Vielen Dank, dass du dich für die Petromax HK500 Elektroleuchte entschieden hast! Mit der Elektroversion
der weltweit beliebten Starklichtlampe holst du dir Erlebnisatmosphäre nach Hause. Wir hoffen, dass
du viel Freude mit deiner Leuchte haben wirst, denn sie bringt dir nostalgisches Flair nach drinnen.
Wichtige Hinweise
Bitte lies diese Gebrauchsanleitung vor dem ersten Gebrauch aufmerksam durch und bewahre
sie gut auf. Beachte insbesondere die Sicherheitshinweise. Übergib die Anleitung auch an
einen möglichen Nachbesitzer.
Produktbeschreibung
Die Petromax HK500 Elektroleuchte wurde eigens für Innenräume entwickelt und bringt Abenteuerge-
fühl nach Hause. Sie enthält alle grundlegenden Komponenten der weltweit beliebten Starklichtlampe,
welche mit Petroleum betrieben wird. Die Lampe ist aus Messing gefertigt und der Glaszylinder besteht
aus Borosilikatglas. Das mattierte Glas sorgt für stimmungsvolles Licht im eigenen Heim. Die Petromax
HK500 Elektroleuchte ist sowohl als Tischlampe als auch als Hängeleuchte erhältlich.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Bei Berührung und Betrieb des Produkts im Fehlerfall (qualmen, flackern, Knistergeräusche, sicht-
bare Beschädigung usw.) besteht Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag, Verbrennungsgefahr
oder Brandgefahr! Im Fehlerfall darf die Elektroleuchte daher keinesfalls weiter betrieben werden.
• Die Leuchte ist im Fehlerfall über den externen Lichtschalter oder durch Freischalten der Leitung
an der Sicherung sofort auszuschalten und darf erst nach Instandsetzung und Überprüfung durch
eine zugelassene Elektrofachkraft wieder in Betrieb genommen werden.
• Die Elektroleuchte ist nicht für die Verwendung im Freien bestimmt und darf nicht in der Nähe von
entzündlichen Materialien platziert werden.
• Die Elektroleuchte darf keinesfalls mit Tüchern oder anderen Materialien abgedeckt werden. Das
Abdecken der Leuchte führt zu einer Beeinträchtigung der Luftzirkulation, die zu einem Tempera-
turanstieg und damit zu Brandgefahr führen kann.
• Dekoration und andere Materialien dürfen nicht an der Elektroleuchte befestigt werden.
• Die Elektroleuchte darf nicht von Kindern und Personen bedient werden, die dessen Betriebsweise
nicht kennen.
• Während des Betriebs darf die heiße Oberfläche der Glühbirne nicht berührt werden, da sie sehr
heiß wird und somit Verbrennungsgefahr besteht.
• Beschädigte Kabel sind unverzüglich durch Fachpersonal auszutauschen.

• Leuchtmittel sind rechtzeitig vor dem Ende der Lebensdauer auszutauschen, um Schäden an Per-
sonen, der Leuchte oder anderen Gegenständen zu vermeiden.
• Es dürfen nur für die Leuchte zugelassene Leuchtmittel verwendet werden. Andere Leuchtmittel
können zu Brand-/Explosionsgefahr, zu einem Fehlerfall oder zu einer Fehlfunktion des Produktes
führen.
•
Modifizierungen oder Veränderungen an der Leuchte sind nicht zulässig, da sie zum Kurzschluss
oder zu einem elektrischen Schlag führen können.
Gebrauch
Die Petromax Elektroleuchte ist für die Beleuchtung in geschlossenen Räumen bestimmt. Sie ist nicht
für eine Verwendung im Freien geeignet. Die Elektroleuchte als Tischlampe ist auf einen kippfesten,
stabilen und ebenen Untergrund so zu platzieren, dass sie nicht umgekippt oder beschädigt werden
kann. Bei Verwendung der Leuchte als Hängeleuchte ist diese von einer zugelassenen Elektrofachkraft
ordnungsgemäß zu installieren. Bitte halte bei Platzierung der Tischleuchte bzw. bei Befestigung
der Hängeleuchte einen Sicherheitsabstand zu leicht entzündlichen Materialien und Gegenständen
(Vorhänge, Gardinen etc.) von mindestens 1 Meter ein.

Einbau / Austausch des Leuchtmittels
1. Elektroleuchte spannungsfrei schalten und abkühlen lassen, bevor das Leuchtmittel (Glühbirne)
ausgetauscht wird.
2. Die zwei Rändelschrauben links und rechts lösen und Haube abnehmen.
3. Gegebenenfalls das vorhandene Leuchtmittel vorsichtig gegen den Uhrzeigersinn aus der Fassung
drehen und anschließend das neue Leuchtmittel mit einem sauberen, trockenen Tuch im Uhrzei-
gersinn in die Fassung eindrehen. Beim Einsetzen des neuen Leuchtmittels darauf achten, dass am
Leuchtmittel keine Fremdkörper oder Flüssigkeiten haften.

Inbetriebnahme
Zur Inbetriebnahme den Netzstecker der Elektroleuchte in eine Steckdose des öffentlichen Stromversor-
gungsnetzes (230V ~ 50Hz-60Hz) stecken. Mit dem eingebauten Schalter am Kabel kann die Elektroleuchte
an- und ausgeschaltet werden.
Pflege und Wartung
• Vor der Reinigung oder Wartung bitte die Elektroleuchte spannungsfrei schalten.
• Die Oberflächen der Leuchten sind mit einem sauberen, trockenen Tuch zu reinigen. Dabei bitte
beachten, dass keine Feuchtigkeit in die Anschlussräume oder an stromführende Teile gelangt.
Entsorgung von Altgeräten
Die mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichneten Geräte unterliegen der europäischen Richtlinie 2002/96/EC. Alle
Elektro- und Elektronik- Altgeräte müssen getrennt vom Hausmüll über dafür staatlich vorgesehene Stellen
entsorgt werden. Mit der ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung des alten Gerätes vermeidest du Umweltschäden
und eine Gefährdung deiner Gesundheit. Weitere Informationen zur vorschriftsgemäßen Entsorgung des
alten Gerätes erhältst du bei deiner Stadtverwaltung oder beim Entsorgungsamt.
Gewährleistung
Bei sachgemäßem Gebrauch erhältst du auf deine Petromax Elektroleuchte eine Gewährleistung von
zwei Jahren ab Kaufdatum. Dies betrifft nicht die Verschleißteile. Funktioniert deine Elektroleuchte nicht
zufriedenstellend aufgrund von Schäden am Material oder Herstellungsmängeln, hast du Anspruch
auf Nachbesserung. Setze dich dazu mit deinem Händler in Verbindung.

the great features the Petromax Electric Lamp has to offer. With the electric version of the worldwide
popular high-pressure lamp, you can bring an atmosphere of adventure into your home. We hope that
you will enjoy your lamp, as it brings nostalgic flair to your home.
Important instructions
Please read and follow this user manual with safety instructions carefully before using your
Petromax Electric Lamp for the first time and keep it safe for future reference. If the Petromax
Electric Lamp is used by other people they must also be given this user manual.
Product description
The Petromax HK500 Electric Lamp was developed especially for interiors and brings a sense of adven-
ture into your home. It contains all the basic components of the worldwide popular high-pressure
lamp. The lamp is made of brass and the glass cylinder is made of borosilicate glass. The frosted glass
provides atmospheric light for your own home. The Petromax HK500 Electric Lamp is available as table
lamp as well as hanging lamp.
Safety instructions
• Do not touch or use the Electric Lamp if it is faulty or damaged (smoke, flickering light, crackling
sounds, visual damage, etc.). This may cause considerable problems for both health and safety. Risk
of fire / Risk of electrical shock! Do not use the Electric Lamp with a damaged cord or plug, or after
the Electric lamp malfunctions, or is dropped or appears damaged in any way.
• If the Electric lamp malfunctions, immediately switch off the Electric lamp by using the external
switch or the circuit breaker. Do not use the Electric lamp until it has been checked and repaired by
qualified service personnel.
• Do not use the Electric Lamp outdoors. Do not place any inflammable objects nearby.
• Do not cover the Electric Lamp with cloth, paper or other materials as this will cause a rise in tem-
perature due to poor air circulation and, consequently, will pose a fire hazard.
• Do not attach decorations and / or other materials to the Electric Lamp.

The Electric Lamp shall not be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensorial or mental
capacities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless appropriately instructed.
• Do not touch the bulb while the Electric Lamp is switched on to avoid injuries such as burns or irritations.
• Damaged cables are to be renewed by a qualified personel before further use.

• Light bulbs are to be replaced before their expected lifespan to prevent damage to the Electric
Lamp or injury to persons.
• Do not use light bulbs other than the ones specified. The Electric Lamp might not function properly
if other light bulbs are used, and / or it might cause damage to the Electric Lamp, serious injury to
persons, and / or explosions / fire.
• Additions or modifications to the Electric Lamp are not permitted as it can cause a shortcircuit and
may lead to serious accidents, hazards, and electrical shock.
Purpose
The Petromax Electric Lamp is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors. Position the lamp in
upward, vertical position and place it on a flat surface to ensure its stability during use. Keep a minimum
distance of 1 meter to all inflammable objects (curtains, net curtains, etc.) and objects sensitive to heat.

Installing / replacing the light bulb
1. Before installing / replacing the bulb, switch off the Electric Lamp and pull the plug. Allow the light
bulb and the Electric Lamp to cool down.
2. Remove the two knurled screws. Remove the hood.
3. If necessary, remove the old light bulb by turning it counterclockwise. Install the new light bulb by
turning it clockwise with a clean, dry cloth. Make sure that there are no foreign objects (e.g. dirt,
dust, fingerprints) and / or liquids on the surface of the light bulb.
Using the Electric Lamp
Plug the lamp into a wall socket (230V ~ 50Hz-60Hz). Use the cord switch to turn the lamp on or off.

Care and maintenance
• Before cleaning the Electric Lamp, always switch off and unplug it.
• Clean with a clean, dry cloth. Never immerse the Electric Lamp in water. Make sure that no water
enters the lamp housing, wiring space, or other electrical parts under voltage.
Disposal of old devices and parts
The European Directive 2002/96/EC applies to all devices or parts marked with this symbol. All electric
and electronic devices or parts must be disposed of separately from household waste at established
bodies. Avoid hazards to the environment and dangers to your health by disposing of the device or part
properly. Further information on proper disposal of the old device or part can be obtained from your local
municipal offices or the shop in which you bought the appliance.
Warranty
In the case of proper use, a warranty period of two years will apply to your Petromax Electric Lamp
from the date of purchase. This does not apply to wearing parts. If you cannot properly assemble the
Petromax Electric Lamp due to a defect in material or workmanship, you are entitled to a warranty
repair. Contact your retailer for that purpose.

Description du produit
La Lampe Petromax HK500 électrique a été développée spécialement pour l'intérieur et apporte un
sentiment d'aventure dans votre maison. Il contient tous les composants de base de la lampe à pression,
alimentée au pétrole, qui est apprécié dans le monde entier. La lampe est en laiton et le cylindre en verre

Consignes de sécurité

Dans le cas contraire, ils freineront la ventilation de la Lampe électrique et provoqueront une
surchauffe de la lampe. Risque de brûlure !
• Il est interdit de fixer des décorations ou d‘autres objets à la Lampe électrique.
• La Lampe électrique n’est prévue que pour l’usage par des personnes adultes. Tenir hors de portée
des enfants.

• Ne pas utiliser la Lampe électrique si le cordon d‘alimentation est endommagé. Un cordon endom-
magé doit être immédiatement remplacé par un technicien qualifié.
• Remplacer l‘ampoule avant la fin de sa durée de vie, afin d‘exclure tout risque de dommages à la
Lampe électrique, aux personnes et / ou à d‘autres objets.
•
N‘utiliser que des ampoules indiquées et destinées à ce type d‘éclairage. L‘utilisation d‘autres ampoules
peut entraîner un risque d‘électrocution, d‘incendie et / ou de dommage.
• Ne pas modifier la Lampe électrique. Le non-respect de cette consigne peut provoquer un courtcircuit
et / ou une électrocution. Danger de mort !
Utilisation
Utilisez la Lampe Petromax électrique uniquement dans des locaux fermés comme dispositif d‘éclairage.
Positionnez la lampe verticalement. Positionnez-la sur une surface plane et solide afin d‘éviter tout
risque de basculement et / ou de dommage. Respectez la distance de sécurité minimum (un mètre)
des matières inflammables (rideau, voilage, etc.) par rapport à la Lampe électrique.

Installer / Remplacer l'ampoule
1. Avant de remplacer / installer l‘ampoule, veillez à bien éteindre la Lampe électrique et déconnecter
le cordon d‘alimentation. Laisser refroidir complètement.
2. Desserrez les vis moletées. Puis, retirez le capot de la Lampe électrique.
3.
Si nécessaire, retirez l’ampoule en la tournant dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d‘une montre. Insérez
ensuite la nouvelle ampoule dans son logement par simple rotation dans le sens des aiguilles d‘une
montre. Utilisez un linge sec et propre pour cette opération ! Assurez-vous qu‘aucune saleté, ni aucun
résidu sur la surface de la nouvelle ampoule ne subsistent une fois l‘opération finie.

Mise en service
Branchez la fiche dans la prise de courant (230V ~ 50Hz-60Hz). Allumez ou éteignez la Lampe électrique
en utilisant l‘interrupteur marche-arrêt fixé au cordon d‘alimentation.
Entretien et maintenance
• Avant chaque nettoyage de la Lampe électrique, éteignez-la et débranchez la fiche de la prise.
• Nettoyez l‘extérieur de la lampe avec un linge propre et sec. Veillez à ne pas laisser entrer d‘eau ou
de liquides dans la Lampe électrique. La pénétration d‘eau ou de liquides dans la Lampe électrique
risque de provoquer un incendie ou un choc électrique.
Elimination
Ne pas jeter les appareils portant ce symbole avec les déchets ménagers ordinaires ! Conformément à la
directive européenne 2002/96/ CE, les appareils électriques doivent être collectés séparément et être soumis
à un recyclage respectueux de l’environnement. Un non-respect de cette directive UE peut avoir des effets
néfastes pour l’environnement et la santé ! Si nécessaire, informez-vous sur les systèmes de collecte ou
d’élimination locaux approuvés.
Garantie
La durée de garantie est de deux ans à compter de la date d’achat de votre Lampe Petromax électrique
dans le cadre d’une utilisation adéquate. Les pièces sujettes à usure n’entrent pas dans la garantie. Si la
Lampe Petromax électrique ne se monte pas correctement en raison de défauts de fabrication ou de
matériel, vous avez droit à une réparation. Pour cela, contactez votre commerçant.
