Step 1: The pump should be placed indoors and in a dust free, dry and well ventilated location. Protect from sun, rain, snow, flooding, dirt, and excess heat.
The base of the air pump should be a minimum of 3 inches above the water level of the pond to avoid flooding the pump due to siphon effect.
Step 2: Connect the air tubing to the outlets of the PA Series Air Pump. Make sure the air tube is not twisted or kinked. Avoid long distances of air tube over
15 feet to keep the air pump cool. Cut the air tube to the shortest length possible.
Step 3: Install the check valves between the air pump and the air stones. Make sure the arrow on the check valve is pointing to the air stones, and
avoid flooding the pump due to siphon effect. Place the air stones in the bottom of the pond and the ideal depth is 3 feet or less.
Step 4: Plug into the power 110-120V GFCI protected outlet. Do not use extension cords.

INSTALLATION
OPERATION & MAINTENANCE
When the air pressure drops (wear & tear), change the diaphragm set to bring the air pump back to work.
It is recommended to change the diaphragm set once a year to maintain optimal flow. Be sure to unplug the power before doing the replacement.
Step 1: Remove the six screws (item #12) located at the bottom and open the pump cover (item #1)
Step 2: Remove the screw (item #10) and holding plate (item #11) that secure the diaphgram set (item #6) to the base.
Step 3: Installing the new diaphragm set, and the reassemble all parts by reversed orders.
Note: Don’t place the air stones at the bottom of the pond in winter. The fish are overwintering in the deeper portions of the pond.
Instead, place the air stones about 1 to 1-1/2ft below the water surface.
