Personal Protecve Equipment including suitable protecve clothing, footwear, plus: Always use ;
Suitable eye protecon to protect against chemicals from irritang eyes.
Suitable gloves to help prevent any contact with chemicals. Do not use gloves which can
become entangled.
Suitable respirator to prevent any dust or fumes being inhaled or consumed, which could
cause occupaonal asthma or dermas.

SAFETY INFORMATION
Safety Symbols Safety symbols are used throughout this manual to draw aenon to potenal hazards.
Danger risk of serious injury, follow instrucons.
Only use the machine for its intended purpose. Do not put any body parts or foreign
materials in contact with the sucon hoses.
Always wear suitable ear protecon when using the Picote Vacuum Pump to prevent any
hearing loss.
1. Always wear eye and chemical resistant gloves.
Other personal protecve equipment, such as dust mask, gloves and overalls should be
worn when necessary. Do not wear loose clothing when using the machine. Always wear
appropriate personal protecve equipment.
2. Always ensure that the machine is fully turned o before inspecon, maintenance, or installing any accessories to
the machine. Always follow the instrucons in the manufacturer’s manual.
3. Before each use inspect the machine carefully for any potenal break or damage. Change damaged parts
immediately.
4. When in use, it is very important that the machine is stable and on an even surface at all mes.
5. Never leave the machine running unaended.
6. Do not sit or stand on the case.
7. Only use this machine with the accessories and spare parts oered by the Picote Soluons. Accessories and spare
parts should only be used in the manner intended and as described by Picote Soluons.

TRANSPORT
The Vacuum Pump should be transported laid down secured with ratchet straps to prevent any sudden movements or
accidents caused by hard braking or accident. Always use a suitable cover to protect the unit from the elements.
STORAGE
The Vacuum Pump should be stored indoors to protect it from rain and sunlight and somewhere with a constant ambient
temperature. The best way to store the machine is to use the box that the unit was shipped in.
If the machine has been stored in an environment colder than +10 oC or +50 oF, the machine should be stood at room
temperature for 24 hours before use.
If the machine has been stored for long periods of me (over 2-3 months), it should be checked and tested according to
the maintenance programme before use.
Charge the machine baery to around 80% capacity before storing for long periods. Do not store the machine with low
baery.
NEVER leave the unit unaended while it is charging.
DISPOSAL
Vacuum pump motor, baery charger and electric wires, can be disposed of in Europe at Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE) collecon points.
The upper and boom plate along with their stands can be recycled in metal waste collecon points. The case can be
disposed of as plasc waste.
Always follow local waste handling rules and regulaons.
Recycle Li-ion baeries according to local regulaons.
Do not dispose of in re! Do not puncture!

Starng & using the machine:
Before operaon:
Whilst aaching the sucon cup to the hose, always make sure that the machine is fully
turned o and the baery charger unplugged.
While in operaon: Always lay the pump down horizontally on the oor. Do not sit or stand
on the case. Always keep the lid open while operang the vacuum pump.

The machine is supplied with two sucon cups. Use the smaller one for DN50/2” & DN70/3” and the large sucon cup for
DN100/4” and above.
1. To turn on the pump, use the power switch. The machine starts automacally.
2. Charge the machine by connecng the charger to charging inlet. Machine can be charged with power switch in
ON or OFF posion.

MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME & WARRANTY PERIODS
1. Before performing any maintenance always check that the vacuum pump is fully turned o.
2. Clean the sucon cup lters. The lter can be seen inside the sucon cups and they prevent big parcles going
inside the pump. Sand, liner pieces or other objects can damage the pump motor and lower performance. They
should be removed as soon as possible (weekly check).
3. Clean the ne parcle lter. The lter lters out ne parcles. The lter cup also prevents small amounts of resin
going inside the pump. (weekly check).
TIGHTENING THE RUBBER FEET:
Do not pour or spray water on the machine! Use a damp cloth to clean the surfaces.
CLEANING THE VACUUM PUMP:
The rubber feet on the boom of the vacuum pump need to be checked periodically. Tighten them by turning
them clockwise. The feet also secure the pump assembly to the casing and can be removed for maintenance if
required.
CLEANING THE FILTER CUP:
Open the lter cap and vacuum the cup. Put the cap back on while making sure the rubber seal is at the boom of
the cap. If the rubber seal is not correctly installed, the vacuum pump might leak.

WARRANTY POLICY & PROCEDURE
Limited Warranty:
Picote warrants to the original End User that the Product purchased by such End User will operate in
accordance with, and substanally conform to their published specicaons when shipped or otherwise
delivered to the End User and for a period of one (1) year, except electric motors and baeries for which the
warranty period shall be six (6) months, provided, however, that Picote does not warrant any claim or
damage under this Warranty if such claim or damage results from:
1. Consumable parts or normal wear and tear resulng from use of the Products,
2. Product overload or overheated motor,
3. Regular periodic maintenance of Products,
4. Misuse, neglect, or improper installaon or maintenance of the Products, or use of Products
not for their intended purpose,
5. Products that have been altered, modied, repaired, opened or tampered with by anyone
other than Picote or an authorized Picote Service Centre, or unsuitable or unauthorized spare
parts, accessories or third party products when using the Products or;
6. the use of the Products not in compliance with their respecve Documentaon, user manuals,
safety and maintenance instrucons, and any usage restricons contained therein, or
7. accident, re, power failure, power surge, or other hazard.
Otherwise, the Products are sold AS IS. End User is responsible for using the Products within
their specicaons and instrucons as contained in the Documentaon.
EXCEPT AS SPECIFIED IN THIS WARRANTY, ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS,
REPRESENTATIONS, AND WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR
CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON INFRINGEMENT,
