Important
◗Make sure the appliance and the cord do not get
wet.
◗Use only the supplied cord.
The display
The display provides the following information:
C◗Charging
As soon as you start charging the empty shaver, the
‘20’ section on the display starts blinking. As charging
continues, more and more sections will start blinking
to indicate to what level the batteries have been
charged.
C◗Batteries fully charged
When the batteries have been fully charged, the
light turns green, starts blinking and the word ‘FULL’
appears in the display.
◗Remaining shaving capacity
The number on the display (percentage) indicates
how much power there is approx. left in the
batteries. A fully charged shaver has a cordless
shaving time up to 70 minutes.
C◗Batteries running low
If the batteries are running low, the ‘20’ section on
the display starts blinking and the light near the cord
inlet becomes red.

Charging
Recharge and keep the appliance at a temperature
between 5° and 35°C.
The appliance is suitable for mains voltages ranging
from 100 to 240 V.
You can also shave without charging by connecting
the shaver to the mains.
Do not leave the shaver connected to the
mains continuously.
C1Put the appliance plug into the shaver.
2Put the mains plug into the socket.
Do not recharge the shaver in a closed pouch.
3When charging for the first time or after a
long period of disuse: leave the shaver to
charge for 4 hours.
Charging normally takes approx. 1 hour.
4Remove the mains plug from the socket and
disconnect the appliance plug from the
shaver as soon as the batteries have been
fully charged.
Shaving
1Switch the appliance on by pressing the
on/off button once.
C2Move the shaving heads quickly over the
skin.
Make both straight and circular movements.
Shaving on dry skin gives the best results.

Your skin may need 2 - 3 weeks to get accustomed
to this Philishave system.
3Switch the appliance off by pressing the
on/off button once.
C4Put the protection cap on the shaver to
prevent damage.
Replace the shaving heads (type HQ 5 Reflex
Action) every 2 years for optimal shaving results.
Trimmer
For grooming sideburns and moustache.
C1Open the trimmer by pushing the slide
upwards.
The trimmer can be activated while the motor is
running.
Cleaning
◗Regular cleaning guarantees better shaving results.
C◗For easy and optimal cleaning, the Philishave
Action Clean (shaving head cleaner, type HQ
100) is available.
Ask your Philishave dealer for information.
You can also clean the shaver in the following way:

Every week: shaving unit
1Switch the appliance off, remove the mains
plug from the socket and disconnect the
appliance plug from the shaver.
C2Clean the top of the appliance with the
supplied brush.
C3Press the release button and remove the
shaving unit.
C4Clean the shaving unit and the hair chamber
with the brush.
C5Put the shaving unit back onto the shaver.
Every two months: shaving heads
1Switch the appliance off, remove the mains
plug from the socket and disconnect the
appliance plug from the shaver.
C2Press the release button and remove the
shaving unit from the shaver.

C3Turn the wheel anticlockwise and remove
the retaining frame.
C4Remove and clean the shaving heads (cutter
and guard) one by one.
Do not mix up the cutters and the guards.
This is essential since grinding of the cutters in the
guards only ensures optimal performance for each
individual set. If you accidentally mix the sets up, it
could take several weeks before optimal shaving
performance is restored.
C5Clean the cutter with the short-bristled side
of the brush.
Brush carefully in the direction of the arrow.
C6Brush the guard.
If necessary, you can clean the shaving unit with a
degreasing liquid (e.g. alcohol). Remember to
lubricate the central point of the guards with a drop
of sewing machine oil after cleaning.
C7Reassemble the shaving unit: press the wheel
and turn it clockwise.
8Place the shaving unit back onto the shaver.

Trimmer
1Switch the appliance off, remove the mains
plug from the socket and disconnect the
appliance plug from the shaver.
2Clean the trimmer with the brush every time
you have used it.
3Lubricate the trimmer teeth with a drop of
sewing machine oil every six months.
Disposal of batteries
Remove the batteries when you discard the
appliance. Do not throw the batteries away with the
normal household waste, but hand them in at an
official collection point. You can also take the
batteries to a Philips Service Centre, which will
dispose of them in an environmentally safe way.
Only remove the batteries if they are completely
empty.
1Remove the mains plug from the socket and
disconnect the appliance plug from the
shaver.
C2Let the shaver run until it stops, undo the
screws and open the shaver.
3Remove the batteries.
The shaver may not be connected to the mains
again after the batteries have been removed.

La fenêtre d'affichage
La fenêtre d'affichage donne les informations
suivantes:
C◗Charge
Dès que vous commencez à charger le rasoir
déchargé, le segment 20' commence à clignoter
dans la fenêtre d'affichage. Lorsque la charge se
poursuit, de plus en plus de segments se mettent à
clignoter pour indiquer le niveau de charge atteint
par les accus.
C◗Accus entièrement chargés
Lorsque les accus sont complètement chargés, la
lampe devient verte, se met à clignoter et le mot
"FULL" apparaît dans la fenêtre d'affichage.
◗Capacité restante
Le nombre dans la fenêtre d'affichage (pourcentage)
indique de manière approximative la capacité
restante des accus. Un rasoir complètement chargé
offre une autonomie de rasage sans fil allant jusqu'à
environ 70 minutes.

C◗Accus déchargés
Si les accus sont déchargés, le segment 20' de la
fenêtre d'affichage se met à clignoter et la lampe
située près de l'orifice pour le cordon d'alimentation
devient rouge.
Mise en charge
Chargez et maintenez l'appareil à une température
comprise entre 5°C et 35°C.
La fiche convient pour les tensions entre 100 et 240
volts.
Vous pouvez également vous raser directement sans
charger préalablement l'appareil en raccordant
directement l'appareil à la tension du réseau.
Ne laissez cependant jamais l'appareil raccordé en
permanence à la tension du réseau.
C1Enfoncez la fiche de l'appareil dans le rasoir.
2Insérez la fiche secteur dans la prise de
courant.
Ne chargez pas l'appareil dans un étui fermé.
3Lorsque vous chargez l'appareil pour la
première fois, ou si l'appareil n'a pas été
utilisépendant une longue période, chargez-
le pendant 4 heures d'affilée.
La charge dure normalement environ 1 heure.
4Enlevez la fiche secteur de la prise de
courant et tirez du rasoir la fiche de
l'appareil dès que les accus sont
complètement chargés.

Rasage
1Enclenchez l'appareil en faisant glisser le
bouton marche/arrêt vers le haut.
C2Déplacez les têtes de coupe rapidement sur
la peau. Faites àla fois des mouvements
droits et des mouvements tournants.
Le meilleur résultat s'obtient sur une peau sèche.
Votre peau peut avoir besoin de 2-3 semaines pour
s'habituer à ce système de coupe Philishave.
3Mettez l'appareil hors service en appuyant
une fois sur le bouton marche/arrêt.
C4Employez le capot de protection pour éviter
les détériorations.
Remplacez les têtes de coupe (type HQ 5 Reflex
Action) tous les 2 ans pour obtenir des résultats de
rasage optimaux.
Tondeuse
Pour tailler les favoris et la moustache.
C1Dégagez la tondeuse en faisant glisser
l'interrupteur coulissant vers le haut.
Vous pouvez enclencher la tondeuse pendant que le
moteur tourne.
Nettoyage
◗Nettoyez régulièrement l'appareil pour obtenir de
meilleurs résultats de rasage.
