WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated.
Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.
WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, please proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fing Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must
be connected to the terminal marked [N] or
coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L]
or coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or
the blue wire be connected to the [EARTH]
terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be fitted with a fuse of the
same rating already fitted and conforming to
BS 1362 and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician who
will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use
an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS
1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who
will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect
it from the mains – and then cut it off of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a
safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug
or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a
danger of an electric shock.

Before your first use:
1. Remove the unit from the packaging.
2. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

Using your appliance:
Turning the Appliance ON/OFF:
1. To turn your appliance on, first plug it
into a mains outlet, ensuring the socket
switch is turned to the ON position.
2. Once the unit has been plugged in, move
the control dial to any position other than
‘Off’ to begin operation.
3. Move the control dial to the ‘Off’ position
while the fan is in operation to turn it off.
Speed Selection:
1. This fan offers a choice of 2 speeds: High
or Low.
2. Move the control dial to the relevant
position to select your desired speed.
Move this dial to the ‘Low’ setting to
select low speed, or move it to the ‘High’
setting to select high speed.
Oscillation:
1. Each of the fan’s 2 speeds can be used
statically or with the fan oscillating.
2. To turn the oscillation function on, move
the control dial to the ‘Low Oscillation’
position to select the low speed
setting with oscillation, or to the ‘High
Oscillation’ position to select the high
power setting with oscillation.
3. To de-activate the oscillation function
and resume static operation, move the
control dial to the ‘High’ or ‘Low’ position.
Cleaning and Care:
1. Before cleaning always switch off the
appliance and remove the plug from the
electrical socket.
2. To clean the outside of the fan, wipe the
exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Use a dry
cloth to polish it if desired.
3. Never use any abrasive cleaning materials
to clean the fan.
4. When not in use, store the fan (preferably
in its original box) in a cool, clean and dry
location.

Remove any heat sources from the
surrounding area.
Close any open windows in the surrounding
area.
