the film cartridge in the film cham'
ber by fitting the flat side onto the top of
the rewind shaft first and then slide the
top end of the film cartridgeinto the cam-
era.
3 Pull the film leader out far enough from
the cartridge to reach the take-up spool.
Alignthetip of thefilm with thefilm leader
end mark@ and ensurethe film is placed
properlybetween
the film guides.

After you have exposed the last frame of
the roll, the lens retracts and the film
rewinds automatically,the motor stops,
and (c) blinks as shown to indicate
that
thefilm hasbeenrewound.
. A 24-exposure
roll
offilm
takes
about
20 sec-
onds
to berewound.
. During
rewinding,
theexposure
counter
counts
frame
numbers
inreverse.

To unload the film, open the back cover,
and removethe cartridgefrom the cham-
ber by pullingthe top of the film cartridge
out first with your finger.

open
theback
cover
until
the
whole
film
roll
isrewound.

A FILM

you
wish
to
unload
afilm
before
exposing
allthe
frames,
push
themid-roll
rewind
but-
ton with the protrusion
part of the strap
clamp; the lens retracts
and then film
rewinding
starts.
Whenrewind
iscomplet-
ed,the motor
stops,
and (fi) blinks,
indi-
catingthat
theback
covermaybeopened
safely.

HOLDING
THE
CAMERA
Keep the camera as still as possible,
and gently depress the shutter release
button. lf too much force is applied,
the
camera is likely to shake, and the pic'
ture will be blurred. When using the
flash with the camera positioned verti-
cally,hold the cameraso that the flash
is abovethe lens.
Notes:
. Do not holdthe zoom lens because
it
movesbackand
forth
whileinoperation.
. Makesure notto obstruct
the autofocus
window,
lens,lightsensor
windoworthe
built-in
flash with your fingers,
hair or
other
object.

LENS
The standard format allows a shooting
rangefrom m (infinity)to 0.8m(2.60ft).
Pushing
the
zoom
buttom
onthe
right
(r )moves
the lens
towards
the 'l35mm
telephoto
setting.
Pushing
the zoom buttom
on the left (ru)
moves
the lensmoves
towards
the wide-angle
38mm setting.
When the lens zooms to the
desired
setting,
release
the zoom bottom
and
depress
theshutterrelease
button
fully
to take
pictures.
. Do notapply
force
to thezoomlens
as doing
socauses
damage
tothecamera.
. Theshutter
cannot
be released
while
thelend
iszooming.
