PLUM AUDIO – VASAT
Thanks for purchasing VASAT from Plum Audio!
VASAT is a dual channel expandable Mixer / Attenuverter / Offset and precision voltage source with
variable range.
Features:
• VASAT can process two channels of audio or CV.
• Polarity push buttons can configure knobs to work as attenuators or as attenuverters.
• Unconnected inputs are normalized to an internal precision voltage source which can produce
either a +2.5V, +5V, +7.5V or +10V.
• VASAT outputs are limited to -/+ 10V to protect against clipping.
• VASAT outputs are daisy-chained allowing channels to be mixed.
• VASAT is expandable – Several units can be chained together to get a bigger mixer.

Installation Instructions:
● VASAT is made according to the Intellijel 1U standard and should only be installed in cases that
support the Intellijel 1U standard.
● Before connecting VASAT, make sure to turn off your case’s power supply.
● Connect one side of the supplied ribbon cable to the power header of VASAT and the other side
to your case's power bus board.
The red stripe of the ribbon cable (-12V side) must be oriented to the same side as the “Red
Stripe” marking on the header.
● Use the 4 supplied screws to mount VASAT to a free 10HP space in the 1U row of your Eurorack
case.
Power Supply Requirements:
● VASAT requires a -12V/+12V power supply (2x5 pin connector).
● VASAT draws 20mA from the +12V rail and 20mA from the -12V rail.

Interface:
Inputs and Outputs:
VASAT I/Os of both channels are located on the left side of the module.
1. Audio or CV inputs, unconnected inputs are normalized to the internal voltage source.
2. Outputs, unconnected output is summed at the next output.
Controls:
VASAT controls of both channels are located on the right side of the module.
3. Attenuators / Attenuverters knobs with indicator LED (Blue indicate positive voltage, Red
indicates negative voltage)
4. Polarity push buttons with indicator LED – When the “BI” LED is yellow the knob is configured as
attenuverter.

Voltage source configuration:
On the back of VASAT there are 2 small dip switches, use pencil or other sharp tool to set the desired
amount of voltage as shown in the drawing below:
Expand your VASAT with more units:
You can chain several units of VASAT to get bigger mixer, each unit will add 2 more channels.
• There is no limit to the number of units that can be chained.
• You can configure different Internal voltage source in each unit.
• unconnected output will be summed at the next connected output in the chain.
To create connection between two modules, use the supplied jumper cap and connect between “Chain
out” pin to “Chain in” pin of the next module (see picture)
