3 Get started
Always follow the instructions in this chapter in
sequence.
Connect power
Caution
 Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power voltage
corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or
underside of the device.
 Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the power
adapter, always pull the plug from the socket. Never
pull the cord.
Connect the power adapter to:
 the rear socket of the docking system.
 the wall socket.
Adjust the brightness of
display panel
1 In standby mode, press CLOCK/NIGHT
LIGHT repeatedly to adjust the brightness
of display panel.
» The brightness of the time digits on
the display panel toggles between high,
medium and low level.
Adjust the brightness of night
light
1 Press .
» Bluetooth indication light on the
display panel begins to blink.
2 Press CLOCK/NIGHT LIGHT repeatedly
to adjust the brightness of the night light at
the bottom.
» The brightness of the night light toggles
between high level, normal level and
off mode.

Set clock
1 In standby mode, press and hold CLOCK/
NIGHT LIGHT for two seconds to
activate clock setting mode.
» The [24H] begins to blink.
2 Press +/- to set the 12/24 hour format.
3 Press CLOCK/NIGHT LIGHT
» The hour digitbegins to blink.
4 Repeat step 2 and 3 to set the hour and
minute.
» The set time is displayed.
Note
 When an Android phone is connected, the docking
system synchronizes time with the phone automatically.
Turn on
Press .
» The Bluetooth indication light on the display
panel begins to blink.
Switch to standby mode
Press again to switch the docking system to
standby mode.
» The Bluetooth indication light on the display
panel goes off.
Connect Bluetooth
1 Press to open Bluetooth on the device.
» The Bluetooth indication light begins
to blink.
2 Go to > [Wireless
>

3 Tab  to turn on
Bluetooth.
4 Tab .
» [PHILIPS AS111](PHILIPS AS111) is
displayed.
5 Tab [PHILIPS AS111] on the screen.
» When you hear the "Du-du" sound,
your phone and the device are
connected through Bluetooth.
» The shown time on the device is
synchronized with the phone.
Note
 After Bluetooth connection, you may play music on
your phone through the docking speaker.

Fidelio
Instrall Fidelio on your Anroid
phone
To enjoy more features, you are recommended
to download and install free software "Fidelio".
There are two ways to download "Fidelio".
Install "Fidelio" through QR code
Note
 Make sure that your phone is connected to the
internet.
 Make sure that your phone has a scanning software
application. If you don't have one, download one from
Andorid market.
1 Use the scanning software to scan the QR
code on the package.
2 Tab to start "Fidelio"
downloading.

» The system asks whether you want to
install Fidelio.

access search bar.

search for "Fidelio".

Install Songbird on your
Android phone
Songbird is one part of Fidelio application.You
are recommended to download and install free
software "Songbird".
Install songbird on your phone
1 Tab the Fidelio icon on the main screen to
open Fidelio application.
» You are requested to download

Fidelio application.

Install Songbird on your computer
Go to the website www.philips.com/songbird,
download the newest Songbird application and
install it on your computer.
Connect Android phone to
the docking system
To connect your Android phone to the docking

only needs to be done once.
Load the Android phone
1 Check the orientation of the micro USB
connector on the Android phone, and
rotate the Android dock connector on the
docking speaker if necessary.Then dock
your Android phone onto the device.

2 Slide the connector to the center of the
device.
3 Rotate the knob on both sides of the
connector to make the phone stable.
Note
 After your Android phone is loaded, the time on the
display panel is automatically synchronized to the time
on your phone.
Charge the Android phone
When the docking system is connected to
power, the docked Android phone starts
charging automatically.

Listen to internet radio
1 Connect your phone and the device
through bluetooth.
2 Open Fidelio application and go to the
main menu.
3 Tab  on the main menu.
4 Type in the radio station you desired in the
search bar.
5 Tab the desired radio station.
» Your desired radio station begin to
broadcast.
Set sleep timer
1 Open Fidelio application.

2 Tap the icon to access clock setting
Menu.
3 Tap [Sleep Timer](Sleep timer).
4 Select 10/15/20/30/45/60/90 min, then tap
[Start](Start).
Note
 Sleep timer only works with songbird.
Set alarm timer
1 Open Fidelio application.
2 Tap the icon to access clock setting
Menu.

3 Tap [Alarm settings](Alarm settings).
4 Tap 
5 Set the alarm time, and tap [Save](Save) on
the top right of the screen.
» The new alarm is saved and displayed
on the screen.
Tip
 You can set an alarm for your favorite outdoor sport

select your sport and preferred weather(excellent,
good, or fair).The alarm won't ring if the weather is not
good enough.
 You can go to [Sound](Sound), and select your favorite
music as your alarm sound.
Synchronize music from your
computer
Note
 Make sure that both your computer and phone are
installed with Songbird application.
1 Connect your phone with the computer.
Select [Managing device using Philips
Songbird](Managing device using Philips
.
» The songbird user interface is
displayed.
2 Check [Auto Sync Music](Auto Syn Music)
and [Sync all music and playlists](Sync all
music and playlists).

right of the interface.
» The music on your computer is
synchronized into your phone.

 When you phone is connected to this computer next
time, synchronization happens automatically.
