General Safety Rules
Read all these instructions before attempting to
operate your product. Save these instructions for future
reference.
1. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAR. Cluttered work areas
and benches invite injuries. Keep the oor area
around you level, well maintained and free from
loose materials, such as chips and excess stock.
2. CONSIDER WORK AREA ENVIRONMENT. Do
not expose tools to rain. Do not use tools in damp
or wet locations. Keep work area well lit. Do not use
tools in the presence of ammable liquids or gases.
3. GUARD AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK. Avoid
body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.

for purposes not intended; for example do not use
circular saws to cut tree limbs or logs.
8. DRESS PROPERLY. Do not wear loose clothing
or jewellery, they can be caught in moving parts.
Non-skid footwear is recommended when working
outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain
long hair.
9. USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Use safety
glasses. Use face or dust mask if cutting operations
create dust.
10. CONNECT DUST EXTRACTION EQUIPMENT.
If devices are provided for the connection of dust
extraction and collecting equipment, ensure these
are connected and properly used.
11. DO NOT ABUSE THE CABLE. Never pull the
cable to disconnect it from the socket. Keep the

Additional Safety Rules For
Drill Presses
1. This drill press is intended for use in dry conditions,
and for indoor use only.
2. Do not drill pieces of material too small to be
securely held.
3. Keep hands out of the path of drill bits. Avoid
awkward hand positions where a sudden slip could
cause your hand to move into the drill bit.
4. Do not install or use any drill bit that exceeds 175
mm in length or extends 150 mm below the chuck
jaws. They can suddenly bend outward or break.
5. Choose the right drill bits for your workpiece
materials. Do not use wire wheels, router bits,
shaper cutters, circle (y) cutters, or rotary planers
on this drill press.
6. When drilling a large piece of material make sure it
is fully supported at the table height.
7. Do not perform any operation freehand. Use jigs,
clamps, xtures or different tools for unstable work
pieces.
8. Do not drill the material too fast to avoid overloading
of the drill.
9. Make sure there are no nails or foreign objects in
the part of the workpiece to be drilled.
10. If the workpiece overhangs the table and will fall
or tip if not held, clamp it to the table or provide
auxiliary support.
11. When using a drill press vice, always fasten it to the
table.
12. Make sure all clamps and locks are rmly tightened
before drilling.
13. Do not perform layout assembly or set up work on
the table while the drill press is in operation.
14. Wear suitable personal protective equipment when
necessary, this could include:
- hearing protection to reduce the risk of induced
hearing loss;
- eye protection;
- respiratory protection to reduce the risk of
inhalation of harmful dust;
- gloves for handling drill bits (drill bits shall
be carried in a holder wherever practicable) and
rough material.
WARNING! For your own safety, do not try
to use your drill press or plug it in until it is
completely assembled and installed according
to the instructions, and until you have read and
understood this instruction manual.
15. Never use the drill press near ammable liquids,
vapors, or gases.
16. Remove all nails that may be in the workpiece to
prevent sparking that could cause a re.
17. To avoid re or toxic reaction, never use gasoline,
naphtha acetone, lacquer thinner or similar highly
volatile solvents to clean the drill press.

Function and elds of application
The drill press is in the range of professional machinery
for drilling wood, steel, aluminum and plastic. During
design and construction of this drill press in addition
to local standards and some relative standards for the
safety design have also been taken into account before
the application of certication.
Forbidden:
1. To prevent personal injury, the people who operate
this drill press must be trained until they know how
to operate it safely.
2. Under normal operating condition and with well
maintenance, it will be not necessary to renew many
components except those are consumptive.
3. The drill press could not be used in the potential
explosive environment. Generally, the drill press will
be installed on the following conditions:
(1) Supply voltage: 0.9 - 1.1 nominal supply voltage
(2) Source frequency: 0.99 - 1.01 nominal frequency
(3) Ambient temperature: 5oC - 40oC
(4) Relative humidity: not exceed 50% at 40oC
(Higher relative humidity may be permitted at
lower temperature, e.g. 90% at 20oC.)
(5) Atmosphere: Free from excessive dust, acid
fume, corrosive gases and salt.
(6) Avoid exposing to direct sunlight or heat
rays which can change the environmental
temperature.
(7) Avoid exposing to abnormal vibration.
(8) The limit of attitude: 0-1000 meters.
(9) Electrical equipment shall withstand the effects
of transportation and storage temperature within
a range of -25oC to 55oC.
