Product Specifications
All Power Vac vacuums and carts are proudly manufactured by hand in America.
We also support American vendors by purchasing items within the United States.
Both the PV2100 & PV2500 have a have a 6” throat. These vacuums have a 20” x
11” cleaning path and pump approximately 14,000 gallons per hour. Includes a 40’
or 60’ floating power cord. They are recommended for residential pools and
fountains. This vacuum can be portable or used on a cart.
The PV2200 has an 8” throat. This vacuum has a 20” x 11” cleaning path and
pumps approximately 16,000 gallons per hour. It includes a 40’ or 60’ floating
power cord. This vacuum is recommended for residential and commercial use. It is
highly recommended that this vacuum be purchased with a large cart (item# 040-
D-40 or 040-D-60) as it requires a 45 -75 pound battery.
The PV3000 has an 8” throat. This vacuum has a 40” x 11” cleaning path and
pumps approximately 16,000 gallons per hour. Includes a 75’ floating power cord.
This vacuum is recommended for water parks and resorts. It is highly
recommended to be purchased with the mini cart (item# 003000-D-S)as it requires a
45 pound battery.
All vacuumshave an anti-rust 30 poundthrust motor. As well as a custom cut 2-
blade, no clog propeller, designed to pick up heavy debris.
A custom-designed aluminum handle for your telescopic pole comes standard with
every vacuum.
With an exception of the PV2500, all of our vacuums come with a safety lid. This
important little flap traps debris inside the filter bag once the vacuum shuts off,
preventing it from flowing back out. It also protects your hands from the spinning
propeller.
Ergonomic battery case with built-in fuse allows battery to shut off, preventing
overheating.
A charging plug comes standard with all units. This plug attaches to your battery
charger for easy charging. See page 4 for installation directions.
Power Vac filter bags come in a wide variety of sizes & mesh materialable to filter
anything from rocks and glass to hair and diatomaceous earth.

DO NOT PLUG UNIT INTO WALL OUTLET! 12V USEAGE ONLY!
WARNING!
BATTERIES CONTAIN SULFURIC ACID WHICH CAN CAUSE SEVERE BURNS. AVOID CONTACT
WITH SKIN, EYES, AND CLOTHING. BATTERY ACID PRODUCES HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN GASES
WHILE CHARGING. THE EXPLOSIVE GAS ESCAPES THROUGH THE FILL/VENT CELL CAPS AND
MAY FORM AN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE AROUND THE BATTERY IF VENTILATION IS POOR.
THIS GAS MAY REMAIN AROUND THE BATTERY FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER IT HAS BEEN
CHARGED. SPARKS OF FLAMES CAN IGNITE THE GAS AND CAUSE AN EXPLOSION WHICH MAY
SHATTER THE BATTERY AND CAUSE BLINDNESS OR OTHER SERIOUS INJURY. ALWAYS CHARGE
BATTERIES IN AN OPEN AIR AREA TO LOWER THE RISK OF A FIRE OR EXPLOSION. NEVER
CHARGE BATTERY ON A SETTING HIGHER THAN TEN (10) AMPS. IF BATTERY USE REQUIRES
WATER CHECK IT BEFORE CHARGING THE BATTERY.

Equipment Maintenance
Important tips on keeping your vacuum in top shape:
1. CLEAN PROPELLER (PROP) REGULARLY.UNPLUG THE VACUUM!
Unscrew the nut (see fig 1) and clear prop of any debris (see fig 2). If
removing the pin inserted between the motor shaft make sure to
replace it immediately. When screwing the nut back on to prop do not
over tighten.
Failure to regularly clean prop may cause motor to lock up. In some
cases the debris will make its way down into the motor armature.
Do not put fingers near prop while motor is running! Serious injury may
occur!
Figure 1 Figure 2
2. WRAP POWER CORD PROPERLY AFTER EVERY USE (see Fig 3). Keep
power cord in good condition and free of kinks, to ensure optimal
performance. Allowing your power cord to knot and kink may result in one
or more areas on cord where power shortages occur.
Figure 3
3. DO NOT RUN THE VACUUM OUT OF WATER FOR MORE THAN 20
SECONDS. Our motors our designed to operate under water. Running
the motor while out of water may cause motor to overheat.

Purchasing Replacement Parts
For your convenience all parts on your Power Vac equipment are
replaceable. This will allow you to keep your vacuum in working
condition for years to come without having to replace the entire unit. It
is recommended to replace all parts as needed for general maintenance
to ensure your equipment’s performance and longevity. For a full list of
parts see pages 16-21.
POWER VAC CORPORATION DOES NOT SELL TO THE PUBLIC.
PLEASE VISIT OUR WEB SITE FOR A LIST OF DISTRIBUTORS TO PURCHASE FROM.
Page 15
4. DO NOT PICK THE VACUUM UP BY THE CORD. Use the white carrying
handle on the side. Pulling on the power cord or picking vacuum up by
power cord can jeopardize the water tight seals installed on cord and
motor. When a leak occurs, the motor can cease from water damage.
5. KEEP CHARGING POSTS ON BATTERY FREE OF CORROSION.Properly
caring for your battery will extend its life. Make sure to charge it
daily.USE A 12V 6 AMP OR 12V 10 AMP CHARGE ONLY.
6. IF YOU NOTICE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE OR
APPEARANCE, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE YOUR
PARTS.It is important to keep your male and female plugs in top
operating condition. Also make sure all 4 caster wheels are in good
shape.
Replace Safety Lid As Needed.
Failure to do so may result in injury!
It is a safety device!
NEVER PUT FINGERS NEAR PROP WHILE VACUUM IS ON!
It is important to replace your safety lid at the top of the vacuum unit
because it has two very important jobs:
1. It acts as a check valve, preventing debris from falling thru the
bag and onto the pool floor if the vacuum shuts off underwater.
2. It protects your fingers from injury by the spinning propeller.
This part is ITEM# 017-D or 018-D (see pages 16, 17 & 19). We
recommend always having a few extras on hand.
Page 8

Caring For Your Service Cart
1. Grease wheel bearings at least once a month using an industrial
lubricant.
2. Rinse down cart at the end of every day. This will help prevent
chemicalerosion.
3. For 2012 model & older:Look over all bolts to make sure they are
screwed in tightly.
4. Store in a dry place out of the sun at the end of the day.
5. Check battery once a month for any acid leaks.
6. Look over male and female plug frequently for any sign of
damage. Replace as needed.

Troubleshooting
1. My vacuum turns on but my propeller will not spin.
-UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM!Unscrew the prop nut on the propeller,
remove prop and clear any debris that may be wrapped around
the motor shaft. This may be causing the motor to lock up.
2. The power goes on and off when I wiggle the plug in the battery
outlet.
-Inspect the plug on your power cord. Is it in good condition?
Good condition = no corrosion or burnt spots. With repeated use
this plug can get worn out and cause power shortages to your
vacuum. If your power cord plug is damaged in any way, it is
recommended that you replace it.
3. My vacuum will not run.
-Make sure battery is charged and cord is plugged in all the way.
-Has the fuse/breaker in your battery box popped? If so then
press it in to reset.
Follow the directions in step 1 & 2.
-Inspect battery connectors for corrosion.
-If you have been picking up the vacuum by its cord, and not the
provided carrying handle, the water tight seals inside the cord
and motor are most likely taking on water. When this happens
corrosion begins and the motor or cord can fail. At this point you
will need to replace the damaged parts.
