ARMINGTHE SYSTEM- ACTIVE
1.Turnthe engine off, exit the vehicle andcloseall doors.
2.Pressandreleasethelockbuttonofyourkeychaintransmitteronetime.
The parking lights will flash once, the siren will chirp once, and the dash mounted LED will
beginto flashslowlyconfirming thesystemisarmed. Ifyouhavetheoptionaldoorlock/unlock
circuitinstalled,thedoorswill also lock.
SILENTARMING -ACTIVE
1.Turnthe engine off, exit the vehicle andcloseall doors.
2.Press and hold the lockbutton of your keychain transmitter for two seconds.
The parking lights will flash once and the dash mounted LED will begin to flash slowly
confirmingthesystem is armed. The siren will not chirp. If youhavethe optional door lock/
unlockcircuitinstalled,thedoorswilllock.
ARMINGTHE SYSTEM- PASSIVE (AUTOMATIC)
Ifthepassivearmingfeaturehas been selected:
Turntheengine off, exit the vehicle and close alldoors.
The dash mounted LED will immediately begin to flash rapidly indicating that the 30 second
passivearming timer hasbegun. IftheLEDdoes not begintoflashrapidly,then you haveleft
adoor, hood or trunk ajar. Closingthisentrypointwillallowthearmingcycletobegin. Ifany
entrypoint isopenedduringthe 30 secondarmingcycle, arming willbesuspended. When all
entrypointsareclosed,the arming cycle will begin again. At the end of the30seconds,the
parkinglights will flashonce,thesirenwill chirp onceandthedash mounted LEDwillbeginto
flashslowlyconfirming the systemisarmed. Ifthesiren did notsoundwhenarming,then the
chirps have been turned off. Please refer to the section titled "Eliminating the Arm/Disarm
Chirps" later in this manual. Passive door locking is a selectable feature. If you have the
optionaldoor lock/unlockcircuitinstalled,the doorsmayormay notlockpassivelydependent
uponthe setup duringinstallation.
PROTECTIONWHILETHESYSTEMISARMED:
Whenever the system is armed, opening any protected entry point, (i.e.; hood, trunk, or
doors),will cause thealarmtotrigger immediately. Thesirenwillsound andtheparkinglights
willflashfor 30 seconds, thenstopandresetto continue to monitorallprotectedentrypoints.
Ifthethiefhappenedtoleavetheentrypointopen,thesystemwillsoundforsixconsecutive
30secondcyclesthenshutdownandreset,isolating the triggered zone, while continuing to
monitorandprotectall other zones.
Whenever the system is armed, the dash mounted LED will slowly flash. This serves as a
visualdeterrentto a potentialthief. ThisLEDisa very lowcurrentlightemittingdiode and will
notcausethe battery to drain even ifleft unattended for long periods oftime.
