Operate this unit with the connected Pioneer
head unit. Instructions in this manual use
DEH-P4800MP as an example head unit.
When using other head units, refer to Operat-
ing with different Pioneer head units on this
page.
We recommend that you familiarize yourself
with the functions and their operation by read-
ing through the manual before you begin
using this unit.
Operating with different
Pioneer head units
Head units are divided into several groups;
find which group yours falls into and operate it
according to the corresponding function com-
patibility charts on the following pages.
!Select SIRIUS source when using this unit
with head units grouped 1 and 2. Select
EXTERNAL source to use with other head
units. For detailes about EXTERNAL source,
refer to the head unit’s manual.
Head unit group 1
Operation of the following head units is the
same as the “DEH-P4800MP”. Refer to the in-
struction starting on page 11.

head unit.
Selecting the source Press AUX repeatedly until an external source for SIRIUS is selected.

The chart below illustrates the Team Setting menu. Select teams for the Game Alert function referring to
this chart and the function compatibility chart for your head unit.

Press to select functions.
2SOURCE button, VOLUME
The head unit is turned on by selecting a
source. Press to cycle through all the avail-
able sources.
Rotate it to increase or decrease the vo-
lume.
31–6 buttons
Press for preset tuning.
4BAND button
Press to select among three bands and can-
cel the control mode of functions.
5DISPLAY button
Press to display different information on the
selected channel. Press and hold to switch
the scroll setting.
6DISPLAY button
Press and hold to change the channel select
mode.
7a/b/c/dbuttons
Press to perform channel select, channel re-
call and category select. Also used for con-
trolling functions.
Remote control
You can operate in the same way with the re-
mote control supplied with the head unit. For
details, refer to the head unit's operation man-
ual.
