Thispumpiswarranted freefrommaterialand/ormanufacturing defectsforoneyearfromdateof
purchase(three yearson selectcastironpumps).Asthesoleand exclusiveremedyforabreachof
thislimited warranty,ifthe productisfound tobe defective,itwill be replacedwithanequivalent
productif itisreturned totheplaceofpurchasewithproofofpurchase.Anydisassembly,modification,
orabuseofthisproductvoidsthislimited warranty.Thisproductisnotdesigned forpumping
flammableorcorrosivefluids,and useofthisproducttopumpsuchmaterialsalsovoidsthislimited

REPLACEMENTPARTS
DANGER Donotusethisunittopumpchemicals,flammableliquids,sewage orcorrosive
liquids.You couldinjureyourselfand thepumpwillfail.Pumpingthesetypesofliquidsvoidsthe
warranty. Thispumpwillhandlefluidswiththesamecharacteristics aswater

Yourpumphasthermalover-loadprotection builtin.Itisnotrecommended forpumpingliquidsover
120°F. The thermaloverload protectorwillautomaticallyshutdownthe pumpinanoverheatsituation.
It willthen resetitselfoncethe pumpcoolsdown.Thepumpwillthen workagain.Thisoverloadis
designedasasafetydeviceand itwillfail afterrepeated use.Normaloperationisforfluidsbetween
32°F&120°F.
DONOTRUN THEPUMPDRY.The pumpdependson waterforcoolingand lubrication.Operating
the pumpwithoutwatermaycausethemotortooverheatorcausedamage topartsofthepump.It
mayalsoshorten the lifeof yourpump.

Forbestperformance,itisrecommended toconnectthe powercorddirectlytothegrounded GFCI
outlet.If the useofanextension cordisnecessary,always useagroundedwaterprooftypecord.
Neveruselongerthana25-ft.cordthatislighterthan 14/3gauge.

INSTALLATION/OPERATION
1. Placethe pumponahardsurfaceinthewater.Donotset the pumpdirectlyinmud orsand.This
maycausethe intakescreentoclog ordamagetoyourpump.
2. The waterlevelmustbeat least1”deepforthe pumptooperate.
3. Plug the powercordintoagrounded120-volt ACoutlet. Thepumpwillstart tooperateassoon
asthe cordispluggedin.
4. The pumpshouldbe turnedoffoncethewaterreachestheselevels.
5. Donotletthepumprun dry.Thepumpdependsonwaterforcooling and lubrication. Operating
the pumpwithout watermaycausethemotortooverheatorcausedamagetopartsof the pump.
Itmayalsoshortenthelifeofyourpump.
Anything that willpass throughthe intakescreen holeswillpass through the pumpwithoutcausing
damage.Theintakescreenon thepumpremoveseasilyforcleaning.Theunitscan alsobeback-
flushed using the garden hoseadapter(select modelsonly).
NOTE:Thispumphasabuiltinanti-airlock device.Leakageisnormalfromthisdevice.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Ifthepumpdoes notstartorrun.
1. Makesurepumpispluggedin.
2. Check forblownfusesortripped circuitbreakersortrippedGFCI outlets.
Ifthepumprunsandmoves littleornowater.
1. Check toinsuredischargepipeisnot plugged.
2. Unit maybe airlocked.Thispumphasananti-airlock devicebuilt in.Cleanout airlock.
3. Check intakescreen forobstructions,cleanif necessary.
NOTICE Heightand/orpiping restriction willreducethepumpoutputperformance.See the
performancechart belowtoinsureyouhavethe properpumpforyourapplication. Wheneverpossible
usethe sameorlargersizepipe thanthepumpdischargeforoptimumperformance.Reducing the
pipe sizewillnotharmyourpump; it will justreducetheoutput.
