Thank you for purchasing the ToyotaLUXX
Before operaon, be sure to thoroughly read these instrucons.
Warranty for this product is 3 years from date of purchase, however warranty will be void if:
• The unit is tampered with, damaged or modied in anyway.
• If applicable Reverse camera cable is cut or modied in any way.
• If applicable Reverse camera is subjected to over voltage.
• If applicable the Navigaon SD card is damaged or tampered with in any way (this includes in-
stalling foreign mapping or soware onto the SD card).
• The installaon of 3rd party apps that may cause harm to the unit.
Warranty Terms
The ToyotaLUXX is covered for 3 years and includes:
• Defecve Equipment • Defecve Cables
Not Covered under warranty:
• Abuse
• Improper installaon
• Alteraon to Cables (includes cung of any cables)
• Accidents
• Water damage

Geng Started
The unit will take approx. 15-20 seconds on the inial start-up, aer this the unit will
load instantaneously unless reset.
Once the unit has loaded it will appear with the main menu interface:

Please note that some apps have been installed by Polaris via Google Play store

You can change the order of the icons or move desired icons to the main interface by
holding down the applicable icon and dragging to the desired posion.
Connecng to Wi-Fi
There are a few dierent ways in which you can connect to Wi-Fi:
1: Drag the toolbar that is located at the top of the screen down > Hold down the Wi-Fi
symbol unl the Wi-Fi sengs appear. Touch the Wi-Fi that you wish to connect to and
follow the prompts.
2. The other way in which you can connect to Wi-Fi is to select the sengs icon >
select network & internet > Wi-Fi > select the Wi-Fi that you wish to connect to and
follow the prompts.
Please Note: If you are connecng to Wi-Fi via your personal hotspot, you will be using
your phones data.
Connecng Bluetooth
1. Go into your phones Bluetooth sengs
2. Select Bluetooth from the main menu on the Toyota Luxx
3. Select the
magnifying
glass icon to
go into
pairing
mode.

search for
your phone.

5. Bluetooth can be temperamental at mes. If the Toyota Luxx does not nd your
device, turn your bluetooth o and back on through your bluetooth enabled device and
scan again.
Your phone will now ask if you want to connect to the Polaris device, please make sure you
allow and input the password of 0000 in.
You can also connect your bluetooth device by following the normal procedure through
your device. This usually involves going into your devices > bluetooth sengs and
scanning for other bluetooth devices.
The Toyota Luxx’s bluetooth ID is Polaris > Select Polaris on your device > when your
device asks you for a passcode, please enter 0000.

found your phone,

Seng Up Radio Pre-sets
Select radio from the main menu
You can store up to 30 FM pre-sets and 30 AM pre-sets.
To automacally scan, select the magnifying glass icon:
The unit will run through a complete scan and will automacally set your pre-set staons
to the radio frequencies with the strongest signal within your area.
Select a pre-set down the boom of the screen and hold down unl it changes to your
desired staon.

To manually scan for radio staons long press the arrow buons:
When you have found the staon you desire, press the arrow key to stop the search.
If you need to change the frequency one by one, simply short press the arrow keys.
Once you have reached your desired staon select a pre-set down the boom of the
screen and hold down (long press) unl it changes to your desired staon.

Date & Time
Select sengs from the main menu.
Select System > Date & Time
If you are planning on always being connected to Wi-Fi via your mobile phone then you
can simply set the date and me to Automac Date & Time and Automac Time Zone.

If you are not planning on being connected to Wi-Fi all the me then you can manually set
the date, me and me zone:
Google Play Store
To start downloading your own apps you will need to sign into Google play store. To do
this you need to have a Google account. If you already have a Gmail account then this is
all you will need in order to sign into the play store.
If you do not have a google account, you can sign up online which is completely free. Head
over to www.gmail.com > click on more opons > create account.
Follow all the necessary prompts to create your free google account.
Once you have set up your account, select play store from the main menu > follow the
prompts to sign in.
Once you are signed in, you are free to start downloading 3rd party apps such as
navigaon or Spofy.
Please note that the more apps you add onto the system, the slower the unit will be to re-
spond as a result.
WARNING: Polaris take no responsibility for 3rd party apps installed onto the device.

Easy Connecon
Easy connecon allows you to connect an android phone via USB for two way control or
you can mirror your android or Apple phone via Wi-Fi.
To setup, open Easy Connecon from the main menu
Android USB
Connect your phone with your original phone cable to one of the USB inputs on the
ToyotaLUXX and select Android USB. A message should pop up on your android
device to allow for debugging > select yes. If debugging was successful, Android drive
mode will automacally load.
Note: If you are having trouble connecng your android phone, make sure that
debugging is enabled. You can usually nd debugging in developer opons. A quick
google search of your make and model should help with nding this feature on your
phone.

Android drive mode will allow you to access certain features on your phone such as
messages, contacts and calls without having to touch your phone. You can add certain
apps to drive mode as well such as Google maps, Spofy etc.
Android drive mode will also allow you to mirror your phone.
iPhone Wi-Fi
iPhone Wi-Fi will allow you to mirror your iPhone. It does not allow for 2 way control, it
will simply mirror whatever is on your iPhone screen.
When connecng via Wi-Fi, the ToyotaLUXX and your iPhone must be connected to the
same network. If you are on the road, you will need to connect the ToyotaLUXX up to
your personal hotspot.
Select iPhone Wi-Fi from the easy connecon menu.
On your iPhone open airplay or screen mirroring and select EC-Mirror-CJ.
Please Note: When connecng via Wi-Fi please be aware that the response me will
depend on how strong your signal is. If the connecon is weak the response me will be
slow.
When connecng via Wi-Fi, the ToyotaLUXX and your android phone must be
connected to the same network. If you are on the road, you will need to connect the
ToyotaLUXX up to your personal hotspot.
When seng up for the rst me, you will need to plug your phone in via USB. Please
make sure Android debugging is enabled (normally found in developer opons). Once
debugging is done the unit should connect via Wi-Fi and you can now unplug your
phone.

Note: Android Drive mode version may dier depending on the easy connect version that
is installed on your phone.

Bluetooth features
Please see page 5 & 6 on how to pair up your Bluetooth enabled device.
Once you are connected to bluetooth, you can receive calls regardless of what feature
you are using.

Notes:
The ToyotaLUXX will only connect to one phone at a me.
Bluetooth can be temperamental at mes. If the ToyotaLUXX does not nd your
device, turn your bluetooth o and back on through your bluetooth enabled device and
scan again.

If the auto answer feature is on, The ToyotaLUXX will automacally answer the call aer
three rings.
If Auto Connect is turned on, bluetooth will automacally connect to the last paired
phone upon vehicle start-up.
Bluetooth sengs

Bluetooth Music
You can listen to songs on your bluetooth enabled device via bluetooth.
Select BT music from the main menu, choose your audio and the unit will stream
your audio via bluetooth.
If you are listening to some type of playlist you can skip forward and back, pause and
play through BT music
Notes:
BT music is limited in features, we recommend that if you use streaming services such as
Spofy or Apple music to download the app directly onto the Toyota Luxx.
Radio
The ToyotaLUXX has AM and FM built into it. You can set up to 30 FM pre-sets and 30 AM
pre-sets. To see how to set these up, please see pages 7-8.

Music via USB
The ToyotaLUXX has 3 x USB ports. Two of the USB ports plug into the back of the head
unit and are normally run into the glove box. The third USB port is located in the head
unit.
