Ensure that the power is OFF before replac-
ing the battery.
1 Open the battery chamber cover as
shown.
2 Insert
onelithiumbattery
(type
GR'123A
or
the equivalent) with the plus/minus (+/-)
sides matchingthe indications in the bat-
tery compartment.
3 Close the battery chamber cover. Ensure
that the cover is lockedwith a click.

FILMLOADING
I Slide the back cover release lever down
and pull the backcover.
2 Place
the film cartridge in the film cham-
ber by fitting the flat side onto the top of
the rewind shaft first and then slide the
top end of the film cartridgeinto the cam-
era.
3 Pull the film leader out far enough from
the cartridge to reach the take-up spool.

the film guides.

After you have exposed the last frame of
the roll, the lens retracts and the film
rewinds automatically,the motor stops,
and (0) blinks as shown to indicate
that
the film hasbeenrewound.
. A 24-expbsureroll ol film takes allout 20 sec-
onds
to be rewound.
. During
rewinding,
theexposure
counter
counts
frame
numbers
inreverse.

To unload the film, open the back cover'
and removethe cartridge from the cham-
ber by pulling the top of the film cartridge
out first with your finger.

A FILM
IN
MID-ROLL

you
wish
tounload
afilm
before
exposing
alltheframes,
push
the
mid-roll
rewind
but-
ton with the protrusion
part of the strap
clamp; the lens retracts
and then film
rewinding
starts.
Whenrewind
is complet-
ed,the motor
stops,
and (1;)
blinks,indi-
cating
that
theback
covermaybe opened
safely.

HOLDING
THE
CAMERA
Keep the camera as still as possible,
and gently depress the shutter release
button. lf too much force is applied,
the
camerais likelyto shake,
and the pic'
ture will be blurred. When using the
flash with the camera positioned verti-
cally,hold the cameraso that the flash
is abovethe lens.
Notes:
. Do not hold the zoom lens becauseit
moves
back
and
forth
while
inoperation.
. Makesure notto obstruct
the autofocus
window,
lens,
lightsensor
window
orthe
built-in
flash with your fingers,
hair or
