Section 1. Important Safety Instructions
READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS
RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION.
Only use slow dissolving Tri-Chlorine OR Bromine tablets in this chemical
dosing unit and NEVER mix different chemical products together. Failure to
observe the above warning could result in an explosion and re.
NEVER use oils or grease to lubricate o-ring. Oil in contact with Trichlor
may result in FIRE. Lubricate o-ring with approved silicone o-ring lubricant
only. If you are not the original owner of this feeder, or not sure which
chemical was used, be SAFE and ush thoroughly with fresh water.
CAUTION SHOULD BE USED WHEN REMOVING CAP. DO NOT INHALE
FUMES. IF YOUR POOL HAS COPPER PLUMBING DO NOT INSTALL.
This will damage the feeder. NOTE: If heaters are used, a Fireman’s Switch
or equivalent must be installed to prevent possible damage and improper
operation of check valve and other equipment subject to heat damage.
CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE IS NOT TO BE USED IN ANY FORM.
Never open the dosing unit lid when the unit is running. Before doing so,
turn off the pool circulation pump and close all valves. Ensure you take
the following precautions: Do not smoke in the vicinity of the unit, wear
adequate eye and hand protection and avoid inhaling any gas that may
be released. Apart from occasions when the unit needs to be re-filled or
maintained, always ensure that the return line back to the pool is open to
avoid the accumulation of any gases.

Before you begin installation, verify you have all necessary parts
(see Table 1 below).

DO NOT INSTALL chlorine feeder before the heating system. Damage
to the heating system may occur. The feeder is designed for permanent
installation in the return line of the pool and must always be installed after
the heater, pool cleaner, valves, mineral sanitizer etc. If there is no heater
then install the feeder after the lter and all other equipment.
CAUTION
In order to prevent risk of serious property damage, injury or death:
Wear eye and skin protection while maintaining or servicing this unit.
Do not inhale fumes from the chlorinator or chemical container.
Chlorine feeder may be under pressure. Use caution removing cover.
WARNING
1. Make sure all pumps and timer switches are OFF.
2. Place T-gasket into groove on inlet.
3. Install the 1-1/2" threaded adapter to the lter valve or system plumbing then
couple the feeder inlet to the 1-1/2”threaded adapter using the split union
nut.
4. Install the outlet connection:
• If the pool is plumbed with corrugated or ex hose, install the hose
adapter provided in the outlet. (Fig. 3a) Take the 1-1/2” hose adapter
and install in the outlet with Teon tape (not provided).
• If the pool is plumbed with 1-1/2” PVC pipe, use bushings installed
directly into the outlet side of the feeder and install the union tting
provided for the inlet. (Fig. 3b)

Section 3. Operation
NOTE:
• The consumption of chlorine in swimming pools varies according to use,
temperature, exposure to sunlight, and other factors. Initially, you will
need to experiment with the control valve to ensure that the unit doses
enough chemical to maintain the recommended residual. Start with the
valve in the 50% position. Test the residual regularly using instructions
below.
• This tablet feeder is designed to help you maintain a chlorine residual.
Always start a new feeder installation by ensuring that the chlorine is
already at a proper residual level. Consult your local dealer for water
conditioning and residual requirements for each pool.
Elevated chemical concentrations and Hazardous Gas - The introduction of
potentially hazardous gas or elevated chemical concentrations into the pool
during backwash and periods of no flow in the circulation system can cause
serious personal injury, or death. To avoid, use the following guidelines:
• Set dosage indicator to zero before stopping water ow through the
chlorinator.
• Minimize backwash time.
• Do not shut off pump for extended periods.
• Do not allow bathers into the pool area until full ow through the
circulation system has been established.

Start-Up Steps
1. Ensure all pumps and time switches are off.
2. Fill the feeder with water making sure to bleed out any entrapped air in any of
the lines.
3. Remove cap of feeder and ll with proper size tablets. (For pools: 1"or 3"
diameter tablets.)

4. Replace cap making sure o-ring is clean, lubricated with approved silicone,
and in place.
5. Turn on pump and timer switches for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours.
6. Adjust the dosage indicator according to the size of the pool. Use a test kit
to determine the chemical residual. It is recommended that the chemical
residual be checked daily for the rst ve days.
NOTE:
• Hot weather, high water temperature and increased bather use will
cause the pool to use more chemical. Increase the feed rate a few days
in advance when possible. The valve settings may require adjustment
depending on the conditions.
• If the feeder does not provide enough chemical residual when using 3”
tablets, switch to 1” tablets for faster erosion and increased residual.
• During regular maintenance, always check o-rings for damage, breaks,
swelling, etc. Replace if necessary. (see Replacement Parts list)
• Before operating this feeder, or any time the cover is removed,
completely ll feeder with water and bleed out entrapped air in any of
the lines.
To achieve optimal performance the pool must be cleaned and balanced as
follows:
• Raise chlorine level to APSP recommended levels so the water has a
sustained 1-3 ppm free chlorine level.
• Test pool chemistry and adjust pH between 7.4 and 7.6.
• Adjust total alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm.
To avoid risk of property damage, serious injury or death, Calcium
Hypochlorite is not to be used in any form.
WARNING

Replacing Tablets
1. Turn control valve to the closed position. SHUT OFF PUMP.
2. Wait one minute allowing the water and fumes to drain from the feeder.
3. Leave the control valve closed. (The check valve will prevent water from
entering the feeder).
4. Rotate lid to open and access tablets. Rell with tablets.
5. Completely ll body with water, and bleed out entrapped air in all system
lines.
6. Press lid with o-ring seal rmly into body. O-ring should be clean, lubricated
with silicone based lubricant and in place. Engage cover threads and turn
clockwise to seal. (Hand tighten only).
7. Open control valve to original setting. Inspect the inlet line below the control
valve for leaks each time the feeder is relled. Replace the lines yearly if
needed.
NOTE: Keep an eye on the tablet level in the unit, preferably reload BEFORE
they run out.
Section 4. Winterizing
NOTE: If the equipment is subject to freezing conditions, it will be necessary to
winterize the unit following these instructions.
1. Ensure that all power to the equipment system is disconnected/ turned off.
2. Drain water from the unit by disconnecting one side of the hose or pipe
connections.
3. Remove any remnants of undissolved chemical tablets, rinse out the body
with clean water.
4. Follow other normal procedures for your system to winterize.
5. Consult manufacturer instructions for winterizing additional equipment.

LISEZ ET SUIVEZ TOUTES LES INSTRUCTIONS
RISQUE D’INCENDIE OU D’EXPLOSION.
Utilisez uniquement des comprimés de trichlore OU brome à dissolution
lente dans ce dispositif de dosage chimique et ne mélangez JAMAIS
différents produits chimiques. Le non-respect de l’avertissement ci-dessus
peut entraîner des explosions et incendies.
N’utilisez JAMAIS des huiles ou des graisses pour lubrier le joint torique.
Le contact entre l’huile et le Trichlor peut entraîner un INCENDIE. Lubriez
le joint torique uniquement avec du lubriant pour joint torique autorisé
à base de silicone. Si vous n’êtes pas le propriétaire d’origine de ce
système d’alimentation, ou si vous n’êtes pas certain du produit chimique
utilisé, soyez PRUDENT et rincez abondamment à l’eau douce. SOYEZ
PRUDENT LORS DU RETRAIT DU COUVERCLE. NE PAS RESPIRER
LES FUMÉES. NE PAS INSTALLER SI VOTRE PISCINE A DE LA

NOTA BENE : Si des dispositifs de chauffage sont utilisés, un interrupteur

N’UTILISER AUCUNE FORME D’HYPOCHLORITE DE CALCIUM.
N’ouvrez jamais le couvercle du dispositif de dosage lorsqu’il fonctionne.
Avant l’ouverture, éteignez la pompe de circulation de la piscine et fermez
tous les robinets. Veillez ensuite à prendre les précautions suivantes :
Ne fumez pas à proximité du dispositif, portez des protections oculaires
et manuelles adéquates, et évitez de respirer les gaz qui pourraient
s’échapper. À l’exception des périodes de remplissage ou d’entretien du
dispositif, veillez à ce que la conduite de retour vers la piscine soit toujours
ouverte pour éviter l’accumulation de gaz.

NE PAS INSTALLER le système d’alimentation en chlore avant le système
de chauffage. Le système de chauffage pourrait être endommagé. Le
système d’alimentation est conçu pour une installation permanente sur
ligne de retour de la piscine et doit toujours être installé après le chauffage,
le nettoyeur de piscine, les vannes, le désinfectant minéral, etc. S’il n’y a
pas de chauffage, installez alors le système d’alimentation après le ltre et
le reste de l'équipement.
MISE EN GARDE
Afin d’éviter le risque de dégâts matériels sévères, blessures, ou mort :
Portez une protection des yeux et de la peau lors de l’entretien ou de
la réparation du dispositif.
Ne respirez pas les fumées du chlorateur ou du conteneur chimique.
Le dispositif de chloration peut être sous pression. Soyez prudent lors
du retrait du couvercle.
AVERTISSEMENT
1. Veillez à ce que toutes les pompes et les minuteries soient sur OFF
(ARRÊT).
2. Placez le joint en T dans la rainure à l’entrée.
3. Installez l’adaptateur leté de 1-1/2" sur la vanne de ltrage ou la tuyauterie
du système, puis joindre l'entrée du système d’alimentation à l’adaptateur
leté de 1-1/2”à l’aide de l’écrou de raccordement divisé.
4. Installez la connexion de sortie :
• Si la tuyauterie de la piscine est en tuyau ondulé ou exible, installez
l’adaptateur de tuyau fourni à la sortie. (Fig. 3a) Prenez l’adaptateur
de tuyau de 1-1/2" et installez-le à la sortie avec du ruban adhésif de
Téon (non fourni).
• Si la tuyauterie de la piscine est en tuyau en PVC de 1-1/2", utilisez
les bagues installées directement sur le côté sortie du système
d’alimentation et installez l’écrou de raccordement fourni pour l'entrée.

Section 3. Fonctionnement
NOTA BENE :
• La consommation de chlore dans les piscines varie en fonction de
l’utilisation, la température, l’exposition au soleil, et d’autres facteurs.
Initialement, il vous faudra expérimenter avec la vanne de contrôle pour
vous assure que le dispositif dose sufsamment de produits chimiques
pour maintenir la concentration résiduelle recommandée. Commencez
avec la vanne sur la position 50%. Testez la concentration résiduelle
régulièrement en suivant les instructions ci-dessous.
• Ce système d’alimentation à comprimés est conçu pour vous aider à
maintenir une concentration résiduelle de chlore. Commencez toujours
l’installation d’un nouveau système d’alimentation en vous assurant
que le chlore est déjà à un niveau résiduel convenable. Consultez votre
concessionnaire local pour les exigences de conditionnement d’eau et
de concentration résiduelle pour chaque piscine.
Concentrations chimiques élevées et gaz nocifs - L’introduction de gaz
potentiellement nocifs ou de concentrations chimiques élevées dans la
piscine durant la réextraction et les périodes sans débit dans le système de
circulation peut causer des blessures graves ou la mort. Pour éviter ceci,
suivre les instructions suivantes :
• Réglez l’indicateur de dosage à zéro avant d'arrêter le débit d’eau à
travers le chlorateur.
• Minimisez le temps de réextraction.
• N'éteignez pas la pompe pour de longues périodes.
• N’autorisez pas les baigneurs autour de la piscine jusqu’à ce que le
plein débit à travers le système de circulation ait été établi.
AVERTISSEMENT
Étapes de démarrage
1. Assurez-vous que toutes les pompes et les interrupteurs de minuterie sont
éteints.
2. Remplissez le système d’alimentation d’eau, veillant à purger tout air
emprisonné de toutes les conduites.
3. Retirez le couvercle du système d’alimentation et remplissez-le de
comprimés de la bonne taille. (Pour les piscines : comprimés de 1"ou 3"de
diamètre.)

4. Replacez le couvercle en veillant à ce que le joint torique soit propre, lubrié
avec du silicone autorisé, et à la bonne place.
5. Allumez les interrupteurs de la pompe et de minuterie pendant au moins 6 à
8 heures.
6. Ajustez l’indicateur de dosage en fonction de la taille de la piscine. Utilisez
un kit de test pour déterminer la concentration résiduelle chimique. Nous
recommandons que la concentration résiduelle chimique soit vériée
quotidiennement pendant les cinq premiers jours.
NOTA BENE :
• Le temps chaud, des températures élevées de l’eau, et une utilisation
accrue des baigneurs augmenteront le besoin en produits chimiques de
la piscine. Augmentez le taux d’alimentation quelques jours en avance
si possible. Les réglages des vannes exigeront peut-être un ajustement,
en fonction des conditions.
• Si le système d’alimentation ne fournit pas assez de concentration
résiduelle chimique en utilisant des comprimés de 3", utilisez à la place
des comprimés de 1" pour une érosion plus rapide et une concentration
résiduelle accrue.
• Lors de l’entretien régulier, vériez toujours que les joints toriques
ne sont pas endommagés, cassés, gonés, etc. Remplacez-les si
nécessaire. (Voir la liste des Pièces de Rechange)
• Avant d’utiliser ce système d’alimentation, ou lorsque le couvercle
est retiré, remplissez complètement le système d’eau et purgez l’air
emprisonné des conduites.
Pour obtenir une performance optimale, la piscine doit être nettoyée et
équilibrée comme suit :
• Lever le niveau de chlore aux niveaux recommandés par l’APSP, an
que l’eau ait un niveau continu de chlore libre de 1 à 3 ppm.
• Tester les propriétés chimiques de la piscine et ajuster le pH entre 7,4 et
7,6.
• Régler l’alcalinité totale entre 80 et 120 ppm.
Pour éviter tout risque de dommages matériels, de blessures graves,
ou de décès, n’utilisez aucune forme d’hypochlorite de calcium.
AVERTISSEMENT
