My Joypads won’t connect or charge
You may need to reset the joypad. is can be done by pressing the sync button
15 times in a row to recover the factory settings. You will then need to sync the
joypads back to the Switch console.

Go into the Controller settings via Home Page > Controllers > Change
Grip/Order. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect.
