1. INTRODUCCIÓN
El presente manual proporciona la información
necesaria para un correcto transporte, almacenaje,
instalación y mantenimiento de los diferentes
transformadores POLYLUX, para un uso correcto
de estos y garantizar una vida útil prolongada.
2. INSTRUCCIONES
2.1. Suministro
Todos los Transformadores POLYLUX pasan su
correspondiente control de calidad y son correc-
tamente embalados para su seguro transporte
garantizando su posterior funcionamiento. El co-
rrecto envío del transformador en el transporte
es responsabilidad de la empresa transportista.
1. INTRODUCTIÓN
This manual provides the necessary information for
proper transport, storage, installation and mainte-
nance of POLYLUX’s transformers, for their correct
use and to ensure a long lifespan.
2. INSTRUCTIONS
2.1. Supply
All transformers of POLYLUX pass their
correspondent quality test and are properly
packaged for safe transportation ensuring thus
their correct operation. The proper transport of
the goods is responsibility of the freight
forwarder.
Al recibir el transformador realice una cuidadosa inspección para verificar que no existen
daños debidos al transporte.
Upon receipt of the transformer make a careful inspection to verify that there is no shipping
damage.
De existir daños en el transporte y no ser indicados en el albarán de entrega de
mercancía, POLYLUX no se hará responsable del coste de reparación/substitución.
If any damage caused by the forwarder is not indicated in the delivery note during the
receipt of goods, POLYLUX will not be held responsible for the cost of repair/replacement.
2.2. Descarga y manejo
Todos los procesos de descarga y manejo del
transformador deben ser ejecutados y super-
visados por personal cualificado atendiendo a
que la carga tiene un peso significativo,
obedeciendo a las normas de seguridad y
utilizando puntos de apoyo apropiados.
Los transformadores poseen dos/cuatro puntos
de elevación dependiendo del tipo de trans-
formador. Para transformadores de potencias
≥500kVA, las siguientes consideraciones se
deben tener en cuenta:
2.2. Unloading and handling
All processes of unloading and handling of
transformers must be executed and monitored
by qualified personnel attending to the
significant weight of the goods, complying with
safety rules and using the appropriate points of
support.
Transformers have two/four lifting points
depending on the type of transformer. For
transformers with rating ≥500kVA, the following
considerations have to be taken into account:

2.3. Almacenaje
Siempre que sea posible, los transformadores
deben ser descargados en su lugar de
instalación y operación. En caso de que sean
descargados en un lugar provisional para su
almacenaje, es conveniente no retirar el
embalaje y almacenarlos cumpliendo con los
siguientes requisitos mínimos:
Seguridad: los productos deben ser protegidos
contra elementos negativos como es la
radiación de calor, radiación solar directa, daños
mecánicos, impacto de disolventes orgánicos,
etc.
Temperatura: a temperaturas por debajo de 5
°C y sobre 35 °C es necesario prestar atención
especial al almacenaje y manipulación.
Ambiente: los productos deben almacenarse en
un lugar seco y libre de polvo. La distancia de
un foco de calor debe ser mínimo 1 m de
distancia.
2.3. Storage
Whenever possible, transformers must be
unloaded in their place of installation and
operation. In case they are unloaded to a
temporary location for storage, it is convenient to
not remove the packaging and store them
meeting the following minimum requirements:
Safety: products must be protected against
negative elements such as heat radiation, direct
solar radiation, mechanical damage, organic
dissolvent impacts, etc.
Temperature: for temperatures below 5 ºC and
over 35º C special attention must be paid to the
storage and handling.
Environment: products must be stored in a dry
and dust-free location. The distance from a heat
source must be 1 m away.
Para garantizar un correcto funcionamiento, los transformadores deben ser almacenados
cumpliendo unos requisitos mínimos.
To ensure a proper operation, the transformers must be store fulfilling minimum
requirements.
Se debe evitar almacenar los transformadores al aire libre.
Outdoor storage of the transformers is to be avoided.

Cada transformador está diseñado para un tipo de ambiente. Ver la siguiente tabla para la
óptima instalación de su transformador.

2.4.1. Procedimiento de instalación
1) Inspección visual del transformador para
constatar que no existan daños
2) Asegurarse de una correcta fijación del
transformador
3) Asegurar el área de instalación; esta debe
estar bien ventilada, libre de gases, ambien-
tes explosivos, corrosivos y humedades
4) Comprobar la placa de características del
transformador y verificar que es la potencia,
tensiones y frecuencia adecuada a la carga
2.4.1. Installation procedure
1) Visual inspection of the transformer to make
sure there is no damage
2) Ensure the correct mounting of the trans-
former
3) Checking of the installation area; this must
be well ventilated and free from gases,
corrosive elements and moisture
4) Check the transformer plate and verify that
rating, voltages and frequency are
appropriate for the load
Desconectar la tensión de entrada asegurándose de utilizar los procedimientos
adecuados y personal cualificado.
Disconnect the input voltage making sure of using proper procedures and qualified
personnel.
5) En el caso de que el transformador tenga
envolvente, utilizar los orificios de acceso y
quitar la cubierta del transformador para
facilitar el cableado
6) Conectar el primario del transformador de
acuerdo con lo marcado en los terminales
de conexión o en los esquemas
7) Conectar a tierra la carcasa (si tiene)
8) Conectar el secundario del transformador
de acuerdo con lo marcado en los
terminales de conexión o en los esquemas
9) Conectar la carga a los terminales del
secundario
5) In case the transformer is inside an
enclosure, use the access holes and
remove the lid to facilitate the wiring
6) Connect the primary of the transformer
according to the marks of the terminals or
schemes
7) Ground/Earth the enclosure (if applicable)
8) Connect the secondary of the transformer
according to the marks of the terminals or
schemes
9) Connect the load to the terminals of the
secondary

2.5. Mantenimiento
Los transformadores son máquinas eléctricas
estáticas y pese a su pequeño desgaste
necesitan un mantenimiento preventivo y
periódico para alargar su vida útil y su buen
funcionamiento.
Puntos de mantenimiento:
1) Inspección visual del lugar de instalación
2) Limpieza del transformador y de su
envolvente para evitar la oxidación,
corrosión u obstrucción de salidas de aire
3) Asegurarse de que los terminales no sufren
sobrecalentamiento
4) Inspeccionar la presión en los contactos de
los terminales
A continuación se muestran los pares de apriete
adecuados según el tipo de terminal:
2.5. Maintenance
Transformers are electrical static machines and
despite its small wearing out they need a
preventive and periodical maintenance in order
to extend their lifespan and proper functioning.
Maintenance points:
1) Visual inspection of the installation location
2) Cleaning of the transformer and its enclosure
to prevent rust, corrosion or air ventilation
blocking
3) Ensure that the terminals are not overheated
4) Check that the terminals are properly tighten
The adequate torques as per terminals type are
shown next:

Montaje en seco (µ = 0,20). Clase de calidad de

Todas las conexiones deben estar apretadas según los pares mostrados anteriormente.
Un incorrecto apriete puede causar daños irreversibles en el transformador.
All connections must be tightened as per the torques abovementioned. An improper
tightening may cause irreversible damage to the transformer.
5) Asegúrese de que la puesta a tierra esté
correctamente conectada a los terminales.
