WARRANTY
Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above limitation
may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state.
SHU gives you the following limited warranty for this product only if it was originally purchased
directly from SHU or an SHU Authorized Retail Dealer. SHU will repair or replace, free of charge,
to the original purchaser, any part that is found to be defective in material or workmanship within
three (3) years of the date of purchase.
SHU does not authorize any person or representative to assume or grant any other warranty
obligation with the sale of this product.
SHU' limited warranty is valid only if you retain proof of purchase from SHU or an SHU Authorized
Retail Dealer for this product. If you purchase this product from any other source, your purchase is
“AS IS”, which means SHU grants you no warranty, and that you, not SHU, assume the entire risk
of the quality and performance of this product, including the entire cost of any necessary servicing
or repairs of any defects.
SHU' liability for damages to you for any costs whatsoever arising out of this statement of limited
warranty shall be limited to the amount paid for this product at the time of original purchase, and
SHU shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages arising out of
the use or inability to use this product.
ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE

This limited warranty covers the replacement of parts subject to wear, such as the EHG cell, for three
years. All parts that are found to be defective due to failure to comply with the installation, use or
maintenance instructions, for damage caused by transport, for negligence or carelessness in use,
for unsuitable use, or circumstances are not covered by the guarantee. which in any case cannot be
traced back to manufacturing defects of the appliance.

1.2 GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE USE OF THE SANITIZER
This manual has been created in order to provide the user with a general knowledge of the product
and the maintenance instructions deemed necessary for its proper functioning.
Before proceeding with installation, maintenance and repairs, read the Manual carefully,
it contains all the information necessary for the correct use of the product and avoid injuries.
The control and maintenance frequencies prescribed by the manual are always intended
as the minimum necessary to guarantee the efciency, safety and duration of the product
in normal working conditions, the surveillance must in any case be constant and
yes it must intervene promptly in the event of anomalies.
All routine maintenance, checks, etc., must be performed with the product deactivated and disconnected
from (electrical) energy supplies.
WARNING: any modication or tampering, not authorized by the manufacturer, to the product
and to the safety systems invalidates any responsibility of the manufacturer with regard to CE conformity.
1.3 PRODUCT USE
It is the user's task to inform (by delivering this manual) and train the employees
(conductors and maintenance technicians) so that these indications are brought
to the attention of the personnel who will work on the product.
Do not allow unauthorized personnel to intervene on the product or start it in failure.
Before using it, make sure that any dangerous conditions for safety have been
appropriately eliminated, that the protections are in place and the safety devices are present and efcient.
Make sure that there are no foreign objects, hot material, vapors, fumes, solvents or chemicals, etc.
in the area close to 1m of the contour.
Connection work, commissioning, maintenance, measurements and adjustments
of the electrical equipment or its components must only be carried out by qualied personnel.

2 Presentation
In the center of the aluminum container there are UVC LEDs with germicidal functions to destroy
molds and bacteria quickly. They are optelectronic LEDs designed and assembled in Italy,
with a duration of 25,000 hours, equal to a continuous operation of three years.
They are considered at the end of their life, when the LEDs reach a yield of 99%.
Easy to transport and compact, the SHU 300 - 900 - 1200X
air sanitizer reduces carbon-based contaminants (harmful substances), molds, bacteria, viruses,
odors and volatile organic compounds in a fast and effective, providing fresh, clean air in hours.
2.1 INTENDED USE
The product and the conditions of use must comply with what is specied in point
2.4 “TECHNICAL DATA” and in compliance with the operating principle.
The sanitizers of the SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X series:
They are designed for operation in support of a shelf or furniture at a minimum height of 1 meter
from the oor, or with wall bracketing, paying attention to the power cable that does not constitute
hindrance
Equipped with an ON-OFF switch, they are designed for "continuous use"; it can run 24 hours a day,
7 days a week for best results.
It is up to the user to check for any incompatibility in the operating conditions and in particular
between the type of environment and the air to be puried.
The device turns on with the operation of a single switch.
The only maintenance required will be performed by specialized personnel every three years.
2.2 IDENTIFICATION PLATE
The exact quotation of the model, the serial number and the year of manufacture will facilitate
the identication of the product and quick and precise answers to any questions you may
have. Always report this information when contacting Customer Service or requesting spare parts.
These data can be found on the plate installed on your product. For no reason may the data
on the plate be altered. It is necessary to communicate the serial number every time
the manufacturer is consulted for information or to order spare parts..

2 Presentation
2.3 WORKING PRINCIPLE AND FEATURES
The purication function, described in 2.1, is performed using the photocatalytic oxidation EHG;
technology originally developed by NASA and improved by research from our. SHU development team.
TECHNOLOGY:
The device combines optoelectronic UV light with our catalyst based on TiO2
(Photocatalytic Titanium Dioxide) which reacts with the photons of UV-C germicidal optoelectronic LEDs
to remove airborne contamination of pathogens and / or harmful molds
and organic compounds birds present in closed rooms or areas.
Using a broad spectrum of UV light, it is possible to obtain the same oxidant and ionizing benets
that are found in nature, created by the sun.
SHU 610/1810/2410X is an efcient and environmentally friendly air and surface
purication system that requires only 9 Watts of electricity to operate,
instead of hundreds of Watts like other products in the category.

The UV-C germicidal LEDs destroy the germs that pass through the UV light rays. The light rays
of UV-C LEDs react with the nano semiconductor EHG producing catalytic molecules that identify
and destroy carbon-based molecules (harmful substances such as odors caused by VOCs -
Volatile Organic Compounds, cigarette smoke, molds, bacteria, viruses and other allergens)
by converting them to harmless carbon dioxide and water.
This revolutionary technology, originally developed by NASA, is not based on lters and is virtually
maintenance free.
In fact, in many circumstances EHG technology reduces contaminants more efciently
than a HEPA (High Efciency Particulate Filter) lter, signicantly lowering replacement costs
Eliminates odors from smoke, pets, cleaning chemicals.
Quickly reduces harmful substances, odors caused by VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds),
cigarette smoke, molds, bacteria, viruses and other allergens.
Energy efciency:
SHU 610/1810/2410X require 6/10.5/15 watts respectively, saving you money and
respecting the environment every day.
Since the air is neither ltered nor forced by demanding fans or large puriers, signicant
energy savings are created.

This portable unit allows the sanitization of environments such as:
warehouses / sheds, salons, gyms, restaurants and longe bar, kennels, work sites, deposits of
paint (only areas not exposed directly to the evaporation of solvents - do WARNING Risk of
re and / or explosion), areas with strong odor smoke, morgues and areas of cremation,
reclamation of food deposits, fruit and vegetables in post-harvest cells, slaughterhouses, cheese
maturing areas, and other similar.
The product is intended for civil or "domestic" use in common environmental conditions such as
ofces or rooms with employees, even within "non-productive" industrial premises as the use of
the product has no specically industrial or professional functions.
The run of the product must be performed by personnel trained on the features and about the
content of this manual.
The product requires that the operating cycle and the start-up and shutdown phases are followed
manually by an operator, as well as the adjustments of the foreseen times, as specied below.
These operations take place with the product in a state of absence of danger.
The product operates automatically in the room where it is placed; there are no dened jobs.
The commands are accessible to the user through selection from the keypad; considered a safe
area for the operator. The internal areas are reserved for the PUREAIRION qualied maintenance
technician

3 Dangers and protections
3.1 PROHIBITED USES AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
The product must be used for the uses foreseen by the manufacturer. See chapter 2
In particular, it is forbidden to use the product even partially:
· Without protections and / or with the safety devices deactivated, damaged or missing;
· If it has not been correctly installed;
· In an explosive atmosphere or in places where there is a danger of re;
· For application in areas with characteristics or dimensions different from those established
in the technical data;
· Outdoors where it can be exposed to rain or high humidity;
· In dangerous conditions or product malfunctions;
· For improper use of the product or use by inadequately trained personnel;
· For use contrary to specic legislation;
· In the presence of small pets (impact, fall, damage to the product or injury to the animal) or
children who can touch or play with them independently;
· In case of power supply defects;
· In case of serious deciencies in maintenance;
· After modications or unauthorized interventions;
· With total or partial non-compliance with the instructions;
· With materials and spare parts other than those provided by the manufacturer.
Store and transport -20 ˚ C ~ 80 ˚ C, humidity 10% ~ 90% (non-condensing).
Use only the power adapters supplied with the SHU purication system.
Never remove the outer housing of the SHU purication system.
Any attempt to open the device to look inside is absolutely forbidden.
ATTENTION: the optoelectronic LED technology used in this particular sanitation system if exposed to
direct sight can cause serious damage to the eyes and skin.

FUNCTIONALITIES PROVIDED BY MODIFYING THE RISKS AND/OR GENERATING ADDITIONAL ONES,
WILL BE FULL LIABILITY OF THOSE WHO PERFORM THEM.
SUCH MODIFICATIONS, IF CARRIED OUT WITHOUT THE MANUFACTURER'S AUTHORIZATION, WILL
ALSO VOID ANY FORM OF WARRANTY ISSUED AND WILL INVALIDATE THE DECLARATION OF
CONFORMITY PROVIDED FOR BY THE EC DIRECTIVE.
3.1 SAFETY PROTECTIONS

3.2 RESIDUAL RISKS AND EXPECTED PPE

The EHG cell must be replaced at least every three years. The operation can be carried out
exclusively from Pureairion or a center authorized by it.
ATTENTION
DANGER: UV light is harmful to the skin and eyes. It can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision.
Never look at the LED light when it is on.
To avoid exposure to ultraviolet light make sure the power is disconnected before maintenance. Replace
the cell only with the cable disconnected.

3 Dangers and protections
Always follow the basic precautions during operation of electrical equipment.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, property damage, or personal injury:
Do not use outdoors / outdoors, in humid areas or on wet surfaces;
Do not touch the plug or the appliance with wet hands;
Do not insert any objects into the slots;
Do not use the unit in areas of extreme heat (over 50 ° C) or in the presence of ammable gases.

GUIDANCE AND MANUFACTURER'S DECLARATION-ELECTROMAGNETIC EMISSIONS (EMC)
The system is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment specied below.
The customer or the user of the system should ensure that it is used in such an environment.
EMC risks can be found below:
The sanitizers for the environment, SHU, are immune from disturbances according to directive
2014/30/EU
Electrical equipment requires special precautions regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
and must be installed and put into service according to the EMC information provided in the
documents accompanying such equipment.
The use of a power cord other than the one supplied can increase emissions or reduce the
immunity of the system.
Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If the device does not work as it should, or has been
dropped on the ground or in water, damaged, left outdoors, call a customer service representative at
the SHU service center number.
Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord. To remove the plug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
Do not try to repair the unit. Any attempt to repair the unit by yourself could cause serious
injury and void CE compliance and warranty.

4 Transport and handling of the product
4.1 LIFTING AND TRANSPORT
The lifting and transport of the single product is manual, due to its low weight.
4.2 STORAGE
If the product is to be stored during periods of inactivity, it is recommended to store it in a covered area,
which allows it to be protected from bad weather, and in an environment free from particular aggressive
chemical agents.
For long periods of inactivity it is recommended to store it in environments with a suitable
temperature (from -10 to 40 ° C).
In the case of disposal of the packaging materials, the specic regulations in force in the country of use
must be respected.
5 Installation and use
5.1 PREPARATION OF THE AREA, FOR THE USER
It is' user's duty to prepare:
- The installation rooms as prescribed by the local regulations in force, which regulate health and
safety in the living or working environment;
- The power supply complies with the regulations in force in the place of installation;
- An efcient circuit breaker and relative earthing system;
- Intended use AWAY from the REACH of CHILDREN, in support and without xing obligation.
LIGHTING
The place of installation of the product must have sufcient natural and / or articial light in compliance
with the regulations in force in the country of installation of the product.
In any case, the lighting must be uniform, ensure good visibility at every point and allow a clear
reading of the control panel.
An average illuminance of 100-300 lux / m can be recommended.
The reference standard in Europe for minimum lighting levels is EN 12464-1.

5 Installation and use
5.2 POWER SUPPLY
Make sure that the mains voltage and frequency correspond to those indicated on the product identification
plate or in the wiring diagram.
5.3 USE AND COMMANDS

5.4 ELECTRIC VOLTAGE
SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X is powered with a portable DC 24 V power adapter with a nominal input voltage of
100-240 VAC and a 1.80 m power cord. The adapter is equipped with a power cable of 1.50 m. Detachable
and interchangeable, to meet any needs.
For your safety and to ensure the correct functioning of your SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X, we recommend that
you only use the CE / Gs (safety mark) power supply supplied in the original packaging.
Even momentary interruption of the electric power immediately stops the action of the product.
Restoring normal power conditions will restart the product to normal conditions.

The SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X devices are already set up for Smart control: they can be inserted in the
Rialto Active system produced by Astrel Group srl or they can be associated with a Voice Assistant
(eg Amazon Alexa) equipped with a ZigBee Gateway HA inside. Both of these solutions allow local and
remote control of the device through the App and allow it to be managed using voice commands if any.

5.5 USE OF THE SYSTEM WITH SMART DEVICES
5.5.1 ASSOCIATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE DEVICE WITHIN THE ASTREL SYSTEM
The association of a SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X within a Rialto Active system requires a WhiteBox hub
already installed on site. By opening the dedicated Rialto Active application, available for Android and
iOS devices, you will have to proceed with the association of the SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X: connect the
SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X health device to the power socket and keep it off by acting on its switch

select the EkkO Flush model from the device list, then the EkkO 1R model
follow the procedure proposed by the Application. The stimulation of the
SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X device in the pairing phase is performed by
pressing the power button 6 times
the sanitizer device will appear in the device list.
By pressing the icon of the device just inserted, you access the detail
view page. From it you can manage manual switching on and off (even
remotely) or congure an on / off plan on a weekly time schedule.

To congure the Time Schedule, simply press the appropriate icon. This leads to the weekly
planning page.
The Rialto Active system can also be associated with Google Home and Amazon Alexa voice
assistants. In this way it is possible to control the functioning of the SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X both
via App and voice command.

5.5.2 ASSOCIATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE DEVICE WITH A VOICE ASSISTANT WITH
GATEWAY ZIGBEE HA
The device can also be directly associated with the main voice assistants on the market equipped
with integrated GateWay ZigBee HA. The SHU device is in fact compatible with the ZigBee HA

However, this type of association will not allow the device to function fully: all advanced use functions
will be unusable, SHU will only function as an ON | OFF thus losing the possibility of planning a
time schedule. To pair, follow the standard inclusion mode provided by your voice assistant.

5.5.3 USE OF VOICE COMMANDS
The SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X device, following its direct association with a voice assistant or the
RialtoActive-Voice Assistant association, can also be controlled by voice commands.
The basic voice commands are dictated to the assistant following a precise syntax.
The device must be called up with the name assigned to it when pairing.
The current logics for issuing a voice command are structured as follows:
- activation password of the assistant
- operation to be performed by the SHU module
- name assigned to the SHU module
The operations that the SHU 610 - 1810 - 2410X module can perform
through the voice assistant are for now two:
- activation of the command output which can be activated with the words:
activate, switch on
- deactivation of the command output which can be activated with the words:
deactivate, switch off
Examples of voice commands:
“Ok Google! Turn on Sanicator ”“ ok Google! Turn off SHU “
“ Alexa! Activate Sanicator ““ Alexa! Turn off SHU "
Through the application of the same voice assistants, it will also be possible to I nsert SHU 610
- 1810 - 2410X within the conguration of an endless series of scenarios. In this way,
the functioning of the module can be linked to simultaneous actions of other compatible devices
already associated with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
To create the scenarios, it will be necessary to open the application relating to the voice assistant
used on the smartphone / tablet. A special section of this App will allow the creation of these
multiple simultaneous actions.
