panel

Nextdetermine
if
you
haveadual
post
orDINstyle
stereo.
Dual
post
stereos
haveonly
two
knobs
on
thefront
panel,
typically
volumecontrol
andstation
selector.
Theseshafts
are
threaded
andare
equipped
withnutsthat
allowthe
stereotobe
mounted
through
apanel.
Allother
stereos
are
DIN
style.
All
CD
players
are
DINStyle.

Removethe
knobs,
mounting
nutsand
front
panel
ofthe
stereo.
Slide
the
stereo
into
rear
ofthe
frontcoverofthe
WC400. -M
Attach
front
panel,
mounting
nuts,and
knobs
as
per
installation
instructions
of
thestereo.
Placeblue
gasket
over
edgeof
rearcover.
Notethat
his
gasket
must
be
located
between
the
front
and
rearcovers
before
you
attachthe
stereo
wires
totherear
cover.
Attachthe
wiresfromtherear
ofthestereo
tothecorresponding
wires
intheback
oftherear
cover.
Note
that
the
wiresonthe
rearcover
simply
pass
through
the
unit
and
are
marked
for
your

convenience.
The
wires
maybedefined
inanyway
that
you
choose,tosuit
your
installation.Forexample,
ifyouhave
"+"
and
"-"
wires
comingfrom
your
stereoforeachside
ofyour speakers
youmaychooseto
use
the
"something"
andthe
"aux"
wires
onthecovertoaccommodate
theadditionalspeaker
wires.

(they

anchor

screws

Attach
gimbal
mount
bracket
tomain housingusingthetwomountingknobs
provided.

STYLE
STEREOS:
Tomount
a DINstyle
stereo
youmustfirstremove
thetwo
vertical
bars
inthefrontcoverofthe
WC400which
normally
holdthe
dual
post
stereosin
place.
Usingautili$knife,cutthesetabs.

theback,
thesebarshavenotches
atthetopandbottom.CutalongtheNotches.
Slide
thestereothrough
the
front
ofthe
front
cover.
Followtheinstallationinstructions
in
your
stereomanual
forattaching
thestereotothefrontcover.Usuallythis
involves
using
mountingclamps
or
bendingmetaltabs
onthestereo.
DINTYPE
Place
blue
gasket
overedge
ofrear cover.
Note
that
his
gasket
mustbebetween
thefrontand
rear
covers
before
youattachthestereowires
totherear cover.
Attach
the
wires
fromtherearofthe stereo
tothe
correspondingwires
inthebackoftherear
cover.Note
thatthewires
ontherearcoversimply
pass
throughtheunitandare
marked
for
your
convenience.
Thewires
maybedefined
any
way
that
you
choosetosuit
your
installation.Forexample,
if
you
have
"+"
and
"-"
wires
comingfrom
your
stereo
for
each
sideof
your
speakers
you
maychoose
touse
the
"something"
and
the
"aux"
wiresonthecovertoaccommodatetheadditional
speaker
wires.
With
theblue
gasket
inplace,
attachtherearcovertothe
frontcover.Thetwo
machinescrews
fit
into
thetwoendholes
ofthefrontcover
(they
willanchorintothe
metal
studs)
andthefour
sheetmetal
screwsfitinto
theremaining
fourhole
(they
willanchorintothe
plastic
holes).
Attach
gimbal
mount
bracketto
the
mainhousingusingthetwo
mountingknobs
provided.
