WARNING:

WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, please proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must
be connected to the terminal marked [N] or
coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L]
or coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or
the blue wire be connected to the [EARTH]
terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be fitted with a fuse of the
same rating already fitted and conforming to
BS 1362 and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician who
will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use
an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS
1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who
will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect
it from the mains – and then cut it off of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a
safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug
or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a
danger of an electric shock.

of an extension cord as it may
overheat and cause a risk of
fire. However, if you have to
use an extension cord, the
cord should be No: 14 AWG
minimum size and rated not
less than 1875 watts, and has
to be used only for supplying
power to this fan.
• Never insert your fingers,
pencils or other objects
through the cage during
operation.
• The fan should be set up on
a stable and level surface to
avoid it being knocked over.
• DO NOT expose the fan to
excessive heat or humidity as
this can cause damage to the
electrical components.
• The fan should be kept out of
the reach of children.
• In the unlikely event the
appliance develops a fault,
stop using it immediately
and seek advice from the
Customer Support Team.

Before your first use:
1. Remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Remove the cable tie and unravel the power cord.
3. Assembling the fan base as instructed
4. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

Assembling The Fan Base:
1. To assemble the fan base, begin by
turning your fan upside down.
2. Place each of the two halves of the base
to either side of the power cord holder,
taking care to ensure they are correctly
lined up, and that the power cord does
not become trapped between them.
3. Once both halves of the base have been
correctly placed, lock them together by
sliding each of the slots on one side of
the base into their corresponding holes
on the other side until they click into
place.
4. When the two halves have been
connected, thread the power cord
through the two power cord hooks until
it is firmly secured into place.
5. Once the steps above have been
followed, place the two wingnut screws
into each of the two holes at the centre
of the fan base and twist them clockwise
to tighten.
6. When all of the above assembly steps
have been carried out, turn the fan back
upright.
7. The fan is now ready for normal use.

Installing The Batteries:
To install the batteries, first detach the locking
latch from the remote. To do this, place your
finger on the recessed notch located beside
the latch and slide it to the right, while
simultaneously pulling the latch out from the
body of the remote.
When the latch has been separated from the
main body, remove the used battery from its
holder and replace it with a new one. When
installing the battery, take care to ensure the
positive polarity is facing upwards.
Once you have replaced the batteries, slide
the locking hatch back into the remote. It will
automatically lock into place and secure the
battery inside.

Using your appliance:
Turning the Appliance On and Off :
To turn your appliance on, press the On/Speed
button on the remote control or the unit’s
control panel. The ‘Power’ indicator on the
indicator panel will light up to show the unit
is on. You will hear a sound to indicate the fan
has been turned on.
To turn the appliance off, press the Off button
on the remote control or the unit’s control
panel.
The ‘Power’ indicator on the indicator panel
will go off. You will hear a sound to indicate
the fan is turned off.
Selecting Your Speed:
This fan is equipped with a choice of 3 speeds:
Low, Medium and High.
To cycle through the available speeds, press
the ‘Speed’ button on the remote control or
the unit’s control panel. The corresponding
indicator on the indicator panel will light up
and you will hear a sound to show each speed
has been selected.
Turning Oscillation On and Off:
This fan is equipped with an 80-degree
oscillation function.
To turn oscillation on or off, press the Swing
button on the remote control or the unit’s
control panel. The corresponding indicator on
the indicator panel will light up and you will
hear a sound to show this function has been
selected.
Mode Selection:
This fan is equipped with a choice of 3 cooling
modes: normal/daytime mode, natural wind
mode and sleep mode.
In normal mode, you can set the speed
manually, and the fan will operate
continuously at the selected speed until it is
turned off, the pre-set cooling cycle ends or a
different mode is selected.
In natural wind mode, the fan will operate as
follows:
• If High speed is selected, the fan will
cycle between its three available speeds,
in order from High to Medium to Low,
until the end of the pre-set cycle or until
turned off.
• If Medium speed is selected, the fan will
cycle between its three available speeds
in order from Low to Medium to High,
until the end of the pre-set cycle or until
turned off
• If Low speed is selected, the fan will
operate at Low speed until the end of the
pre-set cycle or until turned off.
In sleep mode, the fan will operate as follows:
• If High speed is selected, the fan will run
the High speed natural wind cycle (as
described above) for 30 minutes, then
the Medium speed natural wind cycle (as
described above) for 30 minutes, then
the Low speed natural wind cycle (as
described above) for the remainder of the
pre-programmed cycle or until turned off.
Note:
The ioniser function is automatically
activated whenever the fan is turned on
and a speed is selected. This function
cannot be manually turned on or off.
Note:
When the Off button is pressed, the fan
will return to its default position from any
setting.
When first plugging the fan onto the
mains, you will hear two short beeping
sounds to indicate it is connected.

• If Medium speed is selected, the fan will
run the Medium speed natural wind cycle
(as described above) for 30 minutes, then
the Low speed natural wind cycle (as
described above) for the remainder of the
pre-programmed cycle or until turned off.
• If Low speed is selected, the fan will
operate the Low speed natural wind cycle
until the end of the pre-set cycle or until
turned off.
Setting the Timer:
You can pre-set this fan to operate for a period
of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. To program a pre-set
operating time, repeatedly press the Timer
button until you have reached your desired
time. The corresponding indicators will light up
and you will hear a sound to show that each
pre-set time period has been selected.
• 1 hour timer: the ‘1H’ indicator will light up.
• 2 hour timer: the ‘2H’ indicator will light up.
• 4 hour timer: the ‘4H’ indicator will light up.
• 8 hour timer: the ‘8H’ indicator will light up.
Cleaning and Care:
• Before cleaning always switch off the
appliance and remove the plug from the
electrical socket.
• To clean the outside of the fan, use a soft,
damp cloth and white soap. Use a dry cloth
to polish it if desired.
• You can use a low-power vacuum cleaner
to clean the rotor, if necessary. To do so,
first use a screwdriver to loosen the grid at
the back of the fan. Remove the grid and
gently run the vacuum cleaner over the
rotor, on a low power setting. Once you
have cleaned the rotor, replace the back
grid and secure it into place by tightening
the screw.
• Never use any abrasive cleaning materials
to clean the fan.
• When not in use, store the fan (preferably
in its original box) in a cool, clean and dry
location.
Note:
Take care to ensure the back grid is firmly
secured before attempting to use or store
the device.
WARNING!
Do not allow water or any other liquid
into the motor housing or any of the inner
components, as this could cause damage
to the unit.
Note:
Always unplug the unit from the mains
before cleaning.
Clean the unit regularly to ensure optimal
performance.
