Integrating the SoundStructure with the HDX codec and EagleEye Director

SoundStructure Studio Configuration File
TheSoundStructureconfigurationfilecanbeeasilycustomizedtosupporttheadditionaloutputchannelrequiredto
drivetheinputtotheEagleEyeDirector.Tocompletethisintegration,thefollowingstepsarerequired:
1. AddanewStereooutputfromSoundStructuretotheinputontheEagleEyeDirector
2. AddagroupthatcontainsboththeAmplifierandEagleEyeDirectoroutputs
3. Ensurethein‐roomvolumecontrolisdoneproperlysothatin‐roomleveladjustmentsareheardintheroomare

reasonforsettingtheuserminandmaxfadervaluesisthatanytimeaSoundStructuresystemisdesignedwithanHDX
codec,bydefaulttheAmplifierfaderminandmaxvaluesareautomaticallysetto‐31and20dBrespectivelyasshownin

SoundStructure Volume Control Events
Next,let’sreviewtheEventsthatareassociatedwiththisprojectandensurethattheaudioleveltotheEagleEye

OntheeventspageshowninFigure16,thereisadefaulteventcalled_PolycomHDXtoSSTVolumethatmapsthe

leveloftheAmplifierandEagleEyeoutputsthesame,editthiseventbydoubleclickingintheeventandchangethe

NowifthevolumechangesontheHDXcodec,eitherviaanHDXIRremoteoranexplicitHDXAPIcommandforadjusting
thevolume,theToLocalRoomgroupwithinSoundStructurewilltrackthatchangeand,becauseToLocalRoomisagroup,

Confirming the Physical Wiring Matches the Project Wiring
Nowthattheprojectisconfiguredproperly,thenextstepistoconfirmthephysicalwiringoftheaudiototheAmplifier
