2. CONNECTIONS
Connect the red cable of the battery's "+" terminal (red terminal) with the inverter's
"+" binding post (red connection) and the black cable of the battery's "-" terminal
(black terminal) with the inverter's "-" binding post (black connection). The cable is
≤2m.
Be sure to tighten the screws in order to avoid loose connection.
3. FUSE
The fuses are located inside the housing. Do not open the housing yourself :
consult the distributor in case of a blown fuse. Please refer to "15.
SPECIFICATIONS".

4. OUTPUT CAPACITY
The inverter will switch off automatically if the total wattage of the electrical
appliances exceeds the inverter's output capacity. This will also happen if the
temperature of the inverter exceeds 55°C due to pro longed use.
5. OPERATION
Always activate the inverter before activating the appliance connected with the
inverter.
The buzzer will sound when the battery voltage is very low, indicating that the
inverter will be disconnected in a couple of minutes.
In case of overload, the inverter will automatically try to engage the soft-start
mode until the user diminishes the load.

6. SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Unplug the AC inverter when not in use or when starting the vehicle's motor.
If the AC inverter makes a beeping sound : switch off your appliance, unplug the
inverter and restart your vehicle's engine. The beeping sound is simply the
battery-low indication, warning you that the voltage of your battery is getting low.
Your inverter will shut down automatically if you do not restart your engine and
continue to use your inverter. This will leave your vehicle's battery at about
10.5VDC, enabling you to start your engine and resume operation of the inverter.
It also eliminates the possibility of being stranded with a dead battery.
To avoid over-discharging the battery, it is advisable to let your engine run for 10
to 20 minutes after every 2-3 hours of using the AC inverter. This allows your
vehicle's battery to recharge.
Please remember to connect the "+" wire to the "+" terminal and the "-" wire to the
"-" terminal if you choose to use an adapter for a direct connection between the
AC inverter and the battery terminals. IF YOU CONNECT THE WIRES TO
INCORRECT TERMINALS, THE POLARITY WILL BE REVERSED AND THIS
WILL DAMAGE THE INVERTER. REVERSED POLARITY WILL INSTANTLY
VOID YOUR INVERTER'S WARRANTY.
Please remember to disconnect the AC inverter before connecting the battery
charger in order to replenish your battery. Failure to disconnect the inverter prior
to connecting a charger may result in an input spike that will damage the inverter.
CONNECTING THE INVERTER'S INPUT TO A BATTERY CHARGER WILL
VOID THE WARRANTY AND MAY DAMAGE THE INVERTER.
Make sure that the voltage never exceeds 15VDC.
CONNECTING THE INVERTER TO A DC POWER SOURCE SUPERIOR TO
15VDC WILL VOID THE WARRANTY AND MAY DAMAGE THE INVERTER.
THE INVERTER WILL BE SHUT DOWN AUTOMATICALLY.
Pay attention when connecting a device to an EPI. The manuals of many devices
list the nominal power and NOT the startup power. The EPI’s are protected
against overload and this can cause the connected devices to start up with
difficulty or not at all. Read the manual of the device to know the peak power or
consult the manufacturer.
The EPI600B has a modified sine output (viz. square wave). This means that a
600W device may experience difficulties starting up or may not work at all when
connected with an EPI600B.

7. ADDING EXTENSION CORDS
We recommend that the buyer refrain from using an extension cord between the
DC power source and the inverter's DC input. Connecting an extension cord to the
DC input will create a voltage drop which, in turn, entails reduced efficiency.
Instead, we recommend using an extension cord to link the AC output and the AC
appliance. You can use up to 100ft (30m) of high-quality extension cord. A longer
cord may result in reduced power.
8. EARTHING CONNECTION
WARNING : YOU MUST PROVIDE THE INVERTER WITH AN EARTHING
CONNECTION BEFORE YOU USE IT.
•The rear panel of the inverter is equipped with a terminal fitted with a wing nut.
This terminal is connected to the case of the inverter and also to the earthing
terminal of the AC output socket. The nature of your installation will determine
whether or not you need this terminal. Always use heavy-duty yellow and green
wiring for this connection.
•In a stationary land-based installation, the earthing terminal should be
connected to a metal earthing stake driven into the ground to a minimum depth
of 1.2m. One of the battery terminals (preferably the negative one) should also
be connected to the earthing stake if the battery system powering the inverter is
not equipped with a ground connection.
•If the inverter is used in a vehicle, where it is wired directly to the battery, the
earthing terminal is simply connected to the chassis of that vehicle. If, however,
the inverter has to power equipment used outside the vehicle, an earthing stake
should be used as described above.
•Connect the earthing terminal to the existing grounding system when the
inverter is used on a boat.
NOTE : The earthing terminal of the AC outlet is connected to the neutral terminal.
This is the same as with a standard household power point where the
neutral connection is bonded to earth and there is no voltage between the
two.

9. MEASURING AC VOLTAGES
The output wave of the AC inverter is a MODIFIED SINEWAVE. An AUTHENTIC
RMS VOLT METER is required to measure the AC output voltage. Using any
other type of voltage measuring device will result in an AC voltage reading that is
up to 20 to 30V lower than the rated value. Only an authentic RMS voltmeter
provides an accurate reading.
10. VENTILATION
IMPORTANT ! Make sure the fan keeps revolving while the device is in use.
Check for failures if the fan does not work while the inverter is being used.
Make sure the fan is not blocked in order to avoid poor ventilation.

11. CHASSIS EARTHING
The chassis earthing lug should be connected to an earthing point, which will vary
depending on where the power inverter is installed. In a vehicle, connect the
chassis ground lug to the chassis of the vehicle. In a boat, connect to the boat's
grounding systems. In a fixed location, connect to earth.
12. CAUTION
In case of trouble with the AC output, e.g. short circuit, overload, etc… the
protection circuit will automatically cut off the output.
In such cases : (A) switch off the power at once
(B) disconnect all devices
(C) check the connected devices
(D) you can use the devices again as soon as the problems
have been solved
Store the inverter in the right environment :
(A) well-ventilated
(B) not exposed to direct sunlight or any other heat source
(C) inaccessible to children
(D) safe from water/moisture, oil or grease
(E) safe from flammable substances
Connecting the inverter in the wrong way will void the warranty.
13. MAINTENANCE
Very little maintenance is required to keep your inverter operating smoothly. Clean
the exterior of the device periodically using a damp cloth in order to prevent the
accumulation of dust and dirt. Tighten the screws on the DC input terminals
whenever you are cleaning the device.

2. VERBINDINGEN
Verbind het rode snoer van het "+" stopcontact (rode aansluiting) van de batterij
met het "+" contactblokje (rode verbinding) van de inverter en verbind het zwarte
snoer van het "-" stopcontact (zwarte aansluiting) van de batterij met het "-"
contactblokje (zwarte verbinding) van de inverter. De kabel is ≤2m lang.
Draai de schroeven goed aan voor een optimale aansluiting.
3. ZEKERING
De zekeringen bevinden zich binnenin de behuizing van het toestel. Open de
behuizing niet zelf : raadpleeg de verdeler in geval van een gesprongen zekering.

4. UITGANGSVERMOGEN
De inverter wordt automatisch uitgeschakeld indien de totale wattage van de
elektrische apparaten het uitgangsvermogen van de spanningsinverter overstijgt.
Hetzelfde geldt indien de temperatuur van de inverter door te intensief gebruik
oploopt tot meer dan 55°C.
5. BEDIENING
Schakel altijd eerst de inverter in en dan pas het toestel dat erop aangesloten is.
De buzzer weerklinkt wanneer de batterijspanning zeer laag is. Dit wijst erop dat
de inverter binnen enkele minuten automatisch zal worden uitgeschakeld.
Bij overbelasting zal het toestel automatisch proberen de soft-start mode in te
schakelen zolang u de belasting niet heeft verminderd.

6. BELANGRIJKE TIPS
Koppel de AC inverter los wanneer u hem niet gebruikt of wanneer u de motor
start.
Als de AC inverter een fluitend geluid maakt : schakel het apparaat uit, koppel de
inverter los en herstart de motor van uw wagen. Het piepgeluid is de batterij-laag
indicatie en geeft dus aan dat uw batterij bijna leeg is. De inverter wordt
automatisch uitgeschakeld indien u de motor niet herstart en u de inverter blijft
gebruiken. De batterij van uw wagen is dan goed voor zo'n 10.5VDC, genoeg om
de motor te herstarten en de inverter verder te gebruiken. Zo loopt u geen risico
meer op een lege batterij.
U doet er goed aan om uw motor 10 tot 20 minuten te laten draaien telkens u de
inverter zo'n 2 tot 3 uur heeft gebruikt. Zo kan de batterij opnieuw opladen en kunt
u overdreven ontlading vermijden.
Onthoud dat u het "+" snoer moet verbinden met de "+" aansluiting en het "-"
snoer met de "-" aansluiting indien u een adapter wil gebruiken om een directe
verbinding te verwezenlijken tussen de AC inverter en de batterijaansluitingen.
ALS U DE SNOEREN VERBINDT MET VERKEERDE AANSLUITINGEN, DAN
DRAAIT U DE POLARITEIT OM EN BESCHADIGT U DE INVERTER; DE
GARANTIE VERVALT ONMIDDELLIJK WANNEER ER SPRAKE IS VAN
OMPOLING.
Vergeet de AC inverter niet los te koppelen voor u de batterij aansluit op de
batterijlader. Doet u dit niet en sluit u een lader aan, dan kan dit leiden tot een
spanningspiek die uw inverter zal beschadigen. DE GARANTIE WORDT ONGELDIG
EN DE INVERTER KAN WORDEN BESCHADIGD INDIEN U DE INGANG VAN DE
INVERTER AANSLUIT OP EEN BATTERIJLADER.
Zorg ervoor dat de spanning nooit de 15VDC. DE GARANTIE WORDT ONGELDIG
EN DE INVERTER KAN WORDEN BESCHADIGD INDIEN U HEM AANSLUIT OP
EEN DC VOEDINGSBRON DIE KRACHTIGER IS DAN 15VDC. DE INVERTER
WORDT DAN AUTOMATISCH UITGESCHAKELD.
Let op wanneer u een toestel aansluit op een EPI. Bij vele toestellen wordt het
nominale vermogen vermeld en NIET het startvermogen. De EPI’s zijn beveiligd
tegen overbelasting, zodat de aangesloten toestellen soms moeilijk of helemaal niet
opstarten. Lees de handleiding van uw toestel om het piekvermogen te kennen of
neem contact op met de fabrikant.
De EPI600B heeft een gemodificeerde sinusuitgang (nl. blokgolf).. Hierdoor is het
mogelijk dat een toestel met een vermogen van 600W niet kan opstarten of werken
wanneer u het aansluit op uw EPI600B.

7. AANBRENGEN VAN VERLENGSNOEREN
Wij raden u aan om geen verlengsnoeren te gebruiken tussen de DC
voedingsbron en de DC ingang van de inverter. Een verlengsnoer dat verbonden
is met de DC ingang veroorzaakt een spanningsverlies en dit tast de efficiëntie
aan. In plaats daarvan raden wij u aan om de AC uitgang en het AC apparaat via
een verlengsnoer met elkaar te verbinden. U mag een kwaliteitssnoer van max.
30m gebruiken. Een langer verlengsnoer kan leiden tot spanningsverlies.
8. AARDINGAANSLUITING
WAARSCHUWING : VÓÓR GEBRUIK MOET U DE INVERTER UITRUSTEN
MET EEN AARDINGAANSLUITING.
•Het achterpaneel van uw inverter is uitgerust met een aansluiting die voorzien is
van een vleugelmoer. Deze aansluiting is verbonden met de behuizing van de
inverter en met de aardingaansluiting van het AC uitgangsstopcontact. De aard
van uw installatie zal bepalen of u deze aansluiting nodig heeft. Gebruik altijd
geelgroene bedrading voor deze verbinding.
•In een vaste installatie op het vasteland moet u de aardingaansluiting verbinden
met een metalen aardingstaaf die minstens 1.2m diep in de grond zit. Eén van
de batterijaansluitingen (bij voorkeur de negatieve) moet ook worden verbonden
met de aardingstaaf indien het batterijsysteem dat de inverter voedt, niet is
uitgerust met een aardingaansluiting.
•De aardingaansluiting wordt eenvoudigweg verbonden met het chassis van het
voertuig indien de inverter rechtstreeks is verbonden met de batterij van dat
voertuig. Indien de inverter echter dient als voeding voor apparaten die buiten
het voertuig worden gebruikt, moet u ook hier een aardingstaaf gebruiken (zie
boven).
•Verbind de aardingaansluiting met het bestaande aardingssysteem wanneer u
de inverter gebruikt op een boot.
OPMERKING : De aardingaansluiting van het AC stopcontact is verbonden met
de neutrale aansluiting. Het principe is hetzelfde als bij een
standaard stopcontact bij u thuis waar de neutrale aansluiting
verbonden is met de aarde en waar er geen spanning bestaat
tussen de twee.

9. WISSELSPANNING METEN
De AC inverter gebruikt een GEMODIFICEERDE SINUSGOLF. Gebruik enkel
een AUTHENTIEKE RMS VOLTMETER om AC uitgangsspanning te meten. Het
gebruik van een ander type spanningsmeter levert een uitlezing op die 20 tot 30V
lager ligt dan de normale waarde. Enkel een RMS voltmeter zorgt voor een
betrouwbaar resultaat.
10. VENTILATIE
LET OP ! Zorg ervoor dat de ventilator blijft draaien zolang de inverter in gebruik
is. Ga na of er geen defecten zijn indien de ventilator niet werkt wanneer u de
inverter gebruikt.
Zorg ervoor dat de ventilator niet geblokkeerd raakt.

11. AARDING VAN HET CHASSIS
De aardingaansluiting van het chassis moet worden verbonden met een
aardingspunt. Dit punt zal verschillen naargelang de plaats waar de inverter is
geïnstalleerd. In een voertuig moet u de aardingaansluiting verbinden met het
chassis. In een boot maakt u de verbinding met de aanwezige aardingssystemen.
Staat de inverter op een vaste positie, dan maakt u de verbinding met de grond.
12. WAARSCHUWING
Het beveiligingscircuit zal de AC uitgang automatisch afsnijden in geval van
problemen, zoals bv. kortsluiting of overbelasting.
In zo'n gevallen : (A) inverter uitschakelen
(B) alle verbindingen verbreken
(C) de apparaten controleren
(D) zodra de problemen opgelost zijn, kunt u de apparaten
opnieuw gebruiken
Bewaar de inverter altijd in een aangepaste omgeving :
(A) goed gelucht
(B) niet rechtstreeks blootgesteld aan zonlicht of andere warmtebronnen
(C) buiten het bereik van kinderen
(D) uit de buurt van water/vochtigheid, oliën en vetten
(E) uit de buurt van ontvlambare producten
De garantie vervalt als u de inverter verkeerd aansluit.

13.ONDERHOUD
Uw inverter vergt zeer weinig onderhoud. Reinig de behuizing af en toe met een
vochtige doek om de opstapeling van stof en vuil te voorkomen. Span de
schroeven van de DC ingangsaansluitingen aan wanneer u de inverter
schoonveegt.
14.OPMERKING
Alle specificaties zijn typisch bij nominale ingangsspanning, 50% belasting
en 25°C tenzij anders vermeld. De specificaties kun nen te allen tijde worden
gewijzigd zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving.

2. CONNEXIONS
Connectez le fil rouge de la fiche "+" (fiche rouge) de l'accu au plot de liaison "+"
(connexion rouge) de l'inverseur et connectez le fil noir de la fiche "-" (fiche noire)
de l'accu au plot de liaison "-" (connexion noire) de l'inverseur. La longueur du
câble est de ≤2m.
N'oubliez pas de bien serrer les vis afin d'assurer une connexion optimale.
3. FUSIBLE
Les fusibles se trouvent à l'intérieur du boîtier. N'ouvrez pas le boîtier vous-même:
consultez le distributeur en cas d'un fusible sauté. Lisez "15. SPECIFICATIONS".

4. PUISSANCE DE SORTIE
L'inverseur se débranchera automatiquement si la puissance en watts des
appareils électriques dépasse la puissance de sortie de l'inverseur. La même
règle s'applique lorsque la température dépasse 55°C à cause d'un usage trop
intensif.
5. COMMANDE
Branchez l'inverseur avant de brancher l'appareil connecté à l'inverseur.
Le buzzer entre en marche quand la tension de l'accu ne suffit plus pour alimenter
l'inverseur. Par conséquent, l'inverseur sera automatiquement désactivé dans les
5 minutes.
En cas de surcharge, l'appareil essaiera automatiquement d'activer le mode soft-
start tant que l'utilisateur ne diminue pas la charge.

6. CONSEILS IMPORTANTS
Déconnectez l'inverseur CA quand vous ne l'utilisez pas ou avant d'allumer le
moteur de votre véhicule.
Si l'inverseur CA émet des bips sonores : débranchez l'appareil, déconnectez
l'inverseur et rallumer le moteur de votre véhicule. Les bips sonores constituent
l'indication accu faible qui vous prévient du fait que l'accu est presque vide.
L'inverseur se débranche automatiquement si vous ne rallumer pas votre moteur
et vous continuez à opérer votre inverseur. L'accu est débranché lorsqu'il est
encore chargé de 10.5VCC, ce qui permet de rallumer le moteur et de reprendre
vos activités. Cette approche constitue également la façon idéale d'éviter le
problème d'un accu complètement déchargé.
Nous vous conseillons d'allumer votre moteur pendant 10 à 20 minutes chaque
fois que vous avez utilisé l'inverseur pendant 2 à 3 heures. Ceci évite une trop
grande décharge de votre accu et vous permet de le faire recharger.
N'oubliez pas de connecter le fil "+" à la connexion "+" et le fil "-" à la connexion "-
" si vous désirez utiliser un adaptateur afin d'établir un lien direct entre l'inverseur
CA et les raccordements des accus. SI VOUS CONNECTEZ LES FILS AUX
MAUVAIS RACCORDEMENTS, VOUS ENDOMMAGEREZ L'INVERSEUR EN
INVERSANT LA POLARITE. DANS CE CAS, LA GARANTIE SERA INVALIDEE.
N'oubliez pas de déconnecter l'inverseur CA avant de brancher l'accu au chargeur.
Si vous ne le faites pas et vous branchez un chargeur, ceci peut mener à une
pointe de tension qui endommagera forcément votre inverseur. LA GARANTIE
SERA INVALIDEE ET L'INVERSEUR PEUT ETRE ENDOMMAGE SI VOUS
CONNECTEZ L'ENTREE DE L'INVERSEUR A UN CHARGEUR D'ACCUS.
La tension de l'accu ne peut pas dépasser 15VCC. LA GARANTIE SERA INVALIDEE
ET L'INVERSEUR PEUT ETRE ENDOMMAGE SI VOUS LE CONNECTEZ A UNE
SOURCE D'ALIMENTATION DEPASSANT 15VCC. DANS CE CAS L'INVERSEUR
SERA DESACTIVE AUTOMATIQUEMENT.
Faites attention lorsque vous connectez un appareil à un EPI. La notice de la plupart
des appareils parle de la puissance nominale et non pas de la puissance de
démarrage. Les EPI sont protégés contre les surcharges, de sorte que les appareils
connectés ont parfois des difficultés à démarrer ou ne démarrent pas du tout. Lisez la
notice de votre appareil pour connaître la puissance de crête ou contactez le fabricant.
L'EPI600B emploie une sortie à sinusoïdale modifiée (c.-à-d. une onde carrée). Ainsi il
est possible qu’un appareil d’une puissance de 600W éprouve des difficultés de
démarrage ou ne démarre pas du tout lors de la connexion à votre EPI600B.

7. EMPLOI DE RALLONGES
Evitez l'usage d'une rallonge entre la source CC et l'entrée CC de l'inverseur. Une
rallonge connectée à l'entrée CC provoque une perte de tension, ce qui, à son tour,
réduit l'efficacité. Au lieu de cela, nous vous conseillons de connecter la sortie CA et
l'appareil CA au moyen d'une rallonge. Utilisez une rallonge de qualité d'une longueur
max. de 30m. Une rallonge plus longue pourrait provoquer une perte de tension.
8. CONNEXION A LA TERRE
AVERTISSEMENT : L'INVERSEUR DOIT ETRE EQUIPE D'UNE CONNEXION A
LA TERRE AVANT L'USAGE.
•Le panneau arrière de votre inverseur est équipé d'une connexion pourvue d'un
écrou à ailettes. Cette connexion est liée au boîtier de l'inverseur et à la
connexion à la terre de la fiche de sortie CA. La nature de votre équipement
déterminera si vous avez besoin de cette connexion. Réalisez la connexion à
l'aide de câblage jaune-vert résistant.
•Dans une installation sur terre ferme, la connexion à la terre doit être liée à une
tige de terre enfoncée dans le sol jusqu'à une profondeur min. de 1.2m. Une
des connexions de l'accu (de préférence la connexion négative) doit également
être connectée à la tige de terre dans le cas où le système qui alimente
l'inverseur ne serait pas pourvu d'une connexion à la terre.
•S'il existe un lien directe entre l'inverseur et l'accu du véhicule, la connexion de
terre est tout simplement liée au châssis de ce véhicule. Ceci sera déterminé
par la prise de terre de votre châssis (positif ou négatif). Si, par contre,
l'inverseur fait fonction d'alimentation pour des appareils qui sont utilisés en
dehors de la voiture, il devient nécessaire d'utiliser une tige d e terre (voir plus
haut).
•Connectez la connexion à la terre au système de mise à la terre existant pour
tout usage sur un bateau.
REMARQUE : La connexion à la terre de la fiche de sortie CA est liée connexion
neutre. Le principe est le même que celui utilisé pour les prises
standard chez vous : la connexion neutre est liée à la terre sans
qu'il y ait une tension entre les deux.
