INSTALLATION
BATTERY (see illustration I)
You can put 3 AAA batteries (not included) in the appliance in order to save all memo
rised information in the event of current interruption.
ATTENTION!
The batteries only serve to save all memorised information and do NOT power the ma
chine during a current interruption.
Except for the fact that all messages will be lost in the case of a current interruption, the
absence of batteries will have no adverse effects for the normal functioning of the ap
pliance.
ALWAYS INSERT THE BATTERIES AFTER CONNECTION OF ADAPTOR!
• Remove the screw located in the battery compartment on the bottom of the base and lift the
battery compartment door.
• Install three AAA 4.5V batteries.
• Close the battery compartment and screw it down again.
The BATT LOW indicator (2) will start blinking when:
• There are no batteries in the appliance.
• The batteries have not been placed properly.
• The batteries are flat and need to be replaced.
CONNECTION (see illustration II)
• Plug the telephone line cord into your telephone wall jack.
• If you want to use your PR970 in combination with an extension telephone, plug one end of
the extension telephone line cord to the extension line jack. Plug the other end into the
telephone.
If your telephone does not have a modular plug, insert the telephone plug of your telephone
together with the telephone plug of the answering machine directly in the wall socket of
your telephone connection.
• Connect the AC adaptor into the back of the appliance. Plug the other end into the AC wall
power outlet.
ON/OFF SWITCH
•The PR970 is switched on by pressing the ANSWER ON/OFF button (3).
• If you do not want your appliance to answer calls, press the ANSWER ON/OFF button again.
All indicators will turn off.
VOLUME CONTROL (1)
Use the digital VOLUME CONTROL on the right side of the appliance to set the volume to
the desired sound level.

RECORDING THE GREETING
After the answering machine has been installed, you can record your personal greeting. This is
intended for the people who call you in your absence. The maximum recording time of the outgoing
message is 30 seconds.
The PR970 comes with a prerecorded outgoing greeting: “Hello, please leave your message after
the beep.”
This message will AUTOMATICALLY switch on if you have not recorded your personal greeting.
• Press and hold the GREETING button (10).
• After you hear one beep, speak clearly towards the appliance.
• When finished, release the GREETING button.
• The unit will beep once and play back your recorded greeting. The message LED indicators
(5,6) will be lit solid to indicate the unit is in Answer On mode.
Note:
The PR970 has two personalised mailboxes. You have an option to have callers leave messages in
either of the two mailboxes.
If you want the caller to leave a message in a particular mailbox, your greeting should instruct
the callers to press either “1#” or “2#” before their message recording. If the caller doesn’t press
a key, presses a key other than “1#” or “2#”, or waits longer than 3 seconds before pressing a key,
the caller’s message will be automatically recorded in Mailbox 1.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR YOUR GREETING AGAIN?
• To check the greeting, press and release the GREETING button (10) quickly.
• Your outgoing greeting will be played back to you, and then your system will reset to answer
incoming calls.
SETTING DAY AND TIME
If you wish, you can set DAY and TIME.
AFTER each recorded incoming message the PR970 records the day and the time of reception of
the recorded incoming message.
When setting the Time/Day, do not allow more than 20 seconds to elapse between any step:
Day Set
• Press and hold the TIME SET/REPEAT button (4) for 2 seconds. The unit will say “Monday”.
• Press the ANSWER ON/OFF button (3) until you hear the correct day. To return to the previous
day, press the MAIL 1 (7) or MAIL 2 button (8).
Hour Set
• Once you hear the correct day, press the TIME SET/REPEAT button to set the hour. The unit
will say “Twelve”.
• Press the ANSWER ON/OFF button until you hear the correct hour.
To return to the previous hour, press the MAIL 1 or MAIL 2 button.

Minute Set
• Once you hear the correct hour, press the TIME SET/REPEAT button to set the minute. The
unit will say “0” (which sounds like “oh”).
• Press the ANSWER ON/OFF button until you hear the correct minute. To return to the previous
minute, press the MAIL 1 or MAIL 2 button.
AM/PM Set
• Once you hear the correct minute, press the TIME SET/REPEAT button to set AM/PM. The
unit will say “AM”.
• Press the ANSWER ON/OFF button. The unit will say “PM”. Press the MAIL 1 or MAIL 2 button
to return to “AM”.
• Once you hear the correct AM/PM setting, press the TIME SET/REPEAT button to complete
the procedure. The unit will announce the day and time that is now set.
To check the current day and time, press and release the TIME SET/REPEAT button. If you did not
set the Voice Time/Day Stamp, the unit will say “Time is not set”.
RECORDING INCOMING MESSAGES
The total recording time of the PR970 amounts to approximately 15 minutes.
The maximum digital recording time for each incoming message is 60 seconds.
When the message LED indicators (5,6) blink, you have received new messages.
Ring Select
You can select the number of rings in which a call will be answered.
Do you wish the PR970 to switch on after two rings?
• Set the RING SELECT to setting 2.
Do you want the PR970 to switch on only after the phone has rung 4 times, so that, when you are
in, you have enough time to take the call before the PR970 does?
• Set the RING SELECT to setting 4.
The PR970 also enables you to listen to your messages from a remote phone. To avoid unnecessary
toll charges, you can switch the RING SELECT switch to the TS (Toll Saver) setting.
• In the TS position, the PR970 will pick up the first message on the fourth ring.
• For the second and all following messages, the appliance will pick up on the second ring.
• If you wish to listen to your PR970 from a remote phone and you hear 3 rings, hang up
immediately. This means that you have no new messages.
ATTENTION!
If you have no preference as to the number of rings, we advise you to set the RING
SELECT switch to the TS setting.
Note:
The PR970 signals the caller when the message capacity is full. When the message capacity is
full, the unit will answer with 3 beeps on the 10th ring, pause 20 seconds, and then automatically
disconnect the telephone line.

RECORDING MEMO MESSAGE
You can record a memo message, for another member of your household, in either of the two
mailboxes (Mailbox 1 or Mailbox 2). It will be played back, along with other messages, in the
corresponding mailbox.
To Record Memo
• Press and hold one of the MAIL 1 (7) or MAIL 2 (8) buttons.
• A beep will sound and all the message LED indicators will turn off. Record your message (up
to 60 seconds) through the microphone in the speaker holes.
• When your message is completed, release the button. A beep will sound.
INTERRUPTING A RECORDING CALL
The integrated loudspeaker enables you to hear the message while the caller is recording it. If
you decide to take the call yourself after all, simply lift the telephone handset. The PR970 will
AUTOMATICALLY stop recording and you can have a normal telephone conversation.
In some cases, the appliance might not switch off automatically. If so, you can take over the call
by:
• pressing the STOP/SAVE button (9) after having picked up the handset. The PR970 will now
stop recording and you can have a normal conversation.
ATTENTION!
The PR970 will automatically stop recording as soon as the caller hangs up. To avoid
wasting recording time, the machine will also automatically stop recording if there is a
silence for more than 7 seconds.
MESSAGE PLAYBACK
To Hear Your Messages
• Press and release the corresponding Mailbox button on your unit.
• The PR970 will automatically playback your messages in the order they were received.
• Your PR970 will automatically stop and sound 3 beeps after the last message has been played
back.
ATTENTION!
New incoming messages will replace old messages unless you follow the save procedure.
To Stop Message Playback
During message playback, press and release the STOP/SAVE button (9). Your PR970 will reset and
will save all messages.

To Repeat the Current Message
During playback, press and quickly release the TIME SET/REPEAT button (4) ONCE.
To Repeat the Previous Message
During playback, press and quickly release TIME SET/REPEAT button (4) TWICE within 2 seconds.
To Skip the Current Message
During playback, press and quickly release the respective SKIP button.
SAVING MESSAGES
To Save All of Your Messages
If you wish to save your messages after listening to them:
After the last message has played back, and 3 beeps sound, press and release the STOP/SAVE
button. Both Mail 1 and Mail 2 LED indicators will flash rapidly for 20 seconds.
Within this period, press MAIL 1 button to save Mailbox 1 messages or press MAIL 2 button to
save Mailbox 2 messages.
To Save Selected Messages
If you wish to save a particular message (but not ALL of the messages), press the ANSWER ON/OFF
button (3) during playback of the message. After you press the ANSWER ON/OFF button to save a
particular message, the corresponding MAIL 1 or MAIL 2 LED will blink rapidly during the remaining
playback of that message.
IMPORTANT!
You must follow the above “SAVE” procedure each time you listen to your incoming messages and
before the system answers a new incoming call or all messages will be lost.
REMOTE CONTROL
To access answering functions from an outside line, you will need to enter the threedigit security
code located on the bottom of your unit.
ATTENTION!
These functions can only be used if you call your PR970 from a tone phone. You can be certain
that you are using a tone phone if you hear short beeps when dialling.
With a pulse phone (which clicks when dialling) you cannot use these functions.
Remote Turn On
If you forget to turn on your unit:
• Call your answering machine from a remote phone.
• The appliance will automatically turn on after 10 rings.
• You may hang up and subsequent calls will be answered in accordance with ring select.

Remote Message Playback
• Call your unit from a touchtone telephone.
• After your PR970 answers, it plays the outgoing greeting and beeps once. Dial your three
digit security code within 20 seconds after the beep, pressing and holding each digit for 1
2 seconds. Allow a 2second interval between each digit.
• Your PR970 will sound one beep to indicate the code was entered correctly. If there are no
beeps, enter your code again.
• Then you can press "1#" or "2#" on your keypad and the PR970 will playback the messages
recorded in Mailbox 1 or Mailbox 2, respectively.
Remote Record New Greeting
The PR970 enables you to change your outgoing greeting from a remote phone.
• Call your unit from a touchtone telephone.
• After your PR970 answers, it plays the outgoing greeting and beeps once. Dial your three
digit security code within 20 seconds after the beep, pressing and holding each digit for 1
2 seconds. Allow a 2second interval between each digit.
• Your PR970 will sound one beep to indicate the code was entered correctly. If there are no
beeps, enter your code again.
• Press "8#".
• When you hear a beep, begin recording your new greeting (up to 30 seconds).
• When you have finished recording your new greeting, press "5#".
• The unit will beep, and the new greeting will playback to you.
• Hang up the telephone.
Remote Record Memo
• Call your unit from a touchtone telephone.
• After your PR970 answers, it plays the outgoing greeting and beeps once. Dial your three
digit security code within 20 seconds after the beep, pressing and holding each digit for 1
2 seconds. Allow a 2second interval between each digit.
• Your PR970 will sound one beep to indicate the code was entered correctly. If there are no
beeps, enter your code again.
• Press "3#". Then within three seconds of pressing "3#" press "1#" or "2#" to select Mailbox
1 or Mailbox 2. Otherwise the memo will be recorded in Mailbox 1.
• When you hear a beep, begin recording your memo (up to 60 seconds).
• When you have finished recording your memo message, press "5#".
Remote Turn Off Answer On
If you forget to turn off the answer mode of your PR970, you can do this from a remote phone.
• Call your unit from a touchtone telephone.
• After your PR970 answers, it plays the outgoing greeting and beeps once. Dial your three
digit security code within 20 seconds after the beep, pressing and holding each digit for 1
2 seconds. Allow a 2second interval between each digit.
• Your PR970 will sound one beep to indicate the code was entered correctly. If there are no
beeps, enter your code again.
• Press "9#".
• You can now hang up.

Repeat Current Message
• Press "4#" WHILE you are listening to the message. The message will be played again.
• All following messages will then be played as usual and will be memorised when you hang
up.
Erase Current Message
• Press "0#" WHILE you are listening to the message you wish to erase. The message will be
played to the end.
• The following messages can be erased in the same way.
• When you hang up, the message(s) will be automatically erased.
Repeat Previous Message
• Press "4#" repeatedly WHILE you are listening to the message. The previous message will be
played again.
• All following messages will then be played as usual and will be memorised when you hang
up.
Stop Message Playback
• Press "5#" WHILE you are listening to the message.
• All messages will be memorised when you hang up.
Skip to Next Message
• Press "6#" WHILE you are listening to the message. The next message will be played.
• All following messages will then be played as usual and will be memorised when you hang
up.
IMPORTANT!
If your appliance is not operating properly before contacting a Service Center we advise you to
do a "RESET" of your unit. In many cases, the appliance will again function normally after you
have done this.
To reset unit:
• Unplug the telephone line from the wall jack.
• Unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet.
• Remove the AAA batteries, and then replace.
• Plug the AC adapter back into the power outlet.
• Plug the telephone line back into the wall jack.
• Record a new outgoing greeting or you can use the prerecorded announcement.
• Reset the Voice Day/Time Stamp.
ATTENTION!
This RESET erases all information (e.g. programmed day and time indication, outgoing greeting,
etc. will be erased)!

INSTALLEREN
BATTERIJ (zie afbeelding I)
U kunt 3 AAA batterijen (niet meegeleverd) in het apparaat aanbrengen, om in geval van een
stroompanne de opgeslagen informatie te bewaren.
LET OP !
De batterijen dienen slechts om informatie in het geheugen te bewaren en NIET om het
toestel te laten functioneren tijdens een stroomstoring.
Behalve dat alle berichten verloren gaan bij een stroomuitval heeft het NIET plaatsen van de
batterijen geen nadelige gevolgen voor de verdere werking van het toestel.
! De batterijen pas aanbrengen nadat de adapter is aangesloten.
ÆHET PLAATSEN VAN DE BATTERIJEN
• Draai het schroefje van het batterijencompartiment los.
• Schuif het batterijdeksel naar beneden.
•Plaats de 3 AAA batterijen van 4,5 V zoals aangegeven.
• Sluit het batterijencompartiment en draai het schroefje weer vast.
Het ‘BATT LOW’ lampje (2) gaat knipperen in volgende gevallen :
•Er zijn geen batterijen geplaatst.
•De batterijen werden foutief geplaatst.
•De batterijen zijn leeg en dienen vervangen te worden.
AANSLUITEN (zie afbeelding II)
• Klik de doorzichtige aansluitplug van het telefoonsnoer in de telefoonstekker. Deze
telefoonstekker kan nu in de wandcontactdoos van uw telefoonaansluitpunt worden
gestoken.
• Als u de PR970 in combinatie met een telefoontoestel wil gebruiken, kunt u de
doorzichtige plug van uw telefoontoestel in de ‘PHONE JACK’ van de PR970 aansluiten.
Het andere uiteinde klikt u in het telefoontoestel op de daarvoor bestemde plaats.
Heeft uw telefoontoestel geen aansluitpunt, dan plaatst u de telefoonstekker van de
telefoon samen met de telefoonstekker van het antwoordapparaat rechtstreeks in de
wandcontactdoos.
• Steek de ronde aansluitplug van de adapter in de AC-aansluiting aan de achterzijde
van het toestel. Steek het andere uiteinde van dit snoer in de wandcontactdoos.
AAN/UIT-SCHAKELAAR
• U schakelt de PR970 aan door op de ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ - toets (3) te drukken.
• Indien u niet wenst dat oproepen beantwoord worden, schakelt u het toestel uit door
op ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ - toets (3) te drukken. Alle lampjes zijn dan uit.
DE VOLUMESCHAKELAAR (1)
Met de digitale VOLUME CONTROLE rechts op het apparaat kunt U het volume instellen op
het door U gewenste geluidsniveau.

DE MELDTEKST OPNEMEN
Als het antwoordapparaat geïnstalleerd is, kunt U zelf een begroetingstekst inspreken.
Die is bedoeld voor de mensen die U bellen tijdens uw afwezigheid. De meldtekst die U
opneemt mag maximaal 30 seconden duren.
De PR970 wordt geleverd met een van tevoren opgenomen begroeting: ‘Hello, please leave
your message after the beep’.
Deze boodschap wordt AUTOMATISCH geactiveerd als U zelf geen tekst hebt ingesproken.
• Druk op de knop voor de BEGROETING (10) en hou deze ingedrukt.
• Zodra U de piep hebt gehoord, kan u de begroeting inspreken, duidelijk verstaanbaar
in de richting van het apparaat.
• Als U klaar bent, laat U de knop voor de BEGROETING weer los.
• Het apparaat laat dan nog een piep horen en speelt de door U opgenomen tekst af. De
lampjes die aangeven dat er een boodschap is (5,6) zullen blijven branden, om aan te
geven dat het apparaat in de antwoordmodus staat (de Answer Mode).
Opmerking:
De PR970 is voorzien van twee Mailboxen. U kunt de oproepen die U ontvangt omleiden
naar één van beide mailboxen.
Als U wilt dat iemand zijn boodschap in een bepaalde MAILBOX achterlaat, dient U in uw
ingesproken MELDtekst op te nemen dat de bellers ‘1#’ of ‘2#’ moeten indrukken, alvorens
hun boodschap in te spreken. Als degene die belt niet op een toets drukt, of op een
andere toets dan ‘1#’ of ‘2#’ drukt , dan wel langer dan 3 seconden wacht alvorens de toets
in te drukken, wordt de ingesproken boodschap AUTOMATISCH opgeslagen in MAIL 1.
ÆALS U UW MELDTEKST NOGMAALS WILT BELUISTEREN
• U drukt op de knop BEGROETING (10) en laat die dan snel weer los.
• Uw begroetingstekst wordt voor U afgespeeld; nadien keert het toestel terug naar de
“Answer Mode”.
DAG EN TIJD INSTELLEN
Indien u wenst, kunt u DAG en TIJD instellen.
ACHTER elk bericht dat wordt ingesproken zal de PR970 dan automatisch dag en tijd laten
horen waarop het opgenomen bericht werd ingesproken. Tijdens het instellen van dag en
tijd heeft u steeds maximum 20 seconden om een volgende toets in te drukken. Daarna
wordt het instellen afgebroken.
DAG instellen:
• Druk op de TIME SET/REPEAT - toets (4) en hou 2 seconden ingedrukt. De PR970
meldt: ‘Monday’ (maandag).
• Druk op de ANSWER ON/OFF toets (3) totdat u de juiste dag hoort. Om één dag terug
te gaan, druk op MAIL 1 (7) of MAIL 2 (8).

UUR instellen:
• Nadat u de juiste DAG heeft gehoord, druk op de TIME SET/REPEAT - toets (4) om het
instellen van het UUR te beginnen. DE PR970 meldt: ‘TWELVE’ (twaalf).
• Druk op de ANSWER ON/OFF toets (3) totdat u het juiste uur hoort. Om één uur terug
te gaan, druk op MAIL 1 (7) of MAIL 2 (8).
MINUTEN instellen:
• Nadat u het juiste UUR heeft gehoord, druk op de TIME SET/REPEAT - toets (4) om het
instellen van de MINUTEN te beginnen. DE PR970 meldt: ‘0’ (dat klinkt als ‘Ooh’).
• Druk op de ANSWER ON/OFF toets (3) totdat u de juiste minuut hoort. Om één minuut
terug te gaan, druk op MAIL 1 (7) of MAIL 2 (8).
AM/PM instellen:
• Nadat u de juiste MINUUT heeft gehoord, druk op de TIME SET/REPEAT - toets (4) om
het instellen van AM/PM te beginnen. De PR970 meldt: ‘AM’.
• Druk op de ANSWER ON/OFF toets (3), het toestel meldt ‘PM’. Druk op MAIL 1 (7) of
MAIL 2 (8) om terug te keren naar ‘AM’.
• Zodra U hoort dat de juiste AM/PM instelling is genoemd, drukt U op de knop TIME
SET/REPEAT, om het apparaat in te stellen op AM of PM. De PR970 meldt nu de dag en
tijd die werden ingesteld.
Om te controleren of U de juiste dag en de juiste tijd hebt ingevoerd, drukt U kort op de
knop TIME SET/REPEAT. Als U de dag en tijd niet heeft ingesteld, meldt het toestel ‘Time
is not set’ (=de tijd is niet ingesteld).
OPNEMEN VAN BERICHTEN
De totale inspreektijd voor de PR970 bedraagt 15 minuten. Het aantal boodschappen dat
kan worden ingesproken is afhankelijk van de ingesproken tijd per boodschap. De maximale
inspreektijd per ingesproken bericht bedraagt 1 minuut.
Als de lampjes (5,6) branden, zijn er nieuwe boodschappen ingesproken.
INSTELLEN VAN HET AANTAL BELSIGNALEN:
U kan het aantal beltonen kiezen voordat een inkomende oproep beantwoord wordt.
Wilt u dat de PR970 na 2 belsignalen inschakelt?
• Plaats de ‘RING SELECT’ schakelaar aan de achterzijde van het toestel op stand 2.
Wilt u dat de PR970 pas na 4 belsignalen inschakelt, zodat u tijdens uw aanwezigheid
alsnog het gesprek kunt aannemen vóór de PR970 dit doet ?
• Plaats de ‘RING SELECT’ schakelaar aan de achterzijde van het toestel op stand 4.
De PR970 biedt u ook de mogelijkheid om uw berichten vanop afstand te beluisteren. Om
onnodige gesprekskosten te voorkomen kunt u de ‘RING SELECT’ schakelaar in de TS - stand
(Toll Saver) plaatsen.
• In de TS - stand zal de PR970 het eerste bericht na 4 belsignalen opnemen.
• Het tweede en elk volgend bericht zal reeds na 2 belsignalen worden opgenomen.
• Wilt U uw PR970 op afstand beluisteren en u hoort 3 belsignalen dan kunt u de
verbinding verbreken, er zijn geen berichten ingesproken.

LET OP !
Als u geen voorkeur heeft voor het aantal belsignalen, raden wij u aan om de ‘RING
SELECT’ schakelaar in de TS- stand te plaatsen.
NOTA:
De PR970 meldt wanneer de boodschappencapaciteit vol is. Wanneer er geen plaats meer
is voor nieuwe boodschappen, zal het toestel na tien keer bellen drie pieptonen laten
horen, vervolgens 20 seconden pauzeren, en daarna automatisch de verbinding verbreken.
MEMOBERICHTEN OPNEMEN
Als U iemand ergens aan wilt laten herinneren tijdens uw afwezigheid, hoeft u deze
boodschap niet op te schrijven maar kunt u die inspreken op de PR970 als MEMO- bericht
in één van de twee Mailboxen. Het zal dan afgespeeld worden zoals de andere ontvangen
berichten in de betreffende Mailbox.
INSPREKEN VAN EEN MEMO:
• Houd één van de toetsen MAIL 1 (7) of MAIL 2 (8) ingedrukt.
• Na het horen van de pieptoon doven alle lampjes, u kan nu uw MEMO bericht inspreken
(max. 60 seconden).
• Als u het bericht volledig heeft ingesproken, laat u de toets los. U hoort nu een
pieptoon.
ONDERBREKEN VAN EEN OPNAME
Via de ingebouwde luidspreker kunt u meeluisteren terwijl iemand een boodschap voor u
inspreekt. Als u tijdens het meeluisteren toch besluit om het gesprek persoonlijk aan te
nemen, kunt u de hoorn van het aangesloten toestel zoals gewoonlijk opnemen. De PR970
zal dan AUTOMATISCH uitschakelen en u kunt op normale wijze een telefoongesprek voeren.
In enkele gevallen kan het voorkomen dat de PR970 zich niet automatisch uitschakelt. U
kunt het gesprek dan overnemen door :
• Na het opnemen van de hoorn op de ‘STOP/SAVE’ - toets (9) te drukken, de PR970 zal
dan stoppen met opnemen en u kunt op normale wijze een gesprek voeren.
LET OP !
De PR970 zal de opname automatisch onderbreken nadat de opbeller de hoorn heeft
ingehaakt.
Het toestel zal de opname ook automatisch onderbreken als er gedurende 7 seconden een
stilte is. Dit om te voorkomen dat er onnodig opnametijd verloren gaat.

OPGENOMEN BERICHTEN
BELUISTEREN VAN OPGENOMEN BERICHTEN:
• Druk kort op één van de Mailbox toetsen (7 of 8).
• De PR970 speelt automatisch alle berichten in de gekozen mailbox af, in de volgorde
waarin ze ontvangen werden.
• Als alle berichten afgespeeld zijn, hoort u drie pieptonen en schakelt het toestel
terug uit.
LET OP !
ALLE opgenomen berichten worden AUTOMATISCH gewist, tenzij u de ‘SAVE’ procedure
volgt (zie verder).
AFSPELEN VAN BOODSCHAPPEN STOPPEN:
Tijdens het afspelen kan u kort de STOP/SAVE toets (9) indrukken. De PR970 keert terug
naar standby en bewaart alle berichten.
HUIDIGE BOODSCHAP HERHALEN:
Tijdens het afspelen drukt u kort éénmaal op de TIME SET/REPEAT toets (4). De boodschap
wordt opnieuw afgespeeld.
VORIGE BOODSCHAP HERHALEN:
Tijdens het afspelen drukt u kort tweemaal op de TIME SET/REPEAT toets (4). De vorige
boodschap wordt opnieuw afgespeeld.
OVERSLAAN VAN HUIDIGE BOODSCHAP:
Tijdens het afspelen drukt u kort op de ‘SKIP’ toets (7).
BEWAREN VAN BERICHTEN
BEWAREN VAN ALLE BERICHTEN:
Indien u ALLE berichten na het beluisteren wenst te bewaren:
• Na het beluisteren van de laatste boodschap hoort u 3 pieptoontjes.
• Door nu kort op de ‘STOP/SAVE’ toets te drukken knipperen de lampjes van Mail 1 en
Mail 2 gedurende 20 seconden. Binnen deze tijd drukt u op de Mail 1 toets om de
berichten in Mailbox 1 te bewaren of op de Mail 2 toets om de berichten in Mailbox 2
te bewaren.
BEWAREN VAN ENKELE BERICHTEN:
Indien u slechts één of enkele berichten wilt bewaren, maar niet alle berichten, drukt u
op de ANSWER ON/OFF toets (3) tijdens het afspelen van het bericht. Het overeenkomstige
lampje Mail 1 of Mail 2 knippert gedurende de resterende afspeeltijd van dit bericht, het
bericht is nu bewaard.

LET OP:
U dient bovenstaande procedure te volgen iedere keer als u nieuw ingekomen boodschappen
beluistert en voordat het toestel nieuwe boodschappen opneemt, zoniet zullen alle
voorgaande boodschappen uitgewist zijn.
BEDIENING OP AFSTAND
De PR970 biedt u de mogelijkheid om alle functies ook vanop afstand te bedienen. Op de
achterzijde van het toestel bevindt zich een sticker waarop uw PIN - code vermeld staat:
REMOTE CODE X-X-X
Alleen met deze 3-cijferige PIN-code kunt u vanop afstand de hieronder beschreven functies
bedienen.
LET OP !
Deze functies werken uitsluitend als u met een ‘Tone’-toestel naar uw PR970 belt. U
herkent een ‘Tone’-toestel aan de pieptonen die u hoort tijdens het intoetsen van een
telefoonnummer. Met een ‘Pulse’ telefoon hoort u geen pieptonen, maar klikgeluiden, u
kan dan geen gebruik maken van onderstaande functies.
AANZETTEN VAN DE PR970(mogelijk zonder PIN-code):
Als u vergeten bent het toestel aan te zetten:
• Bel het telefoonnummer waarop de PR970 aangesloten is.
• Laat 10 keer bellen, het toestel schakelt automatisch aan.
• U kan de hoorn inhaken, alle volgende oproepen worden door de PR970 beantwoord
volgens de ingestelde ‘RING SELECT’ stand.
BELUISTEREN VAN INGESPROKEN BERICHTEN:
• Bel naar uw toestel met een ‘Tone’-toestel.
• Nadat uw PR970 antwoordt, hoort U eerst de door u ingegeven meldtekst, waarna het
apparaat een pieptoon laat horen. Toets dan binnen de 20 seconden uw PINcode in
(drie cijfers), waarbij u elk cijfer 1 à 2 seconden ingedrukt houdt. Wacht ook steeds 2
seconden vooraleer het volgende cijfer in te toetsen.
• Uw PR970 zal nu een pieptoon laten horen om aan te geven dat de code correct werd
ingevoerd. Als U geen pieptoon hoort, dient U uw code opnieuw in te voeren.
• Vervolgens kunt U op het toetsenpaneel ‘1#’ of ‘2#’ intoetsen, waarna de PR970 de in
Mailbox 1 of 2 opgeslagen boodschappen zal afspelen.
VERANDEREN VAN MELDTEKST VANOP AFSTAND:
Met de PR970 kan u ook vanop afstand uw begroeting wijzigen.
• Bel naar uw toestel met een ‘Tone’-toestel.
• Nadat uw PR970 antwoordt, hoort U eerst de door u ingegeven meldtekst, waarna het
apparaat een pieptoon laat horen. Toets dan binnen de 20 seconden uw PINcode in
(drie cijfers), waarbij u elk cijfer 1 à 2 seconden ingedrukt houdt. Wacht ook steeds 2
seconden vooraleer het volgende cijfer in te toetsen.

• Uw PR970 zal nu een pieptoon laten horen om aan te geven dat de code correct werd
ingevoerd. Als U geen pieptoon hoort, dient U uw code opnieuw in te voeren.
• Druk op ‘8#’.
• U hoort nu een pieptoon, en u kan nu de nieuwe meldtekst inspreken (max. 30
seconden).
• Als u de volledige begroeting heeft ingesproken, drukt u op ‘5#’.
• U hoort een pieptoon, en de nieuwe meldtekst wordt afgespeeld.
• Leg de hoorn in.
OPNEMEN VAN EEN MEMO:
• Bel naar uw toestel met een ‘Tone’-toestel.
• Nadat uw PR970 antwoordt, hoort U eerst de door u ingegeven meldtekst, waarna het
apparaat een pieptoon laat horen. Toets dan binnen de 20 seconden uw PINcode in
(drie cijfers), waarbij u elk cijfer 1 à 2 seconden ingedrukt houdt. Wacht ook steeds 2
seconden vooraleer het volgende cijfer in te toetsen.
• Uw PR970 zal nu een pieptoon laten horen om aan te geven dat de code correct werd
ingevoerd. Als U geen pieptoon hoort, dient U uw code opnieuw in te voeren.
• Druk op ‘3#’, gevolgd (binnen de drie seconden) door ‘1#’ of ‘2#’, naargelang de Mailbox
waarin u de MEMO wilt achterlaten. Indien u geen Mailbox selecteert, wordt de MEMO
opgenomen in Mailbox 1.
• U hoort een pieptoon, en kan dan uw MEMO beginnen in te spreken.
• Nadat u het bericht volledig heeft ingesproken (maximum 60 seconden), druk op ‘5#’.
UITSCHAKELEN VAN UW TOESTEL:
Als u vergeten bent om uw PR970 uit te schakelen, dan kunt u dit als volgt vanop afstand
doen.
• Bel naar uw toestel met een ‘Tone’-toestel.
• Nadat uw PR970 antwoordt, hoort U eerst de door u ingegeven meldtekst, waarna het
apparaat een pieptoon laat horen. Toets dan binnen de 20 seconden uw PINcode in
(drie cijfers), waarbij u elk cijfer 1 à 2 seconden ingedrukt houdt. Wacht ook steeds 2
seconden vooraleer het volgende cijfer in te toetsen.
• Uw PR970 zal nu een pieptoon laten horen om aan te geven dat de code correct werd
ingevoerd. Als U geen pieptoon hoort, dient U uw code opnieuw in te voeren.
• Druk nu op ‘9#’.
• Haak de hoorn weer in.
HUIDIG BERICHT HERHALEN:
• Druk op ‘4#’ TIJDENS het beluisteren van het bericht. Het bericht wordt herhaald.
• Alle volgende berichten zullen normaal verder afgespeeld worden en zullen bewaard
worden als u de hoorn inhaakt.

HUIDIG BERICHT WISSEN:
• Druk op ‘0#’ TIJDENS het bericht dat u wenst te wissen. Het bericht wordt afgespeeld
tot het einde.
• De volgende boodschappen kunnen op dezelfde manier gewist worden.
• Als u inhaakt, zullen de betreffende boodschappen automatisch gewist zijn.
VORIGE BERICHT HERHALEN:
• Druk meermaals op ‘4#’ TIJDENS het beluisteren van een bericht. Het vorige bericht
wordt opnieuw afgespeeld.
• Alle volgende berichten zullen normaal verder afgespeeld worden en zullen bewaard
worden als u de hoorn inhaakt.
HET AFSPELEN VAN BERICHTEN AFBREKEN:
• Druk op ‘5#’ TIJDENS het afspelen van een bericht.
• Alle berichten worden bewaard, u kan de hoorn inhaken.
HET OVERSLAAN VAN EEN BERICHT:
• Druk op ‘6#’ TIJDENS het beluisteren van een bericht. Het volgende bericht wordt
afgespeeld.
• Alle volgende berichten zullen normaal verder afgespeeld worden en zullen bewaard
worden als u de hoorn inhaakt.
Belangrijk!
Alvorens u contact opneemt met een Service Dienst raden wij aan om eerst een ‘RESET’ van
het toestel uit te voeren (terugbrengen in beginstand). In vele gevallen werkt het toestel
hierna weer normaal.
Hoe een ‘RESET’ uitvoeren ?
•Verwijder het telefoonsnoer uit de telefoonstekker.
• Verwijder de adaptor uit de wandcontactdoos.
•Verwijder de AAA batterijen en plaats deze dan terug.
•Sluit de adaptor weer aan op de wandcontactdoos.
• Steek het telefoonsnoer terug in de telefoonstekker.
• Neem een nieuwe meldtekst op, of gebruik de vooraf opgenomen standaard begroeting.
• Stel de DAG/TIJD functie opnieuw in.
LET OP !
Door deze ‘RESET’ uit te voeren wordt alle informatie (o.a. de geprogrammeerde dag- en
tijdsaanduiding, de meldtekst, enz) volledig gewist !

INSTALLATION
BATTERIES (voir illustration I)
Vous pouvez installer 3 batteries AAA (non fournies) dans cet appareil afin de sauvegarder
toutes les informations en cas de coupure de courant.
ATTENTION !
Les batteries ne servent qu’à sauvegarder des informations dans la mémoire et NON à
faire fonctionner l’appareil en cas de coupure de courant.
Si vous n’installez PAS de batteries, l’appareil fonctionnera normalement, mais ne
sauvegardera pas les messages en cas de coupure de courant.
! Seulement installer les batteries après avoir connecté l’adaptateur.
ÆINSTALLATION DES BATTERIES
• Dévissez le couvercle du compartiment pour piles.
• Glissez le couvercle vers le bas.
• Installez les 3 batteries AAA de 4,5 V selon les indications.
• Remettez le couvercle et serrez la vis.
Le témoin lumineux ‘BATT LOW’ (2) s’allume dans les cas suivants:
• Il n’y a pas de batteries dans le compartiment.
• Les batteries n’ont pas été installées correctement.
• Les batteries doivent être remplacées.
INSTALLATION (voir illustration II)
• Insérez la fiche transparente (fiche modulaire) du cordon dans la fiche de téléphone.
Introduisez ensuite cette fiche de téléphone dans la prise de téléphone murale.
• Si vous souhaitez utiliser le PR970 en combinaison avec un poste de téléphone,
introduisez la fiche de ce poste dans la prise ‘PHONE JACK’ du PR970. Si le poste ne
dispose pas d’une fiche modulaire, introduisez la fiche de téléphone ainsi que la
fiche du répondeur dans la prise de téléphone.
• Introduisez la fiche ronde de l’adaptateur dans le bus AC à l’arrière de l’appareil.
Introduisez l’autre bout du cordon dans la prise murale.
COMMUTATEUR ON/OFF
• Pour activer le PR970, enfoncez la touche ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3).
• Pour désactiver le répondeur, enfoncez la touche ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3). Tous les
témoins lumineux s’éteignent.
BOUTON DE VOLUME (1)
Le BOUTON DE VOLUME se trouve sur le côté droit de l’appareil. Ce bouton vous permet
de régler le volume.

ENREGISTRER LE MESSAGE PERSONNEL
Lorsque vous avez installé votre répondeur, vous pouvez enregistrer un message
personnel. Ce message est destiné aux personnes qui vous appellent pendant votre
absence. La durée maximale de l’enregistrement du message personnel est de 30 secondes.
Le PR970 dispose d’un message personnel préprogrammé. Si vous n’avez pas enregistré
de message personnel, le répondeur émet AUTOMATIQUEMENT le message suivant: ‘Hello,
please leave your message after the beep’.
• Enfoncez la touche ‘GREETING’ (10) et maintenez-la enfoncée.
• Vous entendez un signal sonore, maintenant parlez clairement et le plus près possible
de l’appareil.
• Quand vous avez fini l’enregistrement, lâchez la touche ‘GREETING’ (10).
• Le répondeur émet encore un signal sonore, et ensuite vous entendrez le message
que vous venez d’enregistrer. Les témoins lumineux qui indiquent un nouveau message
arrivé (5,6) restent allumés pour indiquer que le répondeur est en mode ‘ANSWER’.
Remarque:
Le PR970 est équipé de deux boîtes de messages. Vous pouvez conduire les messages
entrants vers un des deux boîtes de messages. Si vous désirez que l’appelant laisse son
message dans une boîte de messages particulière, vous devez inclure dans votre message
personnel que l’appelant doit composer ‘1#’ ou ‘2#’ avant de laisser son message. Si
l’appelant n’enfonce aucune touche, ou appuie sur un autre chiffre que ‘1#’ ou ‘2#’, ou
encore attend pendant plus de 3 secondes avant d’appuyer sur une touche, le message
entrant sera AUTOMATIQUEMENT enregistré dans MAIL 1.
ÆVÉRIFIER VOTRE MESSAGE PERSONNEL
• Appuyez brièvement sur la touche ‘GREETING’ (10).
• Vous entendrez votre message personnel; après le répondeur se remet dans le mode
“ANSWER”.
PROGRAMMER L’HEURE ET LE JOUR
Si vous le souhaitez, vous pouvez programmer L’HEURE et le JOUR.
Lorsque vous écoutez les messages enregistrés, vous entendez APRÈS chaque message
une indication de l’heure et du jour. Si vous programmez l’heure et le jour, vous disposez
toujours de 20 secondes pour enfoncer la touche suivante; si vous dépassez les 20
secondes, la programmation sera interrompue.
PROGRAMMATION DU JOUR
• Appuyez sur la touche ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4) pendant 2 secondes. L’appareil annonce
‘Monday’ (lundi).
• Appuyez sur la touche ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez le jour
exact. Pour reculer d’un jour, appuyez sur MAIL 1 (7) ou MAIL 2 (8).

PROGRAMMATION DE L’HEURE
• Après avoir entendu le jour exact, appuyez sur la touche ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4); le
répondeur annonce ‘TWELVE’ (douze).
• Appuyez sur la touche ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez l’heure
exacte. Pour reculer d’une heure, appuyez sur MAIL 1 (7) ou MAIL 2 (8).
PROGRAMMATION DES MINUTES
• Après avoir entendu l’heure exacte, appuyez sur la touche ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4); le
répondeur annonce ‘0’ (zéro, prononcé ooh).
• Appuyez sur la touche ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez la minute
exacte. Pour reculer d’une minute, appuyez sur MAIL 1 (7) ou MAIL 2 (8).
PROGRAMMATION AM/PM
• Après avoir entendu la minute exacte, appuyez sur la touche ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4)
pour entamer la programmation de AM ou PM; le répondeur annonce ‘AM’.

sur MAIL 1 (7) ou MAIL 2 (8) pour retourner au ‘AM’.
• Lorsque vous entendez l’indication exacte, appuyez sur la touche ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’
(4) pour confirmer la programmation. Le PR970 annonce maintenant le jour et
l’heure programmés.
Pour contrôler le jour et l’heure, appuyez brièvement sur la touche ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’.
S’il n’y a pas eu de programmation, le répondeur annonce “Time is not set” (le temps
n’a pas été programmé).
ENREGISTRER LES MESSAGES
La durée totale des messages est de 15 minutes. Le nombre de messages enregistrés
dépend du temps d’enregistrement de chaque message. Le temps d’enregistrement
maximal est de 1 minute par message. Si les témoins lumineux (5,6) sont allumés, il y
a de nouveaux messages.
CHOISIR LE NOMBRE DE SONNERIES
Si vous souhaitez que le PR970 réagisse après 2 sonneries:
• Positionnez le commutateur ‘RING SELECT’ à l’arrière du répondeur sur 2.
Si vous souhaitez que le PR970 réagisse après 4 sonneries, afin de pouvoir répondre vous-
même à l’appel?
• Positionnez le commutateur ‘RING SELECT’ sur 4.
Le PR970 vous offre également la possibilité d’écouter vos messages à distance. Afin
d’éviter des frais de communication inutiles, mettez le commutateur ‘RING SELECT’ en
position TS (Toll Saver).
• En position TS, le PR970 réagira au premier appel après 4 sonneries.
• Pour les appels suivants, il réagira après 2 sonneries.
• Lorsque vous téléphonez au PR970 pour écouter les messages enregistrés, vous
pouvez raccrocher après 3 sonneries. Cela signifie qu’il n’y a pas de messages.

ATTENTION !
Si vous n’avez aucune préférence quant au nombre de sonneries, nous vous conseillons
de mettre le commutateur ‘RING SELECT’ en position TS.
Remarque:
Le PR970 annoncera quand la capacité maximale du répondeur est atteinte. Quand il n’y
a plus de place pour de nouveaux messages, le répondeur réagira après dix sonneries
avec trois signaux sonores, ensuite il y aura une pause de 20 secondes, ensuite la ligne
sera coupée.
MESSAGES MÉMO
Le PR970 offre la possibilité d’enregistrer des messages MÉMO dans une des deux boîtes
de messages. Si vous souhaitez laisser un message MÉMO pendant votre absence, plus
besoin d’écrire! Le message sera annoncé comme les autres messages laissés dans cette
boîte de messages.
ENREGISTRER UN MESSAGE MÉMO
• Enfoncez la touche MAIL 1 (7) ou MAIL 2 (8) sans la relâcher.
• Après le signal sonore, les témoins lumineux s’éteignent et vous pouvez enregistrer
votre message MÉMO (max. 60 secondes).
• Après l’enregistrement, lâchez la touche. Vous entendrez un signal sonore.
INTERROMPRE UN MESSAGE
Grâce au haut-parleur intégré, vous pouvez écouter les messages entrants. Si vous
souhaitez répondre à un appel, il suffit de décrocher le combiné du poste connecté.
L’enregistrement s’arrête AUTOMATIQUEMENT et vous pouvez mener une conversation
normale.
Parfois, le répondeur ne s’arrête pas automatiquement. Pour répondre à un appel, il
suffit:
• d’enfoncer la touche ‘STOP/SAVE’ (9) lorsque vous décrochez le combiné. Le PR970
arrête l’enregistrement et vous pouvez mener une conversation normale.
ATTENTION !
Le PR970 interrompt automatiquement l’enregistrement lorsque le correspondant
raccroche.
L’appareil coupe automatiquement l’enregistrement après un silence de plus de 7 secondes
afin d’économiser le temps d’enregistrement.

Si vous souhaitez écouter le message suivant: appuyez brièvement sur la touche ‘SKIP’
(7).

SAUVEGARDER TOUS LES MESSAGES
Si vous souhaitez sauvegarder TOUS les messages:
• Après le dernier message vous entendez 3 signaux sonores.
• Pour sauvegarder tous les messages, appuyez brièvement sur la touche ‘STOP/SAVE’
(6). Les témoins lumineux de MAIL 1 et MAIL 2 clignotent pendant 20 secondes.
Dans ce délai de 20 secondes, appuyez sur la touche MAIL 1 pour sauvegarder les
messages dans la boîte de messages 1 ou sur la touche MAIL 2 pour les garder dans
la boîte de messages 2.
SAUVEGARDER DES MESSAGES DE FAÇON SÉLECTIVE
Si vous souhaitez sauvegarder un ou plusieurs messages, appuyez brièvement sur la
touche ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) pendant que vous écoutez un message enregistré. Le témoin
lumineux de la boîte de messages clignotera pendant le restant du temps du message,
le message sera automatiquement sauvegardé.
ATTENTION!
Si vous ne suivez pas cette procédure, les nouveaux messages effaceront les anciens.

Le PR970 vous offre également la possibilité d’activer toutes ses fonctions à distance.
Vous trouvez à l’arrière de l’appareil un autocollant avec votre code PIN:

Vous avez besoin de ce code à 3 chiffres pour activer à distance les fonctions décrites
ci-dessous.
ATTENTION !
Ces fontions ne peuvent être activées qu’au départ d’un poste à fréquences vocales.
Vous pouvez reconnaître un poste ‘FV’ aux tonalités qu’il émet lorsque vous composez
un numéro de téléphone.
Ces fonctions ne peuvent pas être utilisées au départ d’un poste à impulsions (qui émet
des déclics lorsque vous composez un numéro de téléphone).
ACTIVER L’APPAREIL Á DISTANCE
Vous n’avez pas besoin de votre code personnel pour activer l’appareil à distance.
• Composez votre numéro de téléphone et laissez sonner 10 fois. Votre répondeur
sera automatiquement activé.
• Vous pouvez immédiatement raccrocher, tous les appels suivants seront enregistrés
par le PR970 selon le mode ‘RING SELECT’ que vous avez installé.
ÉCOUTER TOUS LES MESSAGES ENREGISTRÉS À DISTANCE

• Vous entendrez votre message personnel, suivi d’un signal sonore. Composez votre
code PIN (3 chiffres) dans les 20 secondes, en gardant enfoncé chaque chiffre
pendant 2 secondes. Attendez également 1 à 2 secondes avant d’appuyer sur le
chiffre suivant.
• Si le code est correct, vous entendrez 1 signal sonore. Dans le cas contraire,
recomposez votre code.
• Appuyez sur ‘8#’.
• Vous entendrez un signal sonore, et vous pouvez maintenant enregistrer le nouveau
message personnel (max. 30 secondes).

message dans laquelle vous souhaitez laisser le mémo. Si vous ne sélectionnez pas
de boîte de messages, le MEMO sera enregistré dans MAIL 1.
• Vous entendez un signal sonore, et vous pouvez commencer l’enregistrement.
• Après l’enregistrement (max. 60 secondes), appuyez sur ‘5#’.
DÉSACTIVER L’APPAREIL
Si vous avez oublié de désactiver votre PR970:
• Téléphonez au moyen d’un poste ‘FV’ à votre PR970.
• Vous entendrez votre message personnel, suivi d’un signal sonore. Composez votre

pendant 2 secondes. Attendez également 1 à 2 secondes avant d’appuyer sur le
chiffre suivant.
• Si le code est correct, vous entendrez 1 signal sonore. Dans le cas contraire,
recomposez votre code.
• Appuyez maintenant sur ‘9#’.
• Raccrochez le combiné.
RÉPÉTER LE MESSAGE ACTUEL
• Appuyez sur ‘4#’ PENDANT l’écoute du message. Le message sera répété.
• Tous les messages suivants seront joués normalement et seront sauvegardés quand
vous raccrochez le combiné.
EFFACER DES MESSAGES ENREGISTRÉS
• Appuyez sur ‘0#’ PENDANT l’écoute du message que vous voulez effacer. Le message
sera joué jusqu’à la fin.
• Les messages suivants peuvent être effacés de la même façon.
• Quand vous raccrochez, les messages concernés seront automatiquement effacés.
RÉPÉTER UN MESSAGE PRÉCÉDENT
• Appuyez plusieurs fois de suite sur ‘4#’ PENDANT l’écoute du message. Le message
précédent sera rejoué.
• Tous les messages suivants seront joués normalement et seront sauvegardés quand
vous raccrochez le combiné.

• Tous les messages suivants seront joués normalement et seront sauvegardés quand
vous raccrochez le combiné.
ATTENTION !
Avant de contacter le service après-vente, nous vous conseillons d’effectuer un ‘RESET’
(initialisation). Dans beaucoup de cas, l’appareil fonctionnera à nouveau normalement.
Comment effectuer un ‘RESET’?
• Débranchez la fiche de téléphone de la prise de téléphone murale.
• Débranchez l’adaptateur.
• Enlevez les batteries AAA et replacez-les.
• Rebranchez l’adaptateur.
• Rebranchez la fiche de téléphone.
• Enregistrez un nouveau message personnel.
• Programmez de nouveau le jour et l’heure.
ATTENTION !
Si vous effectuez un ‘RESET’, toutes les informations (e.a. l’enregistrement du jour et de
l’heure, le message personnel, etc.) seront effacées!

INSTALACIÓN
BATERÍAS (véase la figura I)
En el aparato pueden ser instaladas 3 baterías AAA (no incluidas) para salvar toda la
información memorizada en caso de una interrupción de la corriente eléctrica.
¡ ATENCIÓN !
Las baterías sirven solamente para salvar toda la información memorizada y NO para
alimentar el aparato durante una interrupción de la corriente eléctrica.
Salvo que se pierden todos los mensajes en caso de una interrupción de la corriente
eléctrica, la falta de baterías NO tendrá influencia perjudicial en el funcionamiento del
aparato.
¡ Sólo colocar las baterías después de conectar el adaptador !
ÆCOLOCACIÓN DE LAS BATERÍAS
• Afloje el tornillo del compartimiento de baterías.
• Deslice hacia abajo la tapa del compartimiento.
• Coloque las tres baterías AAA de 4,5V tal como está indicada.
• Cierre el compartimiento de baterías y vuelva a apretar el tornillo.
El indicador ‘BATT LOW’ (2) empezará a destellar cuando :
• No hay baterías instaladas en el aparato.
• Las baterías no han sido colocadas de manera apropiada.
• Las baterías están descargadas y necesitan ser reemplazadas.
CONEXIÓN (véase la figura II)
• Inserte la clavija transparente del cordón telefónico en el enchufe del teléfono.
Enseguida, introduzca este enchufe del teléfono en la toma telefónica mural.
• Si desea utilizar el PR970 en combinación con un aparato telefónico, introduzca el
enchufe transparente de su teléfono en el ‘PHONE JACK’ del PR970. Inserte la otra
parte en el aparato telefónico en el punto destinado a eso.
Si el aparato telefónico no incorpora una toma, inserte el enchufe del teléfono y el
enchufe del contestador directamente en el enchufe de pared.
• Inserte la clavija redonda de conexión del adaptador en la conexión para corriente
alterna (AC) situada en la parte posterior del aparato. Inserte la otra parte de este
cordón en el enchufe de pared.
INTERRUPTOR ‘ON/OFF’
• Se activa el PR970 pulsando el botón ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3).
• Si no quiere usted que las llamadas telefónicas sean contestadas, desactive el aparato
pulsando el botón ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3). Se apagan todos los indicadores luminosos.
EL CONTROL DEL VOLUMEN (1)
El botón de CONTROL DEL VOLUMEN se sitúa por la derecha del aparato, y sirve para
ajustar el volumen a la capacidad acústica deseada.

GRABACIÓN DEL MENSAJE DE ACOGIDA
Después de haber instalado el contestador, usted puede grabar su mensaje personal de
acogida. Este mensaje será dedicado a las personas que le llamen durante su ausencia.
La duración máxima de la grabación de este mensaje es 30 segundos.
El PR970 también incorpora un mensaje de acogida pregrabado : ‘Hello, please leave
your message after the beep’.
Este mensaje será emitido AUTOMÁTICAMENTE si usted no ha grabado un mensaje personal
de acogida.
• Pulse el botón ‘GREETING’ (10) y manténgalo.
• Después de oír un sonido “bip”, puede proceder a grabar un mensaje de acogida,
hablando claramente y en la dirección del aparato.
• Cuando haya terminado, suelte el botón ‘GREETING’.
• Se oirá de nuevo un sonido “bip” y enseguida oirá usted el mensaje grabado. Los
indicadores luminosos que muestran que hay un mensaje nuevo (5, 6) quedarán
encendidos, para indicar que el contestador está en el modo ‘ANSWER’.
Observación :
El PR970 está equipado de dos ‘Mailbox’ (Buzones de correos). Las llamadas telefónicas
que recibe, pueden ser desviadas hacia uno de estos dos Buzones de correos.
Si quiere que uno deje su mensaje en un MAILBOX (Buzón) específico, necesita grabar
en su mensaje de ACOGIDA que las personas que llaman tienen que pulsar ‘1#’ o ‘2#’,
antes de grabar el mensaje suyo. Si la persona que llama no pulsa ninguna tecla, o
pulsa otra tecla que ‘1#’ o ‘2#’, o espera más de 3 segundos antes de pulsar una tecla,
el mensaje grabado será AUTOMÁTICAMENTE registrado en el MAIL 1.
ÆSI QUIERE VOLVER A OÍR OTRA VEZ SU MENSAJE DE ACOGIDA
• Pulse una vez el botón ‘GREETING’ (10) y sueltelo rápidamente.
• Ahora oirá otra vez todo su mensaje grabado; después el contestador se vuelve en
el modo “Answer”.
INDICACIÓN DEL DÍA Y DE LA HORA
Si usted lo desea, puede indicar el DÍA y la HORA.
DESPUÉS DE cada mensaje exterior grabado, el PR970 registrará automáticamente el día
y la hora de recepción del mensaje grabado recibido. Ajustando el día y la hora, se
dispone siempre de 20 segundos maximum para pulsar el botón siguiente. Después de
estos 20 segundos, la operación será interrumpida.
Ajustar el DÍA :
• Pulse el botón 'TIME SET/REPEAT' (4) y manténgalo durante 2 segundos. El PR970
responde : ‘Monday’ (lunes).
• Pulse el botón 'ANSWER ON/OFF' (3) hasta que oiga el día correcto. Para retroceder
un día, pulse el botón 'MAIL 1' (7) o 'MAIL 2' (8).

Ajustar la HORA :
• Después de haber oído el DÍA correcto, pulse el botón 'TIME SET/REPEAT' (4) para
ajustar la HORA. El PR970 responde : ‘TWELVE’ (doce).
• Pulse el botón 'ANSWER ON/OFF' (3) hasta que oiga la hora correcta. Para retroceder
una hora, pulse el botón 'MAIL 1' (7) o 'MAIL 2' (8).
Ajustar los MINUTOS :
• Después de haber oído la HORA correcta, pulse el botón 'TIME SET/REPEAT' (4) para
ajustar los MINUTOS. El PR970 responde : ‘0’ (cero, pronunciado ‘Ooh’).
• Pulse el botón 'ANSWER ON/OFF' (3) hasta que oiga el minuto correcto. Para
retroceder un minuto, pulse el botón 'MAIL 1' (7) o 'MAIL 2' (8).
Ajustar AM / PM :
• Después de haber oído el MINUTO correcto, pulse el botón 'TIME SET/REPEAT' (4)
para ajustar el AM / PM. El PR970 responde : ‘AM’.
• Pulse el botón 'ANSWER ON/OFF' (3), el aparato responde : ‘PM’. Pulse el botón
'MAIL 1' (7) o 'MAIL 2' (8) para volver a ‘AM’.
• Cuando oiga usted la indicación exacta, pulse el botón 'TIME SET/REPEAT' (4) para
ajustar el contestador en AM o PM. El PR970 repite ahora el día y la hora indicados.
Para verificar si haya indicado el día correcto y la hora correcta, pulse brevemente el
botón 'TIME SET/REPEAT' (4). Si el día y la hora no están indicados, el aparato responde:
‘Time is not set’ (el tiempo no está indicado).
GRABACIÓN DE MENSAJES DE LLAMADAS
El tiempo de grabación total que permite el PR970 es de hasta 15 minutos. El número
de mensajes que pueden ser grabados depende del tiempo empleado para grabar cada
mensaje recibido en el contestador. El tiempo máximo de grabación es de 1 minuto
para cada mensaje.
Si los indicadores luminosos (5, 6) están encendidos, esto significa que ha recibido
nuevos mensajes.
DETERMINACIÓN DEL NÚMERO DE TIMBRAZOS DE LLAMADA :
Se puede elegir el número de timbrazos de llamada antes de contestar una llamada.
¿ Quiere usted que el PR970 sea activado después de dos sonidos de llamada ?
• Ajuste el commutador ‘RING SELECT’ que se encuentra en la parte trasera del aparato,
al valor 2.
¿ Quiere usted que el PR970 sea activado solamente después de que el teléfono haya
sonado 4 veces, de modo que cuando usted está presente tenga el tiempo suficiente
para tomar el teléfono y responder antes de que el PR970 lo haga en su lugar ?
• Ajuste el commutador ‘RING SELECT’ que se encuentra en la parte trasera del aparato,
al valor 4.

El PR970 también le permite escuchar desde otro teléfono remoto los mensajes grabados.
Para evitar gastos innecesarios de teléfono, usted puede commutar el commutador
‘RING SELECT’ al ajuste TS (‘Toll Saver’).
• En la posición TS, el PR970 aceptará el primer mensaje al cuarto timbrazo de llamada
del teléfono.
• Para el segundo mensaje y para todos los mensajes siguientes, el contestador
intervendrá cuando el teléfono haya sonado dos veces.
• Si quiere escuchar su PR970 desde un teléfono remoto y oye que el teléfono suena
tres veces, cuelgue inmediatamente. En efecto, esto significa que no hay mensajes
grabados.
¡ ATENCIÓN !
Si usted no tiene preferencia alguna respecto al número de timbrazos de llamada del
teléfono, le aconsejamos colocar el commutador ‘RING SELECT’ en el ajuste TS.
NOTA :
El PR970 indica cuando la capacidad máxima del contestador está alcanzada. Cuando
ya no hay sitio para grabar nuevos mensajes, el aparato dejará oír tres sonidos “bip”
después de diez timbrazos de llamada, luego hará una pausa de 20 segundos, y después
cortará automáticamente la comunicación.
GRABACIÓN DE MENSAJES DE RECADOS
Si cuando esté ausente durante cierto tiempo, desea recordarle algo a alguien, no tiene
necesidad de dejarle un mensaje escrito ya que puede grabar su mensaje en el PR970 en
forma de recado oral en uno de los dos Buzones. Este mensaje será escuchado como los
demás mensajes recibidos en el Buzón de Correos (Mailbox) específico.
GRABACIÓN DE UN RECADO :
• Pulse uno de los botones 'MAIL 1' (7) o 'MAIL 2' (8) y manténgalo apretado.
• Después de oír el sonido “bip”, se apagan todos los indicadores luminosos; ahora
ya puede grabar su mensaje de RECADO (duración máxima : 60 segundos).
• Cuando haya terminado de grabar, suelte el botón. Ahora se oye un sonido “bip”.
INTERRUPCIÓN DE UNA GRABACIÓN
El altavoz integrado le permite oír el mensaje mientras la persona que llama lo está
grabando. Si usted decide contestar esta llamada personalmente, simplemente levante
el microteléfono. El PR970 interrumpirá AUTOMÁTICAMENTE la grabación y usted podrá
tener una conversación telefónica normal.

En algunos casos, es posible que el PR970 no interrumpa la grabación automáticamente.
Si esto sucede, usted puede tomar la llamada y para ello :
• Pulse el botón ‘STOP/SAVE’ (9) después de haber tomado el microteléfono. Ahora el
PR970 parará la grabación y usted podrá establecer una conversación telefónica
normal.
¡ ATENCIÓN !
El PR970 dejará automáticamente de grabar en cuanto la persona que llama cuelgue su
teléfono.
Para evitar desperdiciar el tiempo de grabación, el aparato también dejará
automáticamente de grabar cuando hay un silencio que dure más de 7 segundos.
MENSAJES GRABADOS
ESCUCHA DE LOS MENSAJES GRABADOS :
• Pulse brevemente uno de los botones 'MAIL 1' (7) o 'MAIL 2' (8).
• El PR970 reproduce automáticamente todos los mensajes del buzón elegido, en el
orden de su respectiva recepción.
• Al final del último mensaje, usted oirá tres sonidos “bip” y el contestador se
desconecta.
¡ ATENCIÓN !
TODOS los mensajes grabados son borrados AUTOMÁTICAMENTE, a menos que siga el
procedimiento ‘SAVE’ (véase más adelante).
INTERRUPCIÓN DE LA REPRODUCCIÓN DE LOS MENSAJES :
Durante la reproducción, se puede pulsar brevemente el botón 'STOP/SAVE' (9). El

Si después de haberlos escuchado, usted desea guardar TODOS los mensajes :
• Después de que el último mensaje ha sido reproducido, oirá tres sonidos “bip”
cortos.
• Si pulsa ahora brevemente el botón ‘STOP/SAVE’, se destellan los indicadores
luminosos de Mail 1 y de Mail 2 durante 20 segundos. Dentro de este período, pulse
el botón 'Mail 1' (7) para guardar los mensajes en Buzón 1, o el botón 'Mail 2' (8)
para guardar los mensajes en Buzón 2.

GUARDAR ALGUNOS MENSAJES :
Si usted desea guardar uno o bien algunos mensajes, pero no todos los mensajes, pulse
el botón 'ANSWER ON/OFF' (3) mientras la reproducción del mensaje. El respectivo
indicador luminoso Mail 1 o Mail 2 se destella mientras se continúa la reproducción de
este mensaje. El mensaje ahora está memorizado.
ATENCIÓN :
Es necesario seguir el procedimiento mencionado arriba cada vez que escucha usted
nuevos mensajes grabados y antes de grabar nuevos mensajes, si no todos los mensajes
precedentes serán borrados.
UTILIZACIÓN DESDE UN TELÉFONO REMOTO
El PR970 le permite activar todas las funciones desde un teléfono remoto. En la parte
trasera del aparato hay una etiqueta en la que está escrito su Código Remoto : REMOTE
CODE (CÓDIGO REMOTO) X-X-X.
Deberá conocer este Código Remoto de tres digitos si desde un aparato telefónico
remoto desea activar las funciones descritas más abajo.
¡ ATENCIÓN !
Estas funciones pueden ser utilizadas solamente si usted llama su PR970 desde un
teléfono de 'Tonalidad'. Si cuando está marcando un número usted escucha una serie de
cortos sonidos “bip”, esto indica que está utilizando un teléfono de 'Tonalidad'. Estas
funciones no pueden ser empleadas cuando se utiliza un teléfono de 'Impulsiones' (que
produce una serie de sonidos “clic” cuando usted marca un número).
ACTIVACIÓN DEL PR970 (posible sin Código Remoto) :
Si usted ha olvidado de activar el aparato :
• Marque el número de teléfono al que el PR970 está conectado.
• Deje que el teléfono suene llamando 10 veces; el aparato comutará automáticamente
al modo Contestación.
• Usted puede colgar; todas las llamadas que siguen serán contestadas por el PR970
según el valor ‘RING SELECT’ ajustado.
ESCUCHA DE LOS MENSAJES GRABADOS :
• Llame el PR970 desde un teléfono de ‘Tonalidad’.
• Cuando haya escuchado su mensaje grabado de acogida a la llamada, usted oirá el
sonido de un “bip”. Después de este “bip”, marque dentro de 20 segundos su
Código Remoto (tres digitos), manteniendo apretada cada tecla durante 1 à 2
segundos. Espere siempre 2 segundos antes de pulsar la tecla siguiente.
• Si el código es correcto, oirá un corto sonido “bip”. Si no es el caso, vuelva a
marcar su Código Remoto.
• Ahora pulse ‘1#’ o ‘2#’ y el PR970 reproducirá todos los mensajes grabados en Buzón
1 o 2.

CAMBIO DEL MENSAJE DE ACOGIDA DESDE UN TELÉFONO REMOTO :
El PR970 le permite cambiar – desde un teléfono remoto – su mensaje grabado de
acogida.
• Llame su aparato desde un teléfono de ‘Tonalidad’.
• Cuando haya escuchado su mensaje grabado de acogida, usted oirá el sonido de un
“bip”. Después de este “bip”, marque dentro de 20 segundos su Código Remoto
(tres digitos), manteniendo apretada cada tecla durante 1 à 2 segundos. Espere
siempre 2 segundos antes de pulsar la tecla siguiente.
• Si el código es correcto, oirá un sonido “bip”. Si no es el caso, vuelva a marcar su
Código Remoto.
• Pulse ‘8#’.
• Usted oirá un “bip”, después de cual puede grabar el nuevo mensaje de acogida
(duración máxima : 30 segundos).
• Cuando haya terminado usted de grabar su mensaje completo de acogida, pulse ‘5#’.
• Oirá un “bip”, después de cual el aparato reproducirá el nuevo mensaje de acogida.
• Ahora puede colgar su teléfono.
GRABACIÓN DE UN RECADO :
• Llame su aparato desde un teléfono de ‘Tonalidad’.
• Cuando haya escuchado su mensaje grabado de acogida, usted oirá el sonido de un
“bip”. Después de este “bip”, marque dentro de 20 segundos su Código Remoto
(tres digitos), manteniendo apretada cada tecla durante 1 à 2 segundos. Espere
siempre 2 segundos antes de pulsar la tecla siguiente.
• Si el código es correcto, el PR970 dejará oír un sonido “bip”. Si no es el caso,
vuelva a marcar su Código Remoto.
• Pulse ‘3#’, dentro de 3 segundos seguido por ‘1#’ o ‘2#’, según el Buzón de correos
en que quiere dejar su RECADO. Si no selecciona usted un Buzón, el RECADO será
grabado en el Buzón de Correos 1.
• Oirá un sonido “bip”, después del cual usted puede grabar su recado.
• Después de haber grabado completamente el mensaje (duración máxima : 60
segundos), pulse ‘5#’.
DESACTIVACIÓN DEL APARATO :
Si se ha olvidado de anular el Modo Contestación de su PR970, puede hacerlo a distancia
desde un teléfono remoto de manera siguiente :
• Llame su contestador desde un teléfono de ‘Tonalidad’.
• Cuando haya escuchado su mensaje grabado de acogida, usted oirá el sonido de un
“bip”. Después de este “bip”, marque dentro de 20 segundos su Código Remoto
(tres digitos), manteniendo apretada cada tecla durante 1 à 2 segundos. Espere
siempre 2 segundos antes de pulsar la tecla siguiente.
• Si el código es correcto, el PR970 dejará oír un sonido “bip”. Si no es el caso,
vuelva a marcar su Código Remoto.
• Ahora pulse ‘9#’.
• Entonces puede colgar su teléfono.

BORRAR EL MENSAJE ACTUAL :
• Pulse ‘0#’ MIENTRAS está escuchando el mensaje que desea borrar. El mensaje será
reproducido hasta el final.
• Los mensajes siguientes pueden borrarse de la misma manera.
• Cuando usted cuelgue el teléfono, los respectivos mensajes serán, borrados
automáticamente.
REPRODUCCIÓN DEL MENSAJE ANTERIOR :
• Pulse varias veces ‘4#’ MIENTRAS está escuchando un mensaje. El mensaje anterior
será reproducido de nuevo.
• Todos los mensajes siguientes serán entonces reproducidos en forma habitual y
serán memorizados cuando usted cuelgue su teléfono.
ANULACIÓN DE LA REPRODUCCIÓN DE LOS MENSAJES :
• Pulse ‘5#’ MIENTRAS está escuchando un mensaje.
• Todos los mensajes serán memorizados, usted puede colgar el teléfono.
ESCUCHA DEL MENSAJE SIGUIENTE :
• Pulse ‘6#’ MIENTRAS está escuchando un mensaje. El mensaje siguiente será
reproducido.
• Todos los mensajes siguientes serán entonces reproducidos en forma habitual y
serán memorizados cuando usted cuelgue su teléfono.
¡ Importante !
Antes de recurrir al Servicio de la Clientela, le aconsejamos ‘VOLVER AL ESTADO INICIAL’
(‘RESET’) su contestador. En muchos casos, el hecho de volver a instalar los ajustes
iniciales basta para que el aparato vuelva a funcionar normalmente.
¿ Cómo ejecutar una operación ‘RESET’ (‘Vuelta al estado inicial’)?
• Desenchufe el enchufe del teléfono de la toma telefónica mural.
• Desenchufe el adaptador del enchufe de pared.
• Saque las baterías AAA, pués vuelva a instalarlas.
• Vuelva a enchufar el adaptador.
• Vuelva a enchufar el enchufe del teléfono en la toma telefónica mural.
• Vuelva a grabar un nuevo mensaje de acogida, o utilice el mensaje de acogida
estándar pregrabado.
• Ajuste de nuevo el DÍA y la HORA.
¡ ATENCIÓN !
Cuando se ejecuta la operación ‘RESET’ (‘VUELTA AL ESTADO INICIAL') se borran todas
las informaciones (e.o. indicación programada del día y de la hora, mensaje de acogida,
etc).

INSTALLAZIONE
BATTERIE (ved. illustrazione I)
Potete installare 3 batterie AAA (non in dotazione) in questo apparecchio per salvare
tutte le informazioni in caso di interruzione di corrente.
ATTENZIONE !
Le batterie servono solo a salvare le informazioni nella memoria e NON a far funzionare
l’apparecchio in caso di interruzione di corrente.
Se NON installate le batterie, l’apparecchio funzionerà normalmente, ma non salverà i
messaggi in caso di interruzione di corrente.
! Installare le batterie soltanto dopo aver allacciato l’adattatore.
INSTALLAZIONE DELLE BATTERIE
• Svitare il coperchio dello scompartimento per le pile.
• Inserire il coperchio verso il basso.
• Installare le batterie AAA da 4,5V secondo le indicazioni.
• Rimettere il coperchio e avvitare la vite.
La spia luminosa ‘BATT LOW’ (2) si accende nei seguenti casi:
• Non c’è batteria nello scompartimento.
• Le batterie non sono installate correttamente.
• Le batterie devono essere sostituite.
INSTALLAZIONE (ved. illustrazione II)
• Inserire la scheda trasparente (scheda modulare) del filo nella scheda del telefono.
Quindi introdurre questa scheda telefonica nella presa del telefono a parete.
• Se desiderate utilizzare il PR970 in combinazione con un posto di telefono, introdurre
la scheda di questo posto nella presa ‘PHONE JACK’ del PR970. Se il posto non
dispone di una scheda modulare, introdurre la scheda telefonica e la scheda della
segreteria nella presa del telefono.
• Introdurre la scheda rotonda dell’adattatore nel bus AC sul lato posteriore
dell’apparecchio. Introdurre l’altra estremità del filo nella presa a parete.
COMMUTATORE ON/OFF
• Per attivare il PR970, premere il tasto ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3).
• Per disattivare la segreteria, premere il tasto ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3). Tutte le spie
luminose si spengono.
PULSANTE DEL VOLUME (1)
Il PULSANTE DEL VOLUME si trova sul lato destro dell’apparecchio. Questo pulsante vi
permette di regolare il volume.

PER REGISTRARE IL MESSAGGIO PERSONALE
Quando avrete installato la vostra segreteria, potrete registrare un messaggio personale.
Questo messaggio è destinato alle persone che vi chiamano durante la vostra assenza.
La durata massima della registrazione del messaggio personale è di 30 secondi.
Il PR970 dispone di un messaggio personale preprogrammato. Se non avete registrato
un messaggio personale, la segreteria emetterà AUTOMATICAMENTE il messaggio seguente:
‘Hello, please leave your message after the beep’.
• Premere il tasto ‘GREETING’ (10) e tenerlo premuto.
• Sentirete un segnale acustico, quindi parlate chiaramente e il più vicino possibile
all’apparecchio.
• Quando avete terminato la registrazione, rilasciate il tasto ‘GREETING’ (10).
• La segreteria emetterà nuovamente un segnale acustico e quindi sentirete il
messaggio che avete appena registrato. Le spie luminose che indicano l’arrivo di un
nuovo messaggio (5,6) restano accese per indicare che la segreteria è nella modalità
‘ANSWER’.
Nota:
Il PR970 è dotato di due caselle di messaggi. Potete indirizzare i messaggi in entrata
verso una delle due caselle messaggi. Se desiderate che la persona che vi chiama lasci
il suo messaggio in una casella di messaggi particolare, dovete includere nel vostro
messaggio personale che la persona che vi chiama deve comporre ‘1#’ o ‘2#’ prima di
lasciare il suo messaggio.
Se la persona che vi chiama non preme alcun tasto, o preme un altro numero diverso da
‘1#’ o ‘2#’, o ancora aspetta per più di 3 secondi prima di premere il tasto, il messaggio
in entrata sarà AUTOMATICAMENTE registrato nella MAIL 1.
VERIFICARE IL VOSTRO MESSAGGIO PERSONALE
• Premere brevemente il tasto ‘GREETING’ (10).
• Sentirete il vostro messaggio personale; successivamente la segreteria si rimette
nella modalità “ANSWER”.
PER PROGRAMMARE L’ORA E IL GIORNO
Se lo desiderate, potete programmare L’ORA e il GIORNO.
Quando ascoltate i messaggi registrati, sentirete DOPO ogni messaggio l’indicazione
dell’ora e del giorno. Se programmate l’ora e il giorno, disponete sempre di 20 secondi
per premere il tasto seguente; se oltrepassate i 20 secondi, la programmazione sarà
interrotta.
PROGRAMMAZIONE DEL GIORNO
• Premere il tasto ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4) per 2 secondi. L’apparecchio annuncia ‘Monday’
(lunedì).
• Premere il tasto ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) finché non sentirete il giorno esatto. Per
retrocedere di un giorno, premere su MAIL 1 (7) o MAIL 2 (8).

PROGRAMMAZIONE DELL’ORA
• Dopo aver sentito il giorno esatto, premere il tasto ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4); la
segreteria annuncerà ‘TWELVE’ (dodici).
• Premere il tasto ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) finché non sentirete l’ora esatta. Per andare
indietro di un’ora, premere su MAIL 1 (7) o MAIL 2 (8).
PROGRAMMAZIONE DEI MINUTI
• Dopo avere sentito l’ora esatta, premere il tasto ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4); la segreteria
annuncerà ‘0’ (zero, pronunciato ooh).
• Premere il tasto ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3) fino a quando sentirete il minuto esatto. Per
andare dietro di un minuto, premere il tasto MAIL 1 (7) o MAIL 2 (8).
PROGRAMMAZIONE AM/PM
• Dopo aver sentito il minuto esatto, premere il tasto ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4) per
avviare la programmazione in AM o PM; la segreteria risponderà ‘AM’.
• Premere il tasto ‘ANSWER ON/OFF’ (3), la segreteria risponderà ‘PM’. Premere il tasto
MAIL 1 (7) o MAIL 2 (8) per ritornare a ‘AM’.
• Quando sentirete l’indicazione esatta, premere il tasto ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’ (4) per
confermare la programmazione. Il PR970 annuncerà adesso l’ora programmata.
Per controllare il giorno e l’ora, premere brevemente il tasto ‘TIME SET/REPEAT’.
Se non è stata disposta alcuna programmazione, la segreteria risponderà “Time is not
set” (il tempo non è stato programmato).
PER REGISTRARE MESSAGGI
La durata totale dei messaggi è di 15 minuti. Il numero dei messaggi registrati dipende
dalla durata di registrazione di ciascun messaggio. Il tempo di registrazione massimo è
di 1 minuto a messaggio. Se le spie luminose (5,6) sono accese, ci sono nuovi messaggi.
PER SCEGLIERE IL NUMERO DEGLI SQUILLI
Se si desidera che il PR970 si attivi dopo 2 squilli:
• Posizionate il commutatore ‘RING SELECT’ dietro la segreteria su 2.
Se si desidera che il PR970 si attivi dopo 4 squilli, allo scopo di poter rispondere voi stessi
alla chiamata :
• Posizionate il commutatore ‘RING SELECT’ su 4.
Il PR970 vi offre ugualmente la possibilità di ascoltare i vostri messaggi a distanza. Per
risparmiare spese di comunicazione inutili, mettete il commutatore ‘RING SELECT’ in
posizione TS (Toll Saver).
• In posizione TS, il PR970 si attiverà alla prima chiamata dopo 4 squilli.
• Per le chiamate successive , si attiverà dopo 2 squilli.
• Quando telefonerete al PR970 per ascoltare i messaggi registrati, potete agganciare
dopo 3 squilli. Ciò significa che non vi sono messaggi registrati.

ATTENZIONE !
Se non avete alcuna preferenza particolare quanto al numero degli squilli, vi consigliamo
di lasciare il commutatore ‘RING SELECT’ nella posizione TS.
Nota:
Il PR970 comunicherà quando la capacità massimale della segreteria è stata raggiunta.
Quando non c’è più spazio per nuovi messaggi, la segreteria si attiverà dopo dieci
squilli, con tre segnali sonori, seguirà poi una pausa di 20 secondi e successivamente
la linea sarà interrotta.
MESSAGI MEMO
Il PR970 offre la possibilità di registrare dei messaggi MEMO in una delle due caselle di
messaggio. Se desiderate lasciare un messaggio MEMO in vostra assenza, non c’è più
bisogno di scrivere! Il messaggio sarà ripetuto come gli altri messaggi lasciati in questa
casella messaggi.
PER REGISTRARE UN MESSAGGIO MEMO
• Premete il tasto MAIL 1 (7) o MAIL 2 (8) senza rilasciarlo.
• Dopo il segnale sonoro, le spie luminose si accenderanno e voi potrete registrare il
vostro messaggio MEMO (max. 60 secondi).
• Dopo la registrazione, rilasciate il tasto. Sentirete un segnale sonoro.
PER INTERROMPERE UN MESSAGGIO
Grazie all’altoparlante incorporato, potete ascoltare i messaggi in entrata. Se desiderate
rispondere ad una chiamata, basterà sganciare il microtelefono collegato. La registrazione
si arresterà AUTOMATICAMENTE e potrete parlare normalmente.
A volte, la segreteria non si arresta automaticamente. Per rispondere ad una chiamata,
sarà necessario:
• premere il tasto ‘STOP/SAVE’ (9) quando sganciate il microtelefono. Il PR970 arresterà
la registrazione e voi potrete conversare normalmente.
ATTENZIONE !
Il PR970 interrompe automaticamente la registrazione quando il corrispondente
riaggancia. L’apparecchio tronca automaticamente la registrazione dopo un silenzio di
più di 7 secondi allo scopo di economizzare sui tempi di registrazione.
