DIGITAL TIME SWITCH EN - 1

We thank you for the purchase of this Profile product.
Note: It is important that you read this manual carefully
before using the product Then keep this manual in a safe
place.
Note
Check that the voltage in-house corresponds to the
information on the type plate.
Do not expose the appliance to extremely high or low
temperatures.
Avoid contact with water.
For the activation of set programs the switch must be set
to AUTO.
Technical information
Working voltage: 230V (50Hz) – 250V
Maximum resistive capacity: 3500W/16A
Maximum inductive capacity: 2000W
Programming: periods of min. 60 seconds
Day/week program
Explanatory terms
Resistive appliances are appliances that consume the
same current quantity for the whole duration. E.g. lights.
Inductive appliances, on the other hand, consume much
more current at the start than in normal operation. This
includes coffee-makers, boilers, heating appliances, etc.
If the inductive appliance exceeds the inductive capacity
of the time switch the appliance may not be connected
to it. if it is the switching contact in the time switch will
prematurely fail. This falls outside the guarantee
conditions.
Rechargeable battery
A rechargeable battery ensures that the set time and all
other settings are saved in the case of a power failure (to a
maximum of 100 hours with a fully charged battery). If the
battery appears to be nearly empty on purchasing, plug the
time switch into the plug socket for 30 minutes before
starting programming.
12- or 24-hour display
You can select either 12-hour or 24-hour display. To switch
between the 12-hour display or 24-hour display press the
CLOCK key for at least 3 seconds.
Setting the time
Keep the CLOCK key pressed in then press the WEEK
key to set the correct day.
Keep the CLOCK key pressed then press the HOUR key
to set the correct hour.
Keep the CLOCK key pressed then press the MIN
key to set the correct minute.
NOTE: If you do not press a key for 30 seconds the
time switch automatically goes back to the normal
operating mode.
ON/OFF switching program
You can set up to 7 programs with the option of
repeating them daily or weekly.
If you press the PROG key once 1ON appears in the
left bottom of the display:
1 indicates the first program, “ON” indicates that the
appliance will switch on at the set time.
Press the WEEK key repeatedly to set the day(s)
on which the program must activate. You can also
select combinations of days along with separate
weekdays.
Press the HOUR key to set the hour at which the
program must activate.
Press the MIN key to set the minute at which the
program must activate.
Press the PROG key again to set the time at which
the program must switch off. 1OFF appears on the
display. Proceed in the same way.
Repeat the steps above to set a maximum of 7
programs.
Always make sure that the time switch is set to
AUTO if you want to activate the programs. Do this
by pressing the ON/AUTO/OFF key until the
underscore character is above AUTO on the screen.
If the underscore character is above ON the
appliance will work continuously. The switching off
times are then not active. If the underscore character
is above OFF the appliance will not work.
Insert the plug of the device to be switched in the plug
socket part of the time switch. If the connected
appliance has an “on-off” switch make sure this is “on”.
Deleting a set program
Press the PROG key 1 to 7 times then press the
RST/RCL key to delete the set time for the program
concerned.
Press the RST/RCL key again to restore the
program if you have mistakenly deleted it.
NOTE: If you press the RESET key the factory settings
are automatically reset.

Safety instructions
The importer accepts no responsibility for damage claims
with respect to objects or persons that result from incorrect
use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. All
damage claims in such cases will be declared null and
void.
Guarantee conditions
The guarantee period for the PCF-218 amounts to 2 years
and commences on the date of purchase. During this
guarantee period Eltra nv will repair any defects
attributable to material or production faults. ELTRA NV
may choose to either repair or replace a defective
appliance.
ELTRA NV is not obliged to repair or replace appliances if
they have become defective as a result of damage,
inappropriate use, or modifications or adaptations made
after the purchase date.
Take any defective appliance together with the original
receipt back to the shop where the appliance was sold.
Always add a note with a description of the problem.
Damage
ELTRA NV can under no circumstances whatsoever be
held responsible for damage of whatever nature if the
appliance was not correctly installed according to the
specified installation instructions, nor for damage as a
result of unforeseen circumstances such as natural
disasters, lightening strike, etc. All such resulting costs are
consequently at the expense of the buyer and are not
covered by the guarantee conditions.
