
Introduction:
Portable audio products are everywhere, reflecting demand from active people
all over the world to take their music with them. Porsche offers an optional
3.5mm jack for the CDR30 and CDR31 Radio which may be satisfactory to
some, but those looking for a better solution we offer the USB-CDR30.The USB-
CDR30 replaces the optional 3.5mm jack and allows the user to play and
charge all Apple lightning devices without sacrificing the look and feel of the
dashboard components.
Installation:
Warning! Although not critical, we recommend disconnecting the car battery.
1. Remove CDR30/31 radio from dashboard to gain access to the
connectors. (Radio removal not covered in these instructions)
2. With radio removed disconnect factory Quadlock plug (harness) from
Radio (See Fig. 1 )

3. To remove radio plug, push up on tab (indicated by black arrow in Fig.
2) and pull outwards on lock release
4. Connect installation harness plug to radio (See To radio in Fig. 3)
5. Disconnect the 12-pin green and blue mini-Quadlock plugs from
factory plug (See Fig. 1)
Warning! CDR30/31 radios with factory AUX and Bluetooth will have both a
blue and green 12-pin mini-Quadlock (Green for AUX and blue for Bluetooth).
The AUX mini-Quadlock remains disconnected and replaced with the black 12-
pin mini-Quadlock from Adapter. (See Fig. 2)
6. Reconnect 12-pin blue mini-Quadlock plug (from step 5) to adapter
harness (To Radio in Fig. 3)

Green sub-plug remains disconnected (See Fig. 2)
7. Connect factory plug (from step 2) to mating connector on Adapter
harness (To Car in Fig. 3)
