General Operation
Once the batteries have been installed the display will briefly show the
capacity countdown (factory set to 30,000 Ltr) and the the display will enter
sleep mode. To view the three active screens (capacity, live flow rate and
time) press the DISPLAY button and use this button to scroll through the
different screens.
The PTE80 is factory set with a capacity of 30,000 Ltr and a time of 180
days.
The display will return to sleep mode 10 seconds after any activity, to
reactivate the screen push the DISPLAY button.
Install Batteries
Slide off the cover case of the battery compartment, and install
(2x) AAA batteries. Then slide the cover case back.

Thank you for purchasing a Puretec PTE80 Water Filter Monitor. The Puretec PTE80 monitor combines a
microprocessor and a paddlewheel / turbine ow sensor to provide exact measurement and monitoring
of the water ow rate and volume. The lter monitor can be used with water lters, coolers and any
water dispenser to help end users or service technicians measure water dispensed and monitor the
lter life. This helps to ensure that the lter is functioning within the specied service life.
Connecting Fitting
Fitting kit to suit 1/4” tube, 3/8” Tube & 3/8” female BSP.
Setting Capacity and Timing
Hold the DISPLAY button for two seconds, then press RESET button and release both of the buttons. The PTE80 will go into
the setting procedure. The digits will flash to notify you that the setting procedure is on.

Setting Time
Press DISPLAY button to scroll through the timing sequence. The sequence is 0 - 30 - 60 - 9 0...69 0 - 720 - OFF - 0 - 30;
press RESET to save the timing and return to the normal operating screens.
*The capacity mode will be disabled when you choose OFF.
*The setting procedure will be terminated, and go back to the normal operating screens if there is no input for 10 seconds.
Alarm
Warning Alarm
When capacity is lower than 100 Litres or timing is lower than 7 days, the buzzer will beep once and the digit will flash to
notify you to prepare to change the filter cartridge.
Filter Change Alarm
When capacity reaches 0 Litres or timing reaches 0 day, the buzzer will beep and the digit will flash to notify you to change
the filter. The alarm will automatically sleep after 10 minutes and if not reset will continue to alarm when there is water
usage until the monitor is reset.
Reset Button
Press RESET button to reset the setting to the programmed capacity and time.
Low Battery Power Alert
When the battery power is lower than the normal working level, the buzzer will beep twice to notify you to change the
battery. The programmed settings will be kept in the memory when the battery power fails or the batteries are removed.
Setting Capacity
Press the DISPLAY button to choose the capacity. The sequence is OFF - 500 - 1000 -
1500 ...99000 - 99500 - OFF. Then press RESET botton to save the filter capacity value
and move to the timing setting.
*The capacity mode will be disabled when you choose OFF.
