II. Description
UFHTFTM room regulator is intended for cooperation with UFH8ZMP Wiring Centre. It may
control the operation of subordinate room regulators.
UFHTFTM room regulator should be installed in a particular heating zone.
Temperature information sent by it to the external controller is used to control the
thermostatic valves (by opening them when the room temperature is too low and closing
them when the pre-set room temperature has been reached). The room regulator enables
the user to adjust the pre-set room temperature and set weekly temperature schedules.
UFHTFTM room regulator enables the user to adjust certain settings for other
zones e.g. the pre-set temperature value, weekly schedule, zone name etc.
NOTE
Only one UFHTFTM room regulator may be used in a heating system.
Functions fulfi lled by the regulator:
• Wireless communication with UFH8ZMP
• Controlling room temperature
• Displaying settings: temperature, date, time
• Screen adjusting its brightness to diff erent times of the day
• Parental lock
• Alarm clock
• Screensaver – possibility of uploading photos, a slide show
• Software update via USB
• Controlling the settings of other zones e.g. the pre-set temperature, schedules, names
etc.
• Possibility of confi guring global schedule settings
Controller equipment:
• Front panel made of 2mm glass
• Wireless communication
• Large, easy-to-read, colour touchscreen
• Built-in temperature sensor
• Flush-mountable

VI. Zones
UFHTFTM is a master regulator – it means that it may be used to adjust most parameters
for other zones, regardless of the type of room regulator or room sensor used in the zones.
In order to edit parameters of a particular zone, tap on the area of the screen
where the current status of a given zone is displayed. A zone editing screen will appear:
1. Return to the main screen
2. Room regulator operation mode – the pre-set temperature depends on the current
schedule or manual settings (manual mode). Tap here to open up schedule selection screen.
3. Current time and date
4. Enter the zone menu – tapping on this icon opens up the following options: Zone name,
Schedule settings and Operation.
5. Pre-set zone temperature – tap here to adjust the temperature
6. Time left before the next pre-set temperature change
7. Current zone temperature
VI.a)Zone name
This function is used to edit the name of the zone. The user may assign a diff erent name

VI.b)Schedule settings
UFHTFTM room regulator off ers two types of schedules – local and global.
Global schedules are available in all
zones – in each zone one of such schedules may
be activated. Their settings may be changed
only via the Internet website using the Internet
module or via UFHTFTM master room regulator.
Global schedule may also be used as a basis
for creating a local schedule. In order to do it,
edit a selected global schedule and confi rm the
changes – it will be saved as a local schedule.
Local schedule is assigned only to
the controlled zone and its settings may be
adjusted both from UFHTFT room regulator and master devices (UFH8ZMP Wiring Centre,
UFHTFTM master room regulator or via the Internet).
How to edit the schedule:
After entering the schedule editing screen, the schedule may be adjusted to the
user’s needs. The settings may be confi gured for two separate groups of days – the fi rst
group in orange, the second one in grey. It is possible to assign up to 3 time periods with
separate temperature values to each group. Outside these periods of time, a general pre-
set temperature will apply (its value may also be edited by the user
1. General pre-set temperature for the fi rst group of days (orange colour – in the example
above the colour is used to mark working days Monday-Friday). The temperature applies
outside the time periods defi ned by the user.
2. Time periods for the fi rst group of days – the pre-set temperature and the time limits.
Tapping on a given period opens up an editing screen.
3. General pre-set temperature for the second group of days (grey colour – in the example
above the colour is used to mark Saturday and Sunday).
4. Time periods for the second group of days. In the example above only one period has
been created. In order to add new periods, tap on „+”.
5. Days of the week – orange days are assigned to the fi rst group whereas grey days are
assigned to the second one. In order to change the group, tap on a selected day.

• Pictures import
Before importing the photos to the controller
memory they must be processed using
ImageClip (the software may be downloaded
from Polypipe.emodul.eu).
After the software has been installed and
started, load the photos. Select the area
of the photo which will be displayed on the
screen. The photo may be rotated. After one
photo has been edited, load the next one.
When all the photos are ready, save them in
the main folder of the memory stick. Next,
insert the memory stick into the USB port
and activate Photo upload function in the
controller menu.
It is possible to upload up to 8 photos. When
uploading new photos, the old ones are
automatically removed from the controller
memory.
• Idle time
This function is used to defi ne the time after
which the screensaver is activated.
• Slide show frequency
This option is used to set the frequency at
which the photos are displayed on the screen
if the Slide show is activated.
Screen brightness at daytime / screen brightness at nighttime
After tapping on screen brightness icon, the
user may adjust the screen brightness (in

VII.c) Alarm clock settings
This submenu is used to activate and edit the
alarm clock function.
The alarm clock may be activated
once or on selected days of the week – select
the days in Alarm day option.
VII.d) Controller settings
Room temperature sensor
The following functions concern the built-in temperature sensor:
Hysteresis:
This function is used to defi ne tolerance of the pre-set temperature in order to prevent
undesired oscillation in case of small temperature fl uctuation (within the range 0 ÷
10⁰C) with the accuracy of 0,1°C.
Example: if the pre-set temperature is 23⁰C and the hysteresis is 1⁰C, the room temperature
is considered too low when it drops to 22⁰C.
Calibration
Calibration should be performed while mounting or after the regulator has been
used for a long time, if the room temperature measured by the sensor diff ers from
the actual temperature. Calibration setting range is from -10˚C to +10˚C with the
accuracy of 0,1˚C.
Registration
This function is used to register UFHTFTM room regulator in a selected zone. It should be
activated after a corresponding function in UFH8ZMP Wiring Centre has been activated -
see: UFH8ZMP instruction manual.

VII.e) Protections
Tapping on Protections icon in the main menu
opens up a screen enabling the user to confi gure
the parental lock function. When this function is
activated by selecting Automatic blockade on,
the user may set the PIN code necessary to
access to the controller menu.
NOTE
0000 is the default PIN code.
VII.f) Language
This function is sued to select the language version.
VII.g) About the program
When this option is selected, the screen
displays the controller manufacturer’s logo and
the current software version.
VIII. Protections
UFHTFTM room temperature regulator signalises all the alarms which occur in UFHTFTM
Wiring Centre. In case of an alarm, a sound signal is activated and the regulator display
shows the same message as the external controller display.
In the event of temperature sensor damage, the display shows the following message:
„Room temperature sensor damaged”.
IX. Software update
NOTE
Software update shall be conducted only by a qualifi ed fi tter. After the software
has been updated, it is not possible to restore previous settings.
In order to install new software, the controller must be unplugged from the power supply.
Next, insert the memory stick with the new software into the USB port. Connect the
controller to the power supply. A single sound signal signalises that the software update
process has been initiated.
