Warning – Seizures

• Playing video games can make your muscles, joints or skin hurt after a few
hours. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as Tendonitis, Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome or skin irritation:
Take a 10 – 15 minute break every hour, even if you don’t think you need it.
If your hands, wrist or arms become tired or sore while playing, stop and rest
them for several hours before playing again.
If you continue to have sore hands, wrists or arms during or after play, stop
playing and see a doctor.
Caution – Motion Sickness
• Playing video games can cause motion sickness. If you or your child feels dizzy
or nauseous when playing video games with this headphone, stop playing and
rest. Do not drive or engage in other demanding activity until you feel better.
• Continuous use at full output might damage hearing.

Introduction

Important information
Please read the following instructions carefully, and retain this booklet for future
reference. All safety and operating instructions should be read before using the
FM wireless headphone system.
Safety precautions
• Prevent fire or shock hazard: do not expose this equipment to humidity, rain,
sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight.
• Radio equipment for wireless audio applications is not protected against
disturbance from other radio services.
• Do not use cleansing agents containing alcohol, spirits, ammonia or abrasives as
they may harm the housing. Use a slightly dampened chamois cloth to clean the
housing.
• If fluid spills into the headphone system, remove the batteries immediately and
consult an authorized dealer.
• Do not use this product in damp places or close to water.
• Do not expose this product to extreme heat or direct sunlight.
• Do not disassemble the product. In the event of technical difficulties, take it to
your Philips retailer.
• Do not cover this product
• Inadequately protected or sensitive electronic equipment may be affected by
the use of this product.This interference may lead to damage to either
equipment. Please check whether or not surrounding equipment may be
affected by this product before you start using it.
•Hearing Safety! Continuous use at high volume may permanently damage

Getting your FM wireless gaming headphone system ready
IMPORTANT!
• Use only Philips SBC CS030/00 (/05 for UK, Ireland) 12V/200mA AC/DC
adapter.
• Use only Philips’ shortened sleeve rechargeable battery NiMH
(AAA, tyepnumber: SBC HB700)
• Do not use NiCd batteries or alkaline batteries as they may damage
your FM wireless headphone system.

Installing/ replacing batteries
Open the battery compartment door located on the left ear shell.
Insert 2 pieces of rechargeable batteries (Philips NiMH,AAA, SBC HB700)
Make sure the battery is correctly inserted as indicated by the engraved
polarity symbol in the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment door.
Power up the Transmitter
Make sure the adapter’s rated voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds
to the mains voltage supply.
Connect the DC power output connector of the 12 Volt/ 200mA AC/DC
adapter to the DC POWER INPUT jack at the back of the transmitter.
Connect the 12 Volt/200mA AC/DC adapter to the mains socket.
Always remove the adapter from the mains socket if the transmitter will not
be used for a period of time.
Charging the headphone
Place the headphone on the transmitter station (will also be referred to as the
“energizing docking station” in the following texts).
Make sure the charging contacts on the bottom of the left ear shell are well
aligned with the charging pins of the docking station.
The CHARGING INDICATION on front of the docking station will be
illuminated in green, and will be turned off automatically at the end of the
charging cycle.
IMPORTANT!
• Make sure you switch off the headphone before charging.
• Before using the FM gaming headphone for the first time, please
ensure that the battery is fully charged for at least 16 hours.This will
guarantee a longer operating life time of battery.
• This product complies with the latest safety regulations. Please only
charge the battery with the docking station provided, or with fully
compatible charger.

Audio Connection
Option 1: RCA – RCA connection
Connect one end of the cable to the RCA jack of the gaming device (or any
audio source)
Connect the other end of the cable to the RCA Audio Input at the back of
the transmitter.
• Check if the red RCA plug (right channel) is connected to the right
channel (red) of the audio source.
• Check if the white RCA plug (left channel) is connected to the left
channel (white) of the audio source.
Option 2: RCA – 3.5 Audio Connection
Connect the 3.5mm end of the RCA - 3.5mm cable to your gaming device (or
any audio source)
Connect the RCA end of the cable to the RCA Audio Input at the back of the
transmitter.
• Check if the red RCA plug (right channel) is connected to the right channel
(red) of the audio source.
• Check if the white RCA plug (left channel) is connected to the left channel
(white) of the audio source.
OPTIONAL – Automatic Audio Signal Routing (AASR)
Take the RCA audio cable, which is most likely came with your gaming device
or audio source.
Connect one side of this 2nd RCA audio cable (not included) to the audio
input of your amplifier or home cinema receiver.
Then connect the other end to the RCA Audio Output at the back of the
SHG8100 transmitter station.
The Automatic Audio Signal Routing (AASR) feature of the SHG8100
transmitter station allows for gaming devices/ audio sources to be connected
to SHG8100, and at the same time it can pass those same signals on to – for
example – your Home Cinema receiver. This allows for permanent audio
connections to be made without the need for swapping cables. Whether you
want to listen to your wireless gaming headphone, or your existing speaker
set-up, it no longer involves tiresome swapping of cables!

Using your FM Wireless Gaming Headphone System
Select one of the three transmission channels provided at the back of the
transmitter station.
We recommend you to select channel one as your first option.
Switch on your audio source and carefully increase the volume of the audio
source.
The POWER INDICATION on front of the transmitter station will be
illuminated in red when signals are received.
Switch on the Power of the headphone.
The POWER STATUS LIGHT under the POWER switch will be illuminated in
red automatically.
Press and hold the AUTO TUNING button for about 1 second to tune to the
correct transmission channel.
The headphone will automatically be tuned to the transmitter.
In case interference from neighbouring transmitters has occurred, adjust the
transmission channel of the transmitter station, then repeat step 20 to tune
the headphone.
Adjust the volume to your desired listening level.
IMPORTANT!
• Avoid adjusting the listening volume level at the audio source as this
may compromise the audio quality on too low input levels.
To enhance the gaming experience, turn on the Sonic Vibes System (SVS)
Depending on personal preference, you may select between Vibration Level I
and II.

To enjoy sound enhancement, turn on the SRS surround sound.
When battery is running low, the power status light will flash for
approximately 1 minute, reminding you to recharge the headphone.
At the same time, the headphone will be muted automatically to avoid
poor sound quality.

Problem solving
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below. If you are unable to remedy a
problem by following these hints, contact the helpline
(see ‘Need help?’) or consult your dealer.
Never try to open the set yourself as this will void the guarantee.
First, check all cables to ensure that they are connected correctly.

No sound / Headphone power off Switch on the POWER button of the
distorted sound headphone.The POWER STATUS light

headphone jack output level can only be
adjusted after accessing the TV on-screen
menu.

Important : Informations relatives à la sécurité
Attention – Convulsions
• Certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à des convulsions ou des troubles

• Il est recommandé aux personnes ayant déjà convulsé, perdu conscience ou
connu des symptômes propres aux crises épileptiques, de consulter un
médecin avant de jouer à un jeu vidéo.

Veuillez lire ces instructions attentivement et conserver ce manuel pour pouvoir
vous y référer ultérieurement. Il convient de prendre connaissance de toutes les

Consignes de sécurité
• Pour éviter tout risque d’incendie ou de choc électrique, n’exposez pas cet
équipement à l’humidité, à la pluie, au sable ou à des températures excessives
(radiateur, chauffage ou rayons directs du soleil).
• La partie radio assurant les applications audio sans fil n’est pas protégée contre
les perturbations pouvant émaner d’autres services radio.
• N’utilisez pas de produit de nettoyage contenant de l’alcool, de l’ammoniaque ou
un abrasif, faute de quoi vous pourriez endommager les surfaces extérieures de
l’équipement. Utilisez une peau de chamois légèrement humide pour nettoyer les
surfaces extérieures de l’équipement.

Préparation du casque sans fil FM pour jeux vidéo
IMPORTANT !
• Utilisez uniquement un adaptateur c.a.-c.c. Philips SBC CS030/00
(/05 pour le Royaume-Uni et l’Irlande) 12 V / 200 mA.
• Utilisez exclusivement des piles rechargeables NiMH à enveloppe réduite
Philips (AAA, modèle SBC HB700).
• N’utilisez pas de piles NiCd ou alcalines, car elles pourraient
endommager le système.

Installation et remplacement des piles
Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment des piles de l'écouteur gauche du
casque.
Introduisez deux piles rechargeables (Philips NiMH,AAA, SBC HB700).
Vérifiez le sens des piles en vous référant aux symboles de polarité gravés
dans le compartiment.
Replacez le couvercle du compartiment des piles.
Mise sous tension de l’émetteur
Assurez-vous que la tension nominale de l’adaptateur indiquée sur la plaque
signalétique correspond à la tension de l’alimentation secteur.
Raccordez le connecteur de sortie d’alimentation c.c. de l’adaptateur de
courant 12 volts / 200 mA à la prise c.c. DC POWER INPUT à l’arrière de
l’émetteur.
Raccordez l’adaptateur 12 volts / 200 mA à une prise de courant.
Débranchez toujours l’adaptateur de la prise de courant si l’émetteur ne doit
pas être utilisé pendant un certain temps.
Charge du casque
Posez le casque sur l'émetteur (appelé aussi « station d’accueil active »
ci-dessous).
Assurez-vous que les contacts de charge au bas de l'écouteur gauche sont
bien alignés sur les broches de charge de la station d’accueil.
Le témoin de charge CHARGING INDICATION à l’avant de la station d’ac-
cueil s’allume en vert et s’éteint automatiquement à la fin du cycle de charge.
IMPORTANT !
• Veillez à éteindre le casque avant de le charger.
• Avant la première utilisation du casque FM pour jeux vidéo, veillez à
charger les piles complètement, c'est-à-dire pendant au moins 16
heures pour leur garantir une durée de vie optimale.
• Ce produit est conforme aux normes de sécurité les plus récentes.
Chargez les piles exclusivement avec la station d’accueil fournie ou
avec un chargeur parfaitement compatible.

Raccordement audio
Option 1 : raccordement Cinch – Cinch (RCA-RCA)
Raccordez une extrémitédu câble àla prise Cinch de la console de jeu (ou de
toute source audio).
Raccordez l’autre extrémitédu câble àl'entrée audio Cinch àl'arrière de
l'émetteur.
•Vérifiez si la fiche Cinch rouge (canal droit) est raccordée au canal droit
(rouge) de la source audio.
•Vérifiez si la fiche Cinch blanche (canal gauche) est raccordée au canal
gauche (blanc) de la source audio.
Option 2 : raccordement Cinch – miniprise 3,5 mm (RCA-3,5)
Raccordez la minifiche 3,5 mm du câble Cinch-3,5 mm àla console de jeu (ou
àtoute source audio).
Raccordez l’extrémitéCinch du câble àl'entrée audio Cinch àl'arrière de
l'émetteur.
•Vérifiez si la fiche Cinch rouge (canal droit) est raccordée au canal droit

OPTION – acheminement automatique des signaux
audio (AASR)
Prenez le câble audio Cinch fourni avec la console de jeu ou la source audio.
Raccordez une extrémitéde ce deuxième câble audio Cinch àl'entrée audio
de l'amplificateur ou du système audio-vidéo intégré.
Raccordez ensuite l'autre extrémitéàla sortie audio Cinch àl'arrière de
l'émetteur SHG8100.
La fonction d'acheminement automatique des signaux audio AASR de l'émet-
teur SHG8100 permet de raccorder des consoles de jeu ou des sources audio
au système SHG8100 et de transmettre simultanément les signaux de ces
appareils àun amplificateur ou àun système audio-vidéo.Vous pouvez ainsi
raccorder vos différents appareils de manière permanente et utiliser le casque
sans fil ou votre chaîne audio indifféremment, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de
changer les raccordements !

Utilisation du système casque sans fil FM pour jeux
vidéo
Sélectionnez un des trois canaux de transmission possibles àl’arrière de
l’émetteur.
Nous vous recommandons de commencer par essayer le premier canal.
Allumez la source audio et augmentez précautionneusement le volume de la
source.
Le témoin d’alimentation POWER INDICATION à l’avant de l’émetteur s’allume
en rouge lorsque la station reçoit des signaux.
Actionnez le commutateur POWER du casque.
Le témoin de marche POWER STATUS LIGHT sous le commutateur POWER
s'allume automatiquement en rouge.
Enfoncez le bouton de syntonisation automatique AUTO TUNING pendant
environ 1 seconde pour régler le canal de transmission approprié.
Le casque se cale automatiquement sur la fréquence utilisée par l’émetteur.
Si des interférences avec des émetteurs àproximitése produisent, choisissez
un autre canal de transmission sur l’émetteur, puis répétez l’étape 20 pour
régler le casque.
Réglez le volume au niveau d’écoute approprié.
IMPORTANT !
• Évitez de régler le volume d’écoute sur la source audio, car un tel
réglage peut compromettre la qualité audio lorsque les niveaux
d’entrée sont trop faibles.
Pour renforcer les sensations du jeu, activez la fonction Sonic Vibes System
(SVS).
Vous pouvez choisir entre le niveau de vibration I et II en fonction de vos
préférences.

Pour bénéficier des fonctions d’amélioration du son, activez le son ambio-
phonique SRS.
Lorsque les piles s’épuisent, le témoin POWER STATUS clignote pendant
environ 1 minute pour vous rappeler de recharger le casque. Simultanément,
le son du casque est automatiquement coupépour éviter de diffuser un son
de mauvaise qualité.

deur.
N’essayez en aucun cas d’ouvrir un élément quelconque du système vous-
même, cela aurait pour effet d’annuler la garantie.
Vérifiez d’abord tous les câbles pour vous assurer qu’ils sont raccordés
correctement.
