power tool will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of
purchase. SELLER’S SOLE OBLIGATION AND BUYER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY SHALL BE THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF PARTS, WITHOUT CHARGE, WHICH ARE
DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP. ANY PARTS AS DETERMINED BY THE SELLER WHICH

WHEELS AND OTHER RELATED ITEMS. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS This cordless drill has been manufactured in accordance with the
applicable standards and equipment safety legislation. When using electrical appliances, it is
important to take safety precautions to avoid possible injury and damage. For that reason, you
should carefully read and store these instructions so that this information is available at all times.
Work Area
1. Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. D
o not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presences of flammable
liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks, which can ignite dust or fumes.
3. Keep bystanders, children and visitors away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to loose control.
Electrical Safety
4. Don't expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electrical shock.
5. Do not abuse the power cord. Never use the cord to carry the charger or pull the plug from
the outlet. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace damaged
cords immediately. Damaged cords increase the risk of electrical shock.
Personal Safety
6. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
7. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
8. Use approved safety equipment Wear ANSI Z87.1 compliant safety glasses at all times.
Power tools can propel foreign objects and debris into your eyes. Wear Breathing Mask. When
performing any work that generates dust, use a breathing mask. See California Proposition 65
warning inside this manual. Wear Hearing Protection. Drilling into some materials can produce
dangerous noise levels causing physical damage to the inner ear or loss of hearing.
Wear Hard Hat. When working overhead wear protective head gear.
9. Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is off before plugging into outlet. Carrying tools
with your finger on the switch or plugging in tools with the switch on invites accidents.
10.Remove adjustment keys, tools or switches before operating the tool. A wrench or a key
that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool may result in personal injury.
11. Keep proper footing and balance at all times and do not overreach. Wear non-skid safety
shoes. Proper footing and balance enables better control of the tool in unexpected situations.
Tool Use
12. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application.The correct tool will do the job
better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
13.Do not use tool if power switch does not turn it on or off. Any tool that cannot be controlled
with the switch is dangerous and must be replaced.
14.Remove the battery pack before making any adjustment, changing accessories or storing
the tool. Such preventative safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.
15.Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in
the hands of untrained users.

maintenance, making any adjustment, installing or changing accessories.
1.Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools, with
sharp edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
2.Always keep your drill surface free from oil, dust and dirt.
3.Remove the battery pack before cleaning the drill.
4.Do not use caustic cleaning agents or solvents to clean the plastic housing.
5.Do not submerge or pour water on the tool at any time.

NOTE: Each cordless tool is supplied with a battery pack and charger. Please adhere to the
following guidelines:

accordance with legislation on batteries, to the dealer or to the service center.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY AND CHARGER
Before using the charger and battery pack, read the Instruction Manual carefully.
WARNING! : CHEMICAL HAZARD. Do not open battery pack casing. Protect the
battery pack from impacts. If electrolyte leakage occurs from the battery, it is essential
to avoid contact with skin. If electrolyte does come into contact with your skin, rinse off
with water immediately. In the event of electrolyte contact with your eyes,
consult a physician immediately.
1. Verify the available current corresponds to current required by battery charger.
2. Verify correct polarity (+/-) before inserting the battery pack into the charger.
3. Do not use battery charger outdoors. Never let moisture, rain, or splashed water reach
the charging location.
4. Do not charge battery pack when the temperature is below 10oC (50oF) or
above 40oC (105oF). Charging battery at extreme temperatures can cause shorter battery life.
5. Damaged battery packs or batteries no longer accepting a charge must be disposed of as
hazardous waste. Do not throw the battery pack into the trash, into fire, or into water. See
Battery Recycling section for disposal information.
6. Do not operate charger with a damaged electrical cable or housing. Charger with damaged
electrical cable is non-serviceable and must be replaced with a new one.
7. Use only battery packs and chargers approved by manufacturer for use in tools. Approved
battery packs and chargers are listed in the Accessories section of this manual.
8. Always keep the charger free from dust and dirt.
9. Always remove battery pack before working on the tool.
10. Cover the battery pack contacts to avoid short-circuiting.
11. Avoid the risk of explosion! Do not throw Ni-Cd batteries into water or fire.
12.NO SMOKING in battery charging or storage areas. Damaged NiCAD or NiMH Batteries may
vent the explosive gas hydrogen that can ignite on exposure to any naked flame or spark.
13.FIRE CONTROL In the event of fire, smother flames with earth or sand.
16.Check for misalignment, binding or breakage of moving parts, and any other condition
that could adversely affect the tools operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced before
using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
17.Accessories and Additional Devices. Use only accessories and additional devices specified
in the operating instructions or are recommended by the tool manufacturer. The use of any
insert tool or accessories other than those recommended increase risk of injury.
WARNINGS!
CAUTION: ALWAYS START DRILL ON THE LOWEST SETTING. If the correct setting has been
chosen, the override clutch opens once the screw has been turned flush into the material.
When removing screws, select a higher setting or set to drill symbol. The proper settings
are best determined in practical trials.
To drill into metal: If possible, punch the drilling position first, to prevent drill-bit run away.
Use a suitable coolant and/or cutting oil. Coolants and cutting oils are generally available at
most Hardware Stores and Home Centers.
WARNING: HEARING HAZARD. Drilling in some materials
may produce noise output exceeding 85dB (A) at the workplace.
In this instance, wear hearing protection.

Torque Adjustments
1.(SEE FIGURE 5) The tightening power of your
drill/driver is adjustable to various levels of
driving power. Generally the larger the screw
diameter the higher the torque power setting
is required to drive the screw until it is
properly seated.
Setting Material/Hardware
1 to 2: For driving small screws.
3 to 4: For driving screws into soft
materials or plastics.
5 to 10: For driving screws into soft woods.
11 to 14: For driving screws into medium/hard woods.
15 to 16: For powerful screw driving.
: For drilling metal, wood or using spade (Hole) bits.
2.To adjust rotate the torque adjustment ring (2) until the
desired setting number is aligned with the indicator arrow (1).

5.Charge battery pack for 3-5 hours to reach a full charge. The battery pack and power supply
unit will warm up during the charging process. This is not a malfunction.
CAUTION: Do not charge the battery for more than 7 hours.
Overcharging may shorten life of the battery pack.
6.After battery pack is fully charged, unplug the charger base (2) by disconnecting
the AC adapter from the outlet.
7.Remove the battery pack from the charger base.
Recharging Battery
Charge the battery for 3-5 hours from a fully discharged condition.
(Follow steps 1 - 7 for charging battery.) Do not repeatedly recharge battery pack after using
briefly (15 minutes or less).

Battery Pack Installation & Removal:
1(SEE FIGURE 1) Insert charged battery pack (2)
into tool handle (1) and secure with
release buttons (3).
NOTE: There are release buttons on both sides
of the battery. The spring must snap into place
before the battery is safely secured.
2.Separate the battery (2) from the tool handle (1)
by pressing the release buttons (3) and pulling
the battery away from the tool.
Charging Battery Pack
The battery pack must be charged before first
time use. The battery pack only reaches its full
capacity after several charges.
1.(SEE FIGURE 2) Plug the AC adapter (1) into a
standard 110/120v~60Hz power outlet .
2.Plug the DC connector plug (4) from the AC
adapter into the charging base (2).
3 Carefully insert the battery pack (5) into the
charger base (2). The battery pack fits in one
direction, do not force the battery pack
into the base.
4.Verify indicator light (3) is lit, if indicator light
does not turn on, ensure AC adapter and DC
connector plug are securely connected .
NOTE: The indicator light will come on and
remain on until, power is removed from adapter
or battery pack is removed from charger base.
If the battery pack reaches a temperature over 40oC (+105oF), the battery charger indicator
light will turn off for self protection. The indicator light will turn back on when battery pack
temperature cools down.

Inserting Drill Bits and Screwdriver Bits:
WARNING: PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD. Make sure
the tool is turned off and the battery is removed before
changing bits or
making any adjustments to the tool.
1.(SEE FIGURE 3) To insert a drill bit, screwdriver bit or
other accessory, grasp the back section of the chuck (2)
and rotate the front section (1) counter clockwise to
open (viewed from the chuck opening).
2.Insert bit into drill chuck opening until it stops.
3.Firmly rotate the front section (1) clockwise to secure
the bit. Verify drill bit is firmly seated in the drill chuck
before operating.
NOTE: Select screwdriver bits appropriate to the screw
head in order to avoid damage to screw heads.
Forward & Reversing Switch:
1.(SEE FIGURE 4) Set rotation direction switch (1)
to the right for counter clockwise rotation or
to the left for clockwise rotation.
2.When On/Off switch is activated, rotation
direction switch is locked.
CAUTION: Always check the direction of rotation
before use. Do not attempt to change rotation
direction while the tool is in operation.
Variable Speed On/Off Switch:
1.(SEE FIGURE 4) Set rotation direction switch (1)
to desired position.
To start the drill: Press On/Off switch (2).
Rotation speed will increase as the trigger is pressed.
To stop the drill: Release On/Off switch (2).
Varying the Speed
To increase the speed: apply pressure to the On/Off switch by slowly squeezing inward.
To decrease the speed: release the pressure on the On/Off switch .
CAUTION: Drilling with the lowest rotation speed for an extended period, increases the danger
of overheating the drill's motor. Allow cooling time of approximately 15 minutes between
extended drilling periods.
