Each remote control operates within the audio zone to which it is connected, e.g. if it is
connected to ZONE REMOTE CONTROL 4 it will operate only within zone 4

This input cannot be distributed to the other zones.
H. REMOTE SOURCE GAIN
Note:
This gain is also active on the local source, be it microphone or line, directly connected to the
remote control.
5. DIP SWITCH
Note:
If you have a system with several M TRIX88s, the 8 audio source inputs, the MIC1 input and the 2
paging console inputs on the SL VE units will not be active. ll the SL VE units connected to the
M STER unit will use the above mentioned inputs on the M STER M TRIX unit.
The inputs for R88, R88L and LOC02 remote controls on the SL VE units will be active.

6. FIRE A ARM CONTACT
E.g.: If 1–G and 4 –G are shorted, the siren will simultaneously sound in zones 1 and 4; all other zones will
keep on working normally.

Note:
Each contact acts only on its own M TRIX88. If you have an extended system consisting of several
daisy-chained M TRIX88s, contacts can be independently set.

7. 7-PIN TERMINA B OCK
Emergency Power Supply (+24 V DC – GROUND):
Note
If continuous power is provided through a battery, be aware that the device
cannot autonomously recharge the battery.
Emergency siren control ( COMMON – A ERT – EVAC):
Message Generator Input (GROUND – EMC IN):
Note:
This input is particularly useful if you want to send a prerecorded evacuation or alert message
from a message generator (Proel DIGI8) interfaced with the fire alarm control panel.
If you have an extended system featuring several daisy-chained M TRIX88 units, parallel
connect the message generator to all the EMC IN inputs, so that the same message be heard in
all the zones.

Note
This is a mono system, therefore any stereo input will be summed to mono output.

Once you connect the input, set the sensitivity selector according to the following chapter.

- s long as one channel is busy with one paging console, the other paging console cannot be used
- If the system includes several daisy-chained M TRIX88 units, you can only connect 2 BM8X8 paging
consoles to the P GING MIC inputs on the Master unit. Those consoles will operate on the whole
system.
