Transport – Storage – Care
Prijon PriLite- boat hulls are very sturdy and hard-wearing. The material used has already received its
permanent protection against UV rays. Based on technical reasons the inner part of the boat can not be
UV-protected. So take care that the cockpit is closed during storage.
Normal ground impact occurring when touring cannot harm the hull.
You should avoid paddling along rocky shores with regular bottom contact with stones and rocks.
Same for laminated kayaks. The boats are light, but not as sturdy as HTP-boats.
Transport with standard roof racks is easy.
We recommend you additionally secure the ends of the boat with straps, when transporting longer
boats over longer distances.
If the boat is permanently stored outside, the boat hull should be covered, in order to prevent
premature fading of the color.
Temperatures of -20° C to +60° are no problem at all.
For cleaning use thin soap water. Small scratches can be polished with Acryl-polish on PriLite, Laminated
can be polished with car polish, not to rough.
Repair:
PriLite can be repaired with poxi resin and woven glass mats.
Laminated GFK can be repaired with Polyester resin and woven glass mats.
-Epoxi works, too-
Laminated Carbon/Aramide can be repaired with poxi resin and woven glass mats.
