Connect each end of the power adapter to: 1
the DC input jack at the bottom of the base station;•
the power socket on the wall.•
Connect each end of the power adapter to (for multi-handset 2
packs):
the DC input jack at the bottom of the extra handset charger.•
the power socket on the wall.•
Connect each end of the line cord to: 3
the telephone socket at the bottom of the base station;•
the telephone socket on the wall.•

Install the handset
Charge 16 hours
The batteries are pre-installed in the handset. Pull the battery 1
tape off from the battery door before charging.
Place the handset on the base station to charge the handset. 2
When the handset is placed correctly on the base station, you
hear the docking sound.
The handset starts charging.»
NoteChargethebatteriesfor16hoursbeforerstuse.

Congure your phone (if necessary)
When you see the welcome message, press 1 [OK] .
Select your country, press 2 [SELECT] toconrm.
Set the date and time. 3
If the time is in 12-hour format, press»key to select [AM] or [PM] .
The phone is now ready to use.»
Check the battery level
When the handset is off the base station/charger, the icon
indicates the battery level:
Full (steady on) Medium(ashing) Low (empty)
When you see the empty battery icon and hear an alert tone from
the handset, the battery level is low and needs recharging.
When the handset is on the base station/charger, the
batteryiconkeepsashinguntilchargingcompletes.
When the charging completes, the battery icon keeps
steady on.

3Enjoy
Call
To make a call, press• and dial the phone number.
To answer a call, press• when the phone rings.
To end a call, press• .
Adjust the earpiece volume
Press or to adjust the volume during a call.
Add a contact in the phonebook
Press 1 MENU.
Select 2 [PHONEBOOK] > [NEW ENTRY] , then
press [OK] toconrm.
Enter the name then press 3 [OK] toconrm.
Enter the number, then press 4 [OK] toconrm.
Record an outgoing message
Press 1 MENU.
Select 2 [ANSWER MACHINE] > [RECORD OGM] ,
then press [SELECT] ,toconrm.
Select 3 [ANSWER & RECORD] or [ANSWER
ONLY] , then press [SELECT] toconrm.
Select 4 [RECORD OGM] , then press [SELECT] to
conrm.
Start recording close to the microphone after the beep. 5
Press 6 [OK] to stop recording.
You can listen to the newly recorded outgoing»
message.

Listen to messages recorded on the answering machine

Switch on/off the answering machine: Pressa .
Start/Stop listening to the recorded messages: Pressb 29.
Adjust the volume: Pressc + / –.
Skip backward:d
When you listen to the messages, press ¡to listen to the
message from the beginning.
Duringtherstsecondofthecurrentmessage,press¡ to listen
to the previous message.
Skip forward: Presse ™ to skip to the next message.
Delete the current message: Pressf X .
