Welcome
Plugg is intelligent things
Thank you for choosing Plugg and +garage, a program-
mable remote control to use with an iPhone and in stand-a-
lone mode. +garage acquires the access codes from remote
controls already in use. It can then open doors and gates
when you arrive, making use of the Apple device‘s locali-
sation services. The access management app memorises
the codes, transfers them to your +garage and turns it into
a smart device. You can associate the codes to the places
and share them via e-mail to other +garage users, perma-
nently or for a limited. Read the instruction manual carefully
to nd out how to connect your +garage, install the app
and use the plugg safely. Remember to update the manual
by downloading regularly from plusplugg.com/en/support/
downloads.
1. Quick guide to symbols
The manual contains all the information for proper use of
+garage and to ensure extended product life. So that you
can immediately see how important the symbols are, the
text is organised in chapters, with bullet points and symbols:

The order in which the actions are presented is not
obligatory, but recommended.
1. Numbers mean that the list explains a more compli-
cated procedure that must be carried out in the order
indicated.
CAUTION: Important information regarding proper
use of the device, in order to ensure user safety.

necessary to explain sections of the instruction
manual.

3. Getting started with
+garage
+garage is an intuitive remote control that does not require
programming - its dedicated app enables you to acquire
access codes from xed code remote controls remotes
and rolling code remotes from selected producers. The app
memorises and transfers them to the plugg +garage to open
your doors and gates when you arrive, using the buttons in
a stand-alone mode through the GPS function. You can also
all the codes with other +garage users simply by sending an
e-mail directly from your iPhone. To acquire the code from an
original remote control, connect +garage to the Apple device
onto which you have downloaded the access code mana-
gement app, after completing the rst charging cycle for the
plugg‘s internal battery.
+garage must be used according to the manufac-
turer‘s safety guidelines.
Using +garage in any way not described in the ma-
nual is regarded as improper use, and +garage will
not be held liable for any inaccuracy, malfunction or
damage to person or persons resulting from this.
4. Protecting +garage

in order to protect your +garage plugg from damage
and ensure it works properly.

5. In the box
Before using +garage you must make sure that the package
contains all the items on the list and that there is no sign of
damage. If you have any doubts, do not operate the plugg
and contact your reseller or Plugg client services directly.
The box containing your +garage also includes:
• +garage programmable remote unit
• Desktop cap
• Portable cap
• Micro Usb/Usb cable
• Keyring strap
• International guarantee
Do not use your +garage device if the packaging has
been damaged in any way.
6. Description of +garage
+garage is a plugg, a hardware device that connects to com-
patible new generation smartphones. The +garage remote
control unit is simple to use with an iPhone after the dedica-
ted app has been downloaded from App Store and installed.
The access management app makes +garage a smart devi-
ce. It enables you to acquire codes and associate them with
places by selecting the geographical location on the active
maps using your iPhone‘s localisation services. This lets you
open doors and gates when you arrive, and share the codes
via e-mail with other +garage users. The sharing can also be
restricted to a limited period if desired.
6.1. Activating +garage
+garage is very easy to set up with just a short series of
actions:
• Download and install the +garage access
management app from App Store
• Connect +garage to your iPhone
• Enable the localisation services for +garage
• Acquire the security codes
• Congure preferences
7. Turning +garage on and o
You do not need to turn +garage on and o, as all its func-
tions are controlled from the connected iPhone.
8. The access
management app
The access management app will guide you through the in-
itial setup. This includes acquiring codes, geo-referenced ac-
tivation of door and gate openings and setting preferences.
+garage is much more than a remote control - it manages all
your access points and shares them in an extremely intuitive
way, using only the Plugg device and your iPhone.
The compatible device must have enough free memory
to allow the app to be installed and store the acquired
access codes.
The Apple device paired with your +garage must be
using the latest operating system. If you need to update
this, please refer to Apple guidelines.

9. Using +garage for the
rst time
9.1. Downloading the app
The access management app is available for free download
from App Store. You must download it and open the appli-
cation to proceed with your +garage activation.
9.2. Charging +garage
+garage is powered by an internal lithium ion battery that
must be recharged regularly using a Micro Usb/Usb cable.
The battery is partially charged when you purchase your
+garage - before pairing the plugg you must complete a full
charge cycle.
To prolong the life of the internal LiPo battery:
• only recharge partially and frequently
• do not allow the battery to discharge completely
• carry out a complete charge cycle regularly

It is very easy to acquire the access codes from a remote
unit in use. Tap the +garage garage in the middle of the main

screen. Access these controls using the +garage icon in the
basic menu at the bottom.
