This stationary, horizontal style air compressor
features a large 120 gallon capacity. It delivers
32 CFM of airflow at a maximum 175 PSI, making it
ideal for continuous, indoor use with multiple
outputs. It features a 208/230V, single-phase
electric motor, splash lubrication, an industrial-
duty 2-stage pump, and sturdy cast-iron
construction with a powder-coated finish.

1. Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your
work area clean, well-lit and free of
distractions. Place lights so you are not
working in a shadow.
2. Keep anyone not wearing the appropriate safety
equipment away from the work area.
3. Store tools properly in a safe and dry
location. Keep tools out of the reach of
children.
4. Do not install or use in the presence of
flammable gases, dust or liquids.
WARNING! Wear personal protective equipment
approved by the Canadian Standards Association
(CSA) or American National Standards Institute
(ANSI).
1. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide
front and side protection for the eyes. Eye
protection equipment should comply with CSA
Z94.3-07 or ANSI Z87.1 standards based on the
type of work performed.
3. Wear gloves that provide protection based on
the work materials or to reduce the effects of
tool vibration.
4. Wear protective clothing designed for the work
environment and tool.
5. Non-skid footwear is recommended to maintain
footing and balance in the work environment.
6. Wear a NIOSH approved respirator when working
on materials that produce hazardous fumes, dust
or particulate matter.

7. This tool can cause hearing damage. Wear
hearing protection gear with an appropriate
Noise Reduction Rating to withstand the decibel
levels.
Control the tool, personal movement and the work
environment to avoid personal injury or damage to
the tool.
1. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
2. Avoid wearing clothes or jewelry that can
become entangled with the moving parts of a
tool. Keep long hair covered or bound.
3. Do not overreach when operating the tool.
Proper footing and balance enables better
control in unexpected situations.

CAUTION! The air compressor motor and/or engine
will get hot while in operation. Never touch the
discharge tubing, motor, or compressor pump while
in operation. The compressor operates
automatically while the power is connected and the
switch is set to AUTO.
1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was
designed for a specific function. Do not modify
or alter this tool or use it for an unintended
purpose.
2. Do not use the tool if any parts are damaged,
broken or misplaced. Repair or replace the
parts. Only use approved replacement parts with
matching specification.

3. Serious injury or death may occur from an air
tank explosion if the air tank is not properly
maintained or if modifications, alterations or
repairs are attempted. Drain air tank daily or
after each use. Never drill into, weld, patch
or modify the air tank. Replace the tank
immediately or replace the entire compressor,
if a leak develops.
4. Serious injury or death may occur if
modifications are made to the pressure switch,
safety relief valve or other components that
control the tank pressure. Never make
adjustments to the components that control tank
pressure. Do not make alterations to the
factory operating pressure settings. Check
operation of the pressure relief valve on a
regular basis and never operate without a
factory approved pressure relief valve.
5. Check the manufacturer’s maximum pressure
rating for air tools and accessories.
Compressor outlet pressure must be regulated so
as to never exceed the maximum pressure rating
of the tool.
6. Serious injury may occur if a fire is caused by
overheating due to inadequate ventilation or
restrictions to any of the compressor’s
ventilation openings.
7. Serious burn injuries could occur from touching
exposed metal parts such as the compressor head
or motor during operation and even after the
compressor is shut down for some time. Never
touch any of the exposed metal parts during
operation and for an extended period of time
after the air compressor has shut down. Do not
attempt maintenance on the unit until it has
been allowed to completely cool.

8. Serious injury may occur if repairs are
attempted with damaged, missing or removed
protective guards, shrouds or missing covers.
All repairs to the air compressor should be
made only by authorized or trained service
personnel.
9. This unit starts automatically. Always shut off
the compressor and bleed all pressure from the
system before servicing the compressor and when
the compressor is not in use.
10. Failure to transport or operate the air
compressor properly may result in major repair
expenses. Always run the compressor in a level,
secure position that keeps it from tipping or
falling during use.
11. Do not operate without an air filter or in a
corrosive environment.
12. Always transport in a level position and use
protective mats to keep truck beds clean, etc.
Fasten the compressor down securely. Pressure
must be released from the tank before
transporting.
13. In cold climates, drain the tank after each use
to avoid ice buildup.
14. The valve for this compressor is factory
installed to prevent over pressurizing. Do not
tamper with or adjust the safety valve.
WARNING! To reduce risk of electric shock, be
certain that the plug is connected to a properly
grounded receptacle.
1. Disconnect the tool from the power supply
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, cleaning, servicing or when
storing. Such preventive safety measures reduce
the risk of starting the tool accidentally.

2. Do not expose the tool to rain, snow, frost or
any other damp or wet conditions. Water
entering a tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
3. In the event of a power failure, unplug the
machine as soon as the power is interrupted.
The possibility of accidental injury could
occur if the power returns.
4. Make certain the power source conforms to
requirements of your equipment (see
Specifications).
5. This compressor must be connected to a
grounded, metallic and permanent wiring system
or an equipment-grounding terminal or lead.
WARNING! All wiring should be performed by a
qualified electrician.
1. Inspect the tool's air hose for cracks, fraying
or other faults before each use. Discontinue
use if the air hose is damaged or hissing is
heard from the air hose or couplers. Replace
the defective air hose.
2. Do not allow people, mobile equipment or
vehicles to pass over the unprotected air hose.
Position the air hose away from high traffic
areas, in a reinforced conduit or place planks
on both sides of the air hose to create a
protective trench.
3. Prevent damage to the air hose by observing the
following:
3.1 Never carry the tool by the air hose.
3.2 Keep the air hose behind the tool and out
of the tool's work path.
3.3 Keep the air hose away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts.

3.4 Do not wrap the air hose around the tool as
sharp edges may pierce or crack the air
hose. Gently coil the hose and either hang
on a hook or fasten with a device to keep
hose together when storing.
4. A damaged or disconnected air hose under
pressure may whip around and inflict personal
injury or damage the work area. Secure the
compressor's air hose to a fixed or permanent
structure with clamps or cable ties.
5. Install an in-line shutoff valve or regulator to
allow immediate control over the air supply in
an emergency, even if a hose is ruptured.
6. Check the manufacturer’s maximum pressure
rating for air tools and accessories.
Compressor outlet pressure must be regulated to
never exceed the maximum pressure rating of the
tool (see Specifications). Exceeding the
maximum PSI rating can create a bursting
hazard, causing injury and property damage.
7. Serious injury may occur from loose debris being
propelled at high speeds from the compressed air
stream. Always wear OSHA approved safety glasses
to protect the eyes during operation of the air
compressor.
8. Always turn off the air compressor and drain
tank pressure completely before attempting
maintenance or attaching air tools. Release
pressure slowly from the system.
9. Serious injury or death may occur from inhaling
compressed air. The air stream may contain carbon
monoxide, toxic vapors or solid particles. Never
inhale compressed air directly from the pump or
air tool.

WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is
missing. Replace the missing part before
operating. Failure to do so could result in a
malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging
and inspect for damage.
Make sure that all items in the Identification Key
are included.

1. Position the compressor in a work space or area
that adheres to the following criteria:
•Indoors
•Level, sturdy surface
•12 in. away from any wall or obstruction
•Clean and well-ventilated
2. Never place objects against or on top of an air
compressor.

3. If mounting the compressor, adhere to the
following:
3.1 Place rubber feet or isolation pads under
the compressor’s feet.
3.2 Make certain the feet (F) are level and no
stress is placed on the legs when mounting
nuts are tightened.
NOTICE! Extra care should be taken to avoid
personal injuries with automatic controlled
compressors.
NOTICE! Do not leave the compressor connected to
its power source overnight or when not in use.
1. Inspect/clean/change intake elements on a
regular basis. The ingestion of dirt into the
pump is the primary cause of premature wear.
Check intake filters daily.
2. Check tension of bolts and hardware on a
regular basis. Operation of any equipment with
loose bolts and/or fittings will lead to
excessive vibration and the premature failure
of the compressor system control components.
3. Always check the oil level and quality before
starting the compressor. Do not add or change
oil while the compressor is running.
4. Ensure that the intake filters are clean. If
dirty or damaged, clean and/or replace.
1. Ensure the valve (E) and outlet are closed.
2. Connect the compressor to the appropriate power
source and turn the pressure switch (D) to
“AUTO.”

3. The electric motor (C) will start and fill the
air storage tank (A).
4. Air pressure will build until the cut-off
pressure is reached. This will stop the
compressor automatically, indicating it is
ready for use.
5. Adjust the air pressure to the desired tool’s
working pressure. Proceed to use the tool.
6. The compressor motor will start once the
pressure level within the tank falls. This
cycle will continue throughout operation.
7. When operation is complete, turn the pressure
switch to “OFF.”
8. Drain the condensation from the air pressure
tanks at the rear of the tanks and clear the
lines of air pressure after each use.
NOTICE! Always disconnect the compressor from its
power source and drain the air receiver and air
lines of pressure before accomplishing any
inspections or maintenance.
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good
condition is efficient, easier to control and
will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool fittings, alignment, hoses and
power supply cord periodically. Have damaged or
worn components repaired or replaced by an
authorized technician. Only use identical
replacement parts when servicing.
3. Only use accessories intended for use with this
tool.
4. Keep the tool clean, dry and free from
oil/grease at all times.

5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates.
These carry important information. If
unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto
Ltd. for replacements.
6. The compressor has heat dissipation fins for
proper cooling. Clean the fins and other parts
that collect dust.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should
repair the tool. An improperly repaired tool may
present a hazard to the user and/or others.
This compressor is originally filled with SAE 20W
oil (ISO 68).
Eagle compressor oil is recommended for use with
this tool.

compressor. Always use a non-detergent oil with

Check the compressor’s oil level before every
operation.
To fill the compressor with oil, accomplish the
following:

1. Remove the oil filler plug.
2. Slowly pour appropriate oil (see above) into
the pump crankcase.
3. Ensure oil level is in the middle of the sight
glass.
To change the oil, accomplish the following:
1. Remove the oil drain plug.
2. Allow the oil to drain completely.
3. Replace the oil drain plug.
4. Refill with the recommended oil to the proper
level (see above).
Regularly inspect the
compressor’s belt to
ensure the proper
tension (Fig. 1).
1. Apply pressure to
the centre portion
of the belt (Fig.
1-1). There should
be approximately 1/2 in. of slack (Fig. 1-2).
1.1 If the belt is too tight (Fig. 1-3), the
motor may become overloaded and will
overheat.
1.2 If the belt is too loose (Fig. 1-4), it will
slip and excessive vibration and wear will
occur.
To replace an old belt or install a new one,
accomplish the following:
1. Disconnect the compressor from its power
supply.
2. Remove the belt guard.

3. Loosen the motor bolts and slide the motor
towards the compressor head just enough to
allow the old belt to be removed.
4. Install the new belt.
5. Slide the motor away from the compressor head
to achieve the proper belt tension (see above).
6. Align the new belt using a straight edge ruler
against the pulley’s edge.
7. Fasten motor bolts.
8. Ensure the motor and compressor pulleys are
secure and re-check the alignment.
9. Re-install the belt guard.
1. Check the oil level.
2. Drain condensation from the air receiver.
3. Check for any unusual noises or vibrations.
4. Be sure all nuts and bolts are tight.
1. Turn off the power. Clean dust and foreign
matter from the cylinder head, motor, fan
blades, intercooler and air pressure tanks.
2. Clean the air filter by opening it, removing
the filter element and cleaning it thoroughly.
Worn or dirty filters should be replaced.
3. Check the belt for any wear or damage.
1. Inspect unit for leaks.
2. Tighten joints if leaks are observed.
3. Check the belt for proper tension.
4. Check the compressor pulley and motor sheave
are aligned and securely fastened.

1. Inspect the air pressure tanks for corrosion or
other damage.
2. Replace the air filter (more often if the
compressor is used near paint spraying
operations or in dusty environments).
3. Change the compressor oil.
1. Before storing the compressor for a prolonged
period, use an air blowgun to clean all dust
and debris from the compressor.
2. Open the drain valve to release all pressure
from the tanks. This will also drain all
moisture from the tanks.
3. Clean the filter element and filter housing;
replace the element if necessary. Cover the
entire unit to protect it from moisture and
dust.
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the
appropriate facility.
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution
if the tool does not function properly or parts
are missing. If unable to do so, have a qualified
technician service the tool.
