You shouldcheckthe oil inyourgeneratorbefore every
use. Todothis:
1.Aswith anymaintenance or operatingprocedure,
make sure yourmachine ison an even, level
surface
2.Remove the oil dipstick(see Figure G)
3.Wipe offanyoil on the dipstickwith aclean drycloth
andreinsertthe dipstickintothe oil fillerhole.
Remove again andcheckthe level ofthe oil onthe
dipstick. Ifthe oil level islowon the stick, ordoes
notappear, you will needtofill the oil crankcase
(see nextsection below).
4.Replace theoildipstickandscrew tightwhen done.

Ifwaterorcontaminantshave enteredyouroil
crankcase, orifitis time forascheduledoil change,
follow the stepsbelow todrain youroil:
1.First, place apanbeneath the generatortocatch
theoilas itdrains.

oil fillerhole (see Figure I)andallow the oil to
drain
3.Onceoilhas drainedcompletelyreplace the oil
drain plugwith the wrench.
4.Torefill the oil, first, make sure yourmachine is
