Als u deze gebruiksaanwijzing doorleest, bent u snel op de hoogte van alle
mogelijkheden die dit toestel u biedt. U vindt informatie voor uw veiligheid en
over het onderhoud van het toestel.
Bewaar de gebruiksaanwijzing en het installatievoorschrift. Een eventueel
volgende gebruiker van dit toestel kan daar zijn voordeel mee doen.

Bediening (RSK595 / RSK986)
Verlichting in- en uitschakelen
Druk op de verlichtingstoets .
De verlichting gaat branden.
Druk nogmaals op de toets en de verlichting gaat uit.
Ventilator inschakelen
Druk op toets , of .
De afzuigkap schakelt in op de gekozen stand. Het aan/uitlampje tussen de
toetsen licht op.
Bediening (RSK975/RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999)

Druk op de verlichtingtoets /.
De verlichting gaat branden.
Druk nogmaals op de toets en de verlichting gaat uit.
Ventilator inschakelen

Wijzig de snelheid door op de motorsnelheidsschakelaars /
of / te drukken.

Waar u op moet letten
■Laat het toestel aansluiten door een erkend installateur (zie hoofdstuk
"Installatie").
■Het verwijderen van de panelen dient te gebeuren door ze recht naar
beneden te trekken. Gebruik hiervoor twee handen.
■De panelen worden heet tijdens gebruik. Wacht, na het koken, minimaal
30 minuten met het schoonmaken van de panelen.
■Bij reparatie of schoonmaakbeurten moet het toestel stroomloos gemaakt
worden. Neem de stekker uit het stopcontact of draai de schakelaar in de
meterkast op nul.
■Schakel, voordat u met koken begint, de afzuigkap in. Laat na het koken de
afzuigkap nog ca. 5 minuten ingeschakeld staan.
■Vet en olie zijn bij oververhitting brandbaar. Blijf in de buurt tijdens het
bereiden van gerechten.
■Een met vet verzadigd filter is brandbaar. Flambeer nooit onder de afzuigkap
en maak het filter op tijd schoon.
■Maak eerst het toestel stroomloos als u de lampen wilt vervangen! Gebruik
uitsluitend dezelfde lampen met aangegeven wattage.
■In verband met eventuele scherpe randen aan de ombouwkoker adviseren wij
u tijdens de montage van de koker werkhandschoenen te gebruiken.
Afvoersystemen
De afzuigkap moet op een afvoerkanaal aangesloten worden.
De aangezogen kookdampen worden naar buiten afgevoerd, nadat de dampen
gefilterd zijn. De afzuigkap wordt aan de bovenzijde, met behulp van het
bijgesloten aansluitpijpmondje, op het afvoerkanaal aangesloten.

Panelen verwijderen
Trek de panelen rechtstandig naar beneden uit
de vier houders. Gebruik hiervoor beide handen.
Filterrooster verwijderen
Schakel de netspanning uit! Neem de stekker uit
het stopcontact of zet de schakelaar in de
meterkast op nul. Trek het rooster naar u toe en
kantel het naar voren toe omlaag.

Intensiefstand
U kunt de afzuigkap tijdelijk in de hoogste stand inschakelen, bijvoorbeeld om
snel de geur af te voeren als er iets aangebrand is.
Druk op toets / om de intensiefstand in te schakelen.
De afzuigkap schakelt gedurende 5 minuten in op de hoogste stand (4) en keert
daarna terug naar de oorspronkelijke stand.
Timer
Druk gedurende 2 seconden op schakelaar / , / of / .
De afzuigkap blijft nog 5 minuten ingeschakeld op de gekozen stand, daarna
worden de afzuigkap en de verlichting automatisch uitgeschakeld.
Reinigingsindicatie
Druk bij uitgeschakelde motor (indicatielampje is uit) op toets / .
Het indicatielampje geeft het aantal bedrijfsuren (werkende motor) van de
afzuigkap weer. Hier kunt u aan afleiden of u de vetfilters en de metalen
panelen dient te reinigen. Dit is slechts een indicatie, de mate van verzadiging
is sterk afhankelijk van de gebruiksintensiteit.
Groen: minder dan 6 bedrijfsuren, reinigen vetfilters en metalen panelen niet
nodig.
Oranje: tussen 6 en 12 bedrijfsuren, reinigen vetfilters en metalen panelen
aanbevolen bij intensief gebruik.
Rood: meer dan 12 bedrijfsuren, reinigen vetfilters en metalen panelen vereist.
Nadat u de vetfilters gereinigd heeft kunt u de reinigingsindicatie resetten door
de toets / langer dan 5 seconden ingedrukt te houden.

Filters
Aluminiumfilters elke week reinigen in een sopje. Het aluminiumfilter wordt
door de reinigingsmiddelen dof. Dit is normaal.
Algemeen
De aansluiting van dit apparaat op het lichtnet moet worden uitgevoerd door
een erkend installateur, die de juiste veiligheidsvoorschriften kent en toepast.
Het apparaat voldoet aan de Europese voorschriften CEE 89/336 EMC en
CEE 73/23; 93/68 LVD.
Belangrijk om te weten:
■Monteer de afzuigkap altijd met een minimale vrije afstand van 650 mm tot
de kookplaat. Voor de RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999 geldt een minimale
vrije afstand van 550 mm in verband met de hogere plaatsing van de filters.
■Als de afzuigkap wordt aangesloten op een bestaand afvoerkanaal, mogen
geen andere apparaten op dat kanaal aangesloten zijn (zoals een geiser of
kachel).
■Neem de plaatselijk geldende voorschriften in acht met betrekking tot de
beluchting van gasapparaten.
■Hoe korter de afvoerpijp en hoe minder bochten, des te beter is de werking
van de afzuigkap.
■Controleer voordat u met boren begint of er geen installatieleiding(en)
aanwezig is (zijn).
■De aansluitpijp van de schouwkap heeft een diameter van 150 mm
(RSK975/RSK986/RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999) of 125 mm (RSK595). Het
beste is de afvoerpijp ook met deze diameter uit te voeren.
■Het installatiemateriaal dat bij deze afzuigkap geleverd wordt, is geschikt
voor versterkt beton en bakstenen muren. Voor sommige types muren heeft u
speciale pluggen en schroeven nodig.

Lampen vervangen
RSK595
Verwijder de panelen en het filterrooster. Vervang de lamp.
RSK986 / RSK975 / RSK981 / RSK990
RSK995 / RSK999
Draai de vergrendeling (1) linksom en verwijder
deze. Trek de lamp (2) in de pijlrichting uit de
houder en plaats de nieuwe lamp. Druk het
deksel weer vast.
Denk erom, dat wanneer u het lampje vervangt, u dit niet met de handen
aanraakt. Direct contact met de huid kan tot gevolg hebben dat het lampje
doorbrandt.
Reinigen
Afzuigkap
Maak de afzuigkap schoon met een sopje en een zachte doek. Daarna met
schoon water nabehandelen. Gebruik geen agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen
zoals bijvoorbeeld soda. Het lakwerk van de afzuigkap blijft mooi als u zo nu en
dan de lak met was inwrijft.
Roestvrijstalen schouwkappen
Niet behandelen met schuursponsjes of andere schuurmiddelen. Nabehandelen
met Stahlfix en met de structuur van het roestvrijstaal meepoetsen.
Metalen panelen
De metalen panelen kunnen voor reiniging in de vaatwasmachine geplaatst
worden. Plaats de panelen met de openingen naar beneden in de
vaatwasmachine zodat het water eruit kan lopen.
Glazen panelen
De glazen panelen niet in de vaatwasser reinigen in verband met het risico op
het ontstaan van kleurverschillen. Glazen panelen kunnen het best handmatig,
met een sopje gereinigd worden.

Montage van de schouwkap (RSK986 / RSK975)
■Bepaal eerst plaats en afstand met
betrekking tot de ophangbeugels.
Teken de te boren gaten af op de
wand en boor de gaten.
■Bevestig de beugels (A) aan de
wand met behulp van de pluggen en
de schroeven.
■Schroef de kap op de muur met
behulp van de pluggen en de
schroeven (B).
■Aan de achterzijde van de
schouwkap zijn 2 gaten van 8 mm
om de kap te fixeren met behulp van
2 pluggen/schroeven (C).
■Sluit de afvoerpijp aan.
■Bevestig de korte koker aan de
bevestigingsbeugel (A) en trek de
lange koker tot op de bovenzijde
van de schouwkap.
■Schoef de koker vast vanuit de binnenzijde van de schouwkap (filters
weghalen).
De installatie van de afzuigkap kan vereenvoudigd worden door het zwarte
filterraam te verwijderen. Hiervoor dienen de bevestigingsschroeven
losgedraaid te worden. Nadat de installatie is voltooid dient het filterraam
teruggeplaatst te worden.

Afvoeren verpakking en toestel
De verpakking van het toestel is recyclebaar. Gebruikt zijn:
– karton
– poly-ethyleenfolie (PE)
– CFK-vrij polystyreen (PS-hard-schuim)
– polypropyleen banden om de doos
Deze materialen op verantwoorde wijze en conform de overheidsbepalingen
afvoeren.
De overheid kan u ook informatie verschaffen over het op verantwoorde wijze
afvoeren van afgedankte huishoudelijke apparaten.

When you have read these instructions for use, you will quickly be aware of all
the facilities the appliance can offer you. You can read about safety and how
you should look after the appliance.
Keep the instructions for use and the installation instructions. Any later user of
this appliance could benefit from them.

Precautions you must take
■Have the appliance connected by a qualified fitter (see section "Installation").
■The panels can be removed by pulling them directly downwards. Use both
hands for this purpose.
■The panels get hot during cooking. Wait 30 minutes before start cleaning the
panels after cooking.
■The power supply must be disconnected before the appliance is cleaned or
repaired. Remove the plug from the socket or switch the electricity off at the
mains.
■We advise you to switch the cooker hood on before you start cooking. Leave
the cooker hood on for another 5 minutes or so after you have finished
cooking.
■Fats and oils become inflammable on overheating. Never leave such foods
unattended during preparation.
■A grease-saturated filter mat is inflammable, so never flambé under the
cooker hood, and clean the filter regularly.
■Switch off the electricity before replacing the light bulbs! Only use the same
sort of light bulbs with the same Wattage.
■In view of possible sharp edges on the chimney we advise you to wear
working gloves when fitting the chimney.
Extraction systems
The extractor hood must be connected to a duct.
The cooking vapours extracted by suction are carried outside, once the vapours
have been filtered. The cooker hood is connected to the duct at the top using
the outlet flange supplied.

Removing panels
Pull the panels straight downwards out of the
clips. Use two hands to remove the panels.
Removing the filter panel
Switch off the electricity! Remove the plug from
the socket or switch the electricity off at the
mains. Pull the grille towards you and tilt it
downwards at the front.

Intensive setting
You can temporarily switch the extractor hood to the highest setting – in order,
for example, to remove the odour quickly if something has burned.
Press switch / to switch to the intensive setting.
The extractor hood switches to its highest setting (4) for 5 minutes, and then
switches back to the original setting.
Timer
Press switch / , / or / for 2 seconds.
The extractor hood remains at the selected setting for 5 minutes, after which
the extractor hood and the lighting are automatically switched off.
Cleaning indication
With the motor switched off (indicator light is off), press the button / .
The indicator light shows the number of operating hours (motor running) of the
extractor hood. You can deduce from this whether you should clean the grease
filters and the metal panels. This is only an indication; the degree of saturation
depends strongly on the intensity of use.
Green: less than 6 operating hours: cleaning of grease filters and metal panels
not necessary.
Orange:between 6 and 12 operating hours: cleaning of grease filters and metal
panels recommended in the case of intensive use.
Red: more than 12 operating hours: cleaning of grease filters and metal
panels required.
Once you have cleaned the grease filters, you can reset the cleaning indication
by pressing the button / for longer than 5 seconds.

Filters
Wash aluminium filters every week in soapy water. The cleaning agents will
make the aluminium filter turn dull, this is normal.
General
This appliance should be connected to the power supply by a recognized fitter
who is familiar with, and works according to the correct safety regulations. This
appliance meets the European requirements CEE 89/336 EMC and CEE 73/23;
93/68 LVD.
Important that you know:
■The cooker hood should be mounted at least 650 mm above the hob. The
minimum clearance in the case of the RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999 is
550 mm in connection with the higher positioning of the filters.
■If the cooker hood is to be fitted to an existing duct no other appliances,
such as a geyser or heater, may be connected to that same duct.
■Consider local regulations with respect to the ventilation of gas appliances!
■The shorter the duct, and the fewer the bends in it, the better the cooker
hood will work.
■Before you start drilling check that there are no installation cables present.
■The connecting pipe for the extractor hood has a diameter of 150 mm
(RSK975/RSK986/RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999) or 125 mm (RSK595). It is
best also to use a flue pipe of the same diameter.
■The installation material supplied with this rangehood is designed for fixing
to reinforced concrete or masonry walls. For some types of walls you may
need special plugs and screws.)

Changing the light bulbs
RSK595
Remove the metal panels and the filter panel. Change the light bulb.
RSK868/RSK975/RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999
Remove the cover (1) by turning it counter
clockwise. Pull the bulb (2) in the direction of the
arrow and out of the holder, then fit the new
bulb.
Take care not to touch the bulb with your hands when you replace it, since
direct contact with the skin can result in the bulb burning out.
Cleaning
Cooker hood
Clean the cooker hood with soapy water and a soft cloth. Then wipe with clean
water to rinse. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents such as soda.
The cooker hood paintwork will stay looking nice if you wax it occasionally.
Stainless steel canopy hoods
Do not use any sort of scourer. Treat with Stahlfix (supermarket) and polish with
the structure of the stainless steel.
Metal panels
The panels can be placed in the dishwasher for cleaning. The openings must be
placed downwards to let the water run out of the panels.
Glass panels
Do not clean the glass panels in a dishwasher in connection with the risk of
discolouration. Glass panels can best be cleaned by hand with soapsuds.

that must be drilled and drill the
holes.
■Fix brackets (A) to the wall with the
plugs and screws provided.
■Screw the hood to the wall with the
plugs and screws (B) provided.
■On the back of the canopy hood are
2 holes with a diameter of 8 mm for
the 2 plugs/ screws (C) to fix the
hood.
■Connect the duct.
■Fit the short cylinder to the
mounting bracket (A) and pull the
long cylinder to the top of the
canopy hood.
■Screw the chimney in place from the
inside of the canopy hood (remove filters).

Installation of the extractor hood can be simplified by removing the black filter
frame. To do so, unscrew the fastening screws. Once installation is complete,
the filter frame should be replaced.

The packaging of the appliance is recyclable. It is made up off:
– cardboard
– polyethylene

■Screw the chimney in place from the
inside of the canopy hood (remove filters).
Installation of the extractor hood can be simplified by removing the black filter
frame. To do so, unscrew the fastening screws. Once installation is complete,
the filter frame should be replaced.

Recommandations
■Faites raccorder votre appareil par un installateur agréé (voir chapitre
"Installation").
■L'élimination des panneaux doit se produire en les tirant droit vers le bas.
Utilisez ici vos deux mains.
■Les panneaux chauffent pendant l'utilisation. Après cuisson, attendez au
moins 30 minutes avant de commencer le nettoyage des panneaux.
■Avant de réparer ou de nettoyer l'appareil, coupez le courant. Débrancher la
fiche de prise de courant ou mettre le disjoncteur en position d'interruption
du courant.
■Les matières grasses animales et l'huile sont inflammables en cas de
surchauffe. Ne pas vous éloigner de la plaque de cuisson lors de la
préparation des plats.
■Il est recommandé de mettre la hotte en marche avant le début d'une
cuisson. Laisser fonctionner la hotte pendant environ 5 minutes après la fin
d'une cuisson.
■Un filtre saturé de graisses est inflam-mable. Ne pas faire flamber d'aliments
sous la hotte et nettoyer fréquemment le filtre à graisses.
■Avant de changer une ampoule, toujours débrancher l'appareil ! N'utiliser
que des ampoules semblables à celles d'origine et avec le même voltage.
■Les bords de la gaine pouvant être pointus, nous vous conseillons de mettre
des gants de travail avant de procéder au montage de la gaine.
Système d'évacuation
La hotte doit être connectée à un conduit d'air. La hotte est raccordée à un
conduit d'évacuation, les vapeurs de cuisson aspirées sont évacuées dehors
après la filtration des particules de graisse. Le raccordement au conduit
d'évacuation se fait au dessus de la hotte à l'aide de la buse livrée
simultanément.

Elimination des panneaux
Enlevez les panneaux des quatre supports en les
tirant verticalement vers le bas. Utilisez ici vos
deux mains.
Demontage de la grille d’aspiration
Coupt ! Débrancher la fiche de prise de courant
ou mettre le disjoncteur en position
d'interruption du courant. Tirer l'avant de la grille
vers le bas.
utilisation
Position intensité
Vous pouvez enclencher temporairement la hotte sur la position la plus élevée,
par exemple, pour évacuer rapidement des odeurs de brûlé.
Appuyez sur la touche / pour enclencher la position intensive. La
hotte fonctionnera pendant 5 minutes sur la position la plus élevée (4) pour
revenir ensuite sur la position d'origine.
Minuterie
Appuyez pendant 2 secondes sur l'interrupteur / , / ou
/ . La hotte va encore fonctionner pendant 5 minutes sur la position
sélectionnée. La mise hors service de la hotte et de l'éclairage se fera ensuite
automatiquement.
Témoins de nettoyage
Si le moteur est à l'arrêt, appuyez sur la touche / (témoin lumineux est
éteint). Le témoin lumineux indique le nombre d'heures de service (moteur
actif) de la hotte. Il vous permet de déduire si vous devez nettoyer les filtres à
graisse et les panneaux métalliques. Ceci n'est qu'une indication, le degré de
saturation dépend fortement de l'intensité d'utilisation.
Vert : moins de 6 heures de service, le nettoyage des filtres à graisse et des
panneaux métalliques n'est pas nécessaire.
Orange : entre 6 et 12 heures de service, il est recommandé lors d'un usage
intensif de nettoyer les filtres à graisse et les panneaux métalliques.
Rouge : plus de 12 heures de service, nettoyez les filtres à graisse et les
panneaux métalliques.
Après avoir nettoyé les filtres à graisse, vous pouvez réinitialiser le témoin de
nettoyage en appuyant pendant plus de 5 secondes sur la touche / .

Filters
Nettoyer les filtres en aluminium chaque semaine à l'eau savonneuse. Les produits
d'entretien donnent aux filtres en aluminium une couleur terne. Cela est tout à fait
normal.
Généralités
Le raccordement électrique de cet appareil doit être effectué par un installateur
agréé, qui connaît et applique les normes de sécurité en vigueur. Cet appareil
est conformément aux directives Européens CEE 89/336 EMC et CEE 73/23 ;
93/68 LVD.
Important:
■Lorsque vous montez la hotte, toujours laisser une distance d'au moins
650 mm entre la table de cuisson et la hotte. Pour le modèle
RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999, il convient de respecter une distance libre
minimale de 550 mm en rapport avec le placement plus élevé des filtres.
■Si la hotte est raccordée à un conduit d'évacuation existant, aucun autre
appareil électroménager ne doit être raccordé au même conduit (exemples :
chauffe-eau, poêle).
■Ne pas oublier les règlements locaux en vigueur concernant l'aération des
appareils à gaz.
■Un conduit d'évacuation court et un nombre limité de coudes assurent un
meilleur fonctionnement de la hotte.
■Avant de commencer à percer, assurez vous qu'il ne passe pas de conduites à
l'endroit choisi.
■Le tuyau de connexion a un diamètre de 150 mm
(RSK975/RSK986/RSK981/RSK990/RSK995/RSK999) ou de 125 mm (RSK595). Il
est conseillé d'utiliser aussi ces diamètres pour le tube de connexion.
■Le matériel d'installation livré avec la hotte en question, est approprié pour
des murs en béton renforcé et en briques. Certains types de murs
demanderont des chevilles et des vis spéciales.

Changement d'ampoules
RSK595
Enlever des panneaux et la grille du filtre. Remplacer l’ampoule.
RSK986 / RSK975 / RSK981 / RSK990 / RSK995 / RSK999
Tournez le dispositif de verrouillage vers la
gauche (1) avant de l'enlever. Sortir la lampe (2)
de son support en la tirant dans la direction de
la flèche et placer la nouvelle lampe.
Si vous devez remplacer l’ampoule, ne la touchez pas avec les mains car le
contact direct de la peau peut la faire griller.
Nettoyage
Hotte
Vous pouvez nettoyer la hotte à l'eau savonneuse et une serviette douce, puis
rincer à l'eau claire. Ne pas utiliser de produits d'entretien abrasifs. Frotter la
peinture laquée de votre hotte avec de la cire pour qu'elle conserve sa beauté.
Hottes à cheminée en acier inoxydable
Ne pas nettoyer la cheminée avec une éponge à récurer ou avec des produits
abrasifs. Frotter la cheminée en acier inoxydable avec du Stahlfix.
Panneaux métalliques
Il est possible de laver les panneaux métalliques dans le lave-vaisselle. Placez
les panneaux en mettant les ouvertures vers le bas dans le lave-vaisselle pour
permettre à l'eau de s'écouler.
Panneaux en verre
Les panneaux en verre ne doivent pas être nettoyés dans le lave-vaisselle pour
éviter de causer des différences de couleurs. Les panneaux en verre doivent
être lavés à la main à l'aide d'une solution savonneuse.
