.
* Be sure to set the volumes of all components at their
minimum levels and gradually raise the volume controls
while playing the instrument to set the desired listening
level.
Handling caution
* Do not insert a nger or hand in any gaps on the key
cover or instrument. Also take care that the key cover
does not pinch your nger.
* Never insert or drop paper, metallic, or other objects
into the gaps on the key cover,panel or keyboard. This
could cause physical injury to you or others, damage to
the instrument or other property, or operational failure.
* Do not rest your weight on, or place heavy objects on
the instrument, and do not use excessive force on the
buttons, switches or connectors.
We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by improper use or modications to the instrument, or data that is lost or destroyed.
Using the bench (If included)
* Do not place the bench in an unstable position where
it might accidentally fall over.
* Do not play carelessly with or stand on the bench.
Using it as a tool or stepladder or for any other purpose
might result in accident or injury.
* Only one person should sit on the bench at a time, in
order to prevent the possibility of accident or injury.
* If the bench screws become loose due to extensive
long-term use, tighten them periodically using the
included tool.
* Keep special watch over any small children so that
they don’t fall o the rear of the bench.Since the bench
does not have a backrest, unsupervised use may result
in accident or in jury.
NOTICE
To avoid the possibility of malfunction/ damage to the product, damage to data, or damage to other property, follow
the notices below.
■ Handling and Maintenance
* Do not use the instrument in the vicinity of a TV, radio, stereo equipment, mobile phone, or other electric devices.
Otherwise, the instrument, TV, or radio may generate noise. When you use the instrument along with the
application on your iPhone/iPad, we recommend that you set “Airplane Mode” to “ON” on your iPhone/iPad in order
to avoid noise caused by communication.
* Do not expose the instrument to excessive dust or vibrations, or extreme cold or heat (such as in direct sunlight,
near a heater, or in a car during the day) to prevent the possibility of panel disguration, damage to the internal
components or unstable operation. (Veried operating temperature range: 5° – 40°C, or 41° – 104°F.)
* Do not place vinyl, plastic or rubber objects on the instrument, since this might discolor the panel or keyboard.
* In the case of a model with a polished nish, bumping the surface of the instrument with metal, porcelain, or
other hard objects can cause the nish to crack or peel. Use caution.
* During extreme changes in temperature or humidity, condensation may occur and water may collect on the
surface of the instrument. If water is left, the wooden parts may absorb the water and be damaged. Make sure to
wipe any water o immediately with a soft cloth.

1.Connect the plugs of the AC power adapter in the order shown in the illustration.
Use the specied adapter only. The used of other adapters may result in irreparable damage to both the
adapter and the instrument.
Remove the AC plug from the AC outlet when the instrument is not to be used for extended periods of
time, or during electrical storms.
NOTE:Follow this procedure in reverse order when disconnecting the power adapter.
CAUTION
WARNING
Adjust the [Volume] pushing button on the control panel to set the volume of the
instrument. When you push right the volume will be increased,On the contrary
the volume will be turned down.
Warning: Do not master excessive volume to avoid any harm to your
hearing,(Especially when wearing headphone)
Since the instrument is equipped with two sets of standard
stereo headphones jack at the lower left, One is mute
interface which automatically shuts o the speakers when
using it. The other one is headphone interface that the
headphone and speaker sound in the same time. You can
use the master volume knob to adjust the sound level.
3. The instrument will turns the power o automatically if the instrument is not operated for
approximately 30 minutes.
2. Even when the [ ](O/On)switch is on standby, electricity is still owing to the instrument at a
minimum level. Please remove the AC plug from the wall AC outlet if the instrument will not be used for
a period of time.
1. Press the [ ]button for a second. The sound will be default tone.
1.Press[ ]button, the panel will be in locked mode, only the unlock key can be used. The sound of
counterclockwise rotation will be turned down.
2.Press[ ]button can unlock the panel.
AC power adapter AC power plug
Press the [GRAND PIANO] button on the panel to enable
you return to initial status. Default preset is Grand Piano.

Sounds
Record
Metronome
This instrument can record music, including record the accompany in the piano. Operation as follows:
Record:
1.Press [RECORD] button, indicated light is on, and default metronome will be on and start to record;
Press [METRONOME] button if you need to turn o the metronome.
2.After recording, Press [RECORD] button, indicated light is o, log out the record function.
Play:
1.Press [PLAY/STOP] button, indicated light is on, The portable piano will play the audio you recorded.
2.After playing, log out the playing function automatically and the indicated light turns o.
1、Press the [METRONOME] button on the panel to enable your metronome. The button LED-light will
start ashing. The default metronome tempo is 120 BPM.
2、By pressing the [METRONOME] button for more than 2 seconds, the piano will enter the metronome
tempo settings.
3、Set the metronome tempo by pressing the corresponding key in the keyboard in a range from 20 to
280 BPM.
4、Press the [METRONOME] button to exit the metronomer settings
Demo song play \ Teaching function
1. Playing demo song
Play all the demo songs:
Press [DATA/TEMPO-] and [DATA/TEMPO+] button in the same time, play the demo
songs round, Press the buttons again synchronously to stop the demo song.
Select the demo song to play:
Press [DATA/TEMPO] +/- button to select the demo song.
2. Teaching function (Paipai piano teaching)
Press any key rstly (such as the forty key), then press [DATA/TEMPO-] and [DATA/TEMPO+] button
synchronously, the teaching function turns on, the forty teaching song will be on.

Press the [SOUND/DATA] +/- button to change the instrument presets.Each time
the button is pressed, the next preset is recalled.

Transpose
You can transpose your piano by +/-12 semitones. Keep the [TRANSPOSE ]button on the control panel
pressed for more than 2 seconds (the corresponding button indicator blinks):
Press the [SOUND/DATA] buttons to change the current value.
Press the [TRANSPOSE] button to exit the transpose edit status.
The button indicator stops flashing but remains ON, to show the current transposed status of the
piano.

Being an extremely user-friendly instrument, the functions of this digital piano are easily activated.
Each function is associated with one of keys on the right keyboard.
The name of each function is printed under the corresponding key for your reference.
Dynamics: It is divided into four types, o, light, standard and strong. Each of them is corresponding to
one key. Long press [GRAND PIANO] button to activate function select status, then press corresponding
key to choose.
Each programming function can be enabled by long pressing the [GRAND PIANO] key.
While holding the selected key, you can select the corresponding function.
Press the [GRAND PIANO] button to exit the function status and return to normal mode

function.
Dual Voice:There are two statuses, on and o, which are corresponding to one key. Long press [GRAND
PIANO] button to activate function selection. Then press corresponding function key to turn on or o dual
voice function.
Temperaments selection:There are 6 beat styles, which are 1,2,3,4,5,6, separately corresponding to
4 keys and 2 black keys. Long press [GRAND PIANO] button to activate function selection. Then press
corresponding function key to choose beat style.
