Obtaining Warranty Services
A product must be within its warranty period in order to apply for warranty services. Please
contact the dealer where you originally purchased the product or Plextor Customer Service

warranty servicing location as instructed. When you apply for warranty services you must have
the following information available; (1) your name, address, contact telephone numbers, and
email address; (2) proof of purchase of the product; if you lost it the proof of purchase, the
warranty period will be determined on the basis of the manufacture date of the product; (3)
product model and serial numbers; (4) description and explanation of the malfunction or
problem.
After Plextor Customer Service has confirmed that the product meets the warranty qualifications
and rules, it will provide the warranty service applicant with a maintenance number. The user
must place the product in its original product packaging or other appropriate product packaging,
include the maintenance number provided by the Customer Service Center, and send the product
back to the designated servicing location. The user must bear the transportation cost to
maintenance center, and including all risks of damage or loss of the product during the

without maintenance number, so you must first contact the Customer Service Center to confirm
that you meet warranty qualifications and obtain a valid maintenance number.

replacement services. The original warranty period applies to the product replacement or
maintenance, and will not be extended.
